This is pretty self-explanatory. Run your characters through it for an interesting perspective on their personality.

Aaron would be in the back bedroom in the closet under the suitcases and would stop breathing rather than be found.
Arionwyn would have a moderately safe hiding place, but would be giggling so hard you could hear her all the way through the house.
Iri would be sitting at the table reading a book and pretending he wasn't playing at all.
Halian would be under the bed waiting to grab your ankle as you walked by.
Faulkner would be behind the clothes in the closet with his arm raised waiting to stab you.
Kian would be in the tallest tree he could find.
Mya would be somewhere very, very dark. Most likely a forgotten corner in the basement.
Klista would have an invisibility spell and sneak around behind you all through the game, making just enough noise to let you know you were being followed.
Fairfax would be somewhere obvious and would get angry if you laughed at him.
Chayten would hide so well that the seeker would forget he was playing and move on to something else, making Chayten furious when he came out.
Clark would be in a standard hiding place, somewhere you would expect someone to hide.
Kelly would try to steal Arionwyn's hiding place and give them both away.
Smoky would be hiding behind a telephone pole hoping desperately that no one would find him.
Lee would hide very well, enjoy the solitude, and then drift away from the game like she had never been playing.

We play with free-homes, just to clarify.

Kaida would hide in almost plain sight but would spend the whole time keeping just far enough from the "it". She would then wait by the base until they return and call it as soon as they see her.

Pernoxnix would be invisible.

Stellwento and Fulgar would hide well but freak the "it" out as soon as they had a chance, then beat feet to base.

Umectra would hide in the smallest place possible and never speak or come out until found.

Lumevita would do differently depending on who the "it" was. She'll let them get her if everyone else beat the "it".

Lakkerfax would "hide" in the fireplace, but his blaze would be obvious so he prefers tag over hide and seek.

Tanner would hide well but in a place he can easily get out of if he needs to make a break for it.

Aren, Timothy, and Guilo would hide in the rafters so they could dive bomb the base if necessary.

Melany would hide in the darkest corner she could.

Mahlia would climb high up in a tree and then stay perfectly still.

Davien, chuckling to himself, would roll under a bush. Never mind how prickly it is.

Faolan would hide someplace where any child could find him, and then wait there, almost grinning.
(That doesn't really sound like him, but if he were actually playing, he would have to be in an unusually goofy mood.)

This is really neat! (And funny - I agree with Melody.) I'll have to think about this. I usually don't do this kind of character development, but I really like this idea.

That's so Iri...

I know all of you don't really know my characters, but I thought I'd still give this a whirl. :D

Michael would dress in the garb of a common soldier and mingle with those in the patriot camp while spying on "the seeker" and plotting pranks for him/her.

Dreamer would hide in the forest shadows, nearly invisible. (Warning: Never, ever sneak up on her!)

Christine would find the perfect hiding spot, but then get distracted by a task or helping someone.

Jud would hide behind a tree trunk.

Fearless would move from tree to tree always keeping out of sight. (He's a Griffin by the way.)

Patriot, like any true dog, would know all the best places to hide, but easily get sidetracked when he spots a squirrel or butterfly.

Valiant wouldn't play saying, "Oh balderdash! Hide-and-Seek is for young pups who don't know how to spend their free time wisely. Hide-and-Seek indeed! Next they'll be playing tag with enemy troops!"

It's funny how we all thought of different settings. I should write an outdoor version as well. They would all act differently that way.

This should be fun...I've never tried anything like this before. *thinks for a second* Okay! I got it!

Brian would find the best hiding place were nobody could see him and sit there, perfectly still. If he were found he would probably then laugh and commend the finder for their seeking skills. ;)

Emuna would find a large tree and wait silently, with an arrow strung on her bow...

Gavin would find a lame hiding place, decide he was bored before the person even finished counting, step out of his hiding place, and proceed to tell the seeker where the others hid.

Yah...my characters are...colorful. To say the least.

Zaciré would likely hid someplace difficult, with his dagger drawn. When "it" came by he'd press the dagger to their throat and demand to be brought back to the base without being tagged.

Numaryá would hide in the woods. Her soft moccasins would make no noise and she'd quietly sit there until she was found (if she was found at all).

Aravína would hide on a hillside. If you don't think she could, then you don't know her...

Hardvan would hide in a fairly generic place and then execute all sorts of military maneuvers on you while you were chasing him.

Srugoz would leave his body until the game was over ( That sounds really weird not knowing my book... )

It took a bit of wrangling to get my brain to think of my oh-so-mature young adult characters from Alaidia (Peter's Angel) playing hide & seek, but it worked! I imagined them playing on the grounds of the Revalian palace (Peter's castle), FWIW...

Nathan – would be hesitant to play. If you convinced him to play, he would be obsessed about finding a good hiding spot and unreasonably afraid of getting caught. Being small, he would tuck himself in some dark corner or crawl under something. If he had time to think, he’d be moderately hard to find; if he panicked and ran short on time, he might scramble into an obvious place. He would make a slow and terrible seeker.

Peter – would be a decent hider, since he is agile and a quick thinker. He’d be more likely to climb up someplace than tuck himself down low. Peter would have the most fun seeking, however, and he’d be a good-natured fair sport, though he might be a bit disgruntled if someone ruined his best hiding spot. He would encourage others to play and drag people into the game that otherwise wouldn’t join.

Katrina – would be shy and hesitant, also needing to be cajoled into playing, even though she secretly wants to play. Since she’s a clumsy slow-thinker, she’d a poor hider and easy to find. But even though she wouldn’t realize it at first, she’d enjoy the fun and laughter immensely and wouldn’t care about winning or losing.

Edwin – would thoroughly enjoy the fun and probably spice up the game with extraneous play. He’d do things like jump out and scare the seeker, chase people around the yard after he found them, and rough house. He’d be a decent hider, but ultimately he’s just in for the fun of it.

Mark – could probably not be convinced to stoop low enough to play a rough game, but if he did, he would find a decent hiding spot – preferably one with a vantage point – and wait in stoic silence. He would not do a lot of running or crawling. He wouldn’t enjoy seeking at all, even though he would be good at it because he would remember people’s preferences and snoop out their favorite hiding spots easily.

Jason – would enjoy the game for the fun of it, preferring hiding over seeking, and be a fair sport. He would choose to hide standing, versus crawling down somewhere or climbing up, and he’d be good at keeping quiet while waiting to be found.

Meriah – would not be disposed to play, simply because it is not her kind of game. However, she could be convinced to play if she thought others would be happier if she did. She would be a quiet player, a decent hider and a fair seeker, that would enjoy the ordeal even if she wasn’t boisterous about it.

Location: No; where is YOUR location?
Michael: Would probably hide behind someone hiding, not being able to be found, or would go into a place outside the rules of the game, E.G: Miles away.

Namor: Would sit right behind the seeker.

Svensteel: Would find some secret place, or already know about it, that no one else knows about.

Are we supposed to do all of our characters or just our MCs?

Candy would be hiding in some little door she found on the side of the stairs for storage.

Merry would be hiding behind a huge stallion.

Paul would be laughing and hiding behind a tree or something.

*laughs* This is fun. :D

Aisling...would hide behind a closed door somewhere and she'd jump at you and scare you when you opened it.

Nolan...would probably hide somewhere so extremely simple but be so terribly quiet that you wouldn't even think of it. Like underneath the table or behind a door.

Nessa...would most likely hide in the oven or somewhere else extremely complicated. But she'd also prolly give herself away accidentally somehow. (e.g. banging the oven door.)

Azriel...would hide somewhere normal. Like under a bed. And he'd make you chase him FOREVER to tag him and then he'd swear he hadn't been tagged. :P

Sarah...would hide in a really good hiding spot and then when you aren't looking she'd run far far away.

Nessa- She's given up the veil, the vows she'd sworn, abandoned every effort to conform. Without a word to anyone she's gone her way alone, a dove escaping back into the storm.

Nolan- And though I don't understand why this happened, I know that I will when I look back someday, and see how you've brought beauty from ashes, and made me as gold purified through the flames.

Azriel- And who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts, and tearing love apart? You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul, so don't come back to me. Don't come back at all...

 This is fun! I only have three for now.

Jay would be somewhere complicated, like climbing up the walls of the closet, drop down and scare you, and then running a long way , making it to base just in time if he didn't trip over something.

Shawn would be hiding against a wall between two projecting objects so quietly you would walk by and not notice her.

Dani would hide under a table and break for the base the first chance she got.

This thread is quite hilarious.

Kai would turn himself invisible and go practice with his sword, the noise making it easy to find him, but he wouldn't really care.

Klasina would hide in some little corner, and giggle, not caring if people found her because she's having too much fun.

Roel would protest that as a soldier he has better things to do that play hide-and-seek, but Klasi would make him play. He'd probably hide under a bed.

Tirzah would love playing, but would make herself invisible and follow Kai around, giggling. But she wouldn't mind be caught.

That's a Caliga only ability, but yes. (and yes I know it's quite silly, they have the same opinion of it.)

To keep from further derailing this thread, I'll start a thread about the phantoms in the proper forum. :)
