Understanding Eartea's Cobha is essential to understanding anything else about Eartea. The Music is the ultimate scientific law of Eartea, and it pervades each life in a way even more profound than gravity.

"The Music" is the harmony (or disharmony, as it were) of all things. The dance of stars and planets, the infinitesimal motion of atoms, the roar of a lion or the lullaby of a mother, everything is part of the Music.

All beings and objects are unconscious of the Music, except for humanity. And because they are aware of the Music, it is given to them to work in it.

The Creator of All formed the Music. All things are part of His Song. But some things within His Music have the power to sub-create within it. To use the notes given to them as they please.

This is not to say that the Creator does not guide the Music. That is the mystery of Man's relationship with God. The Creator ordained all things to be, chose all things Himself, and guides all things to that fate, yet at the same time He has given some creatures the power of their own free agency. And yet, their free agency and His pre-ordination do not conflict. What He ordained their agency freely chooses.

But the power given to men over the Music is not merely free agency, but also the power to guide the Music in their own, small way. So, those who learned the secrets of Essence, of harmony, symbolism, and melody, can use music and instruments to create melodies which guide the True Music.

Each person is endowed with creative energy. Those who can channel that energy into the medium of music can use that medium to guide the True Music.

Of course, there is also danger. Each person's creative energy is raw material. It is not only shaped by things inside him but outside him. The babble of a brook, the roar of a lion, each contributes to the Music. And unguarded hearts can be guided, to good or evil, by these Musical influences.

But these inanimate influences have very little power beyond the emotional level. While they can effect what a man thinks or feels, they cannot control what he thinks or feels.

But when there is intellect and creative energy behind a melody, it can and must dominate him. We are only a part, and therefore dominated by, the whole of the Music.

For us, a music is merely a sympathetic to emotion. For those of Eartea, reality itself is a sympathetic to Music. A song doesn't merely make a man feel strong...it has the power to make him truly strong!

But one will cannot by superimposed over another. Those who are effected in heart or mind are effected by choice.

In the physical realm, it is different. The Music can summon up a wave to engulf a ship, or a wind to destroy a field of wheat.

When two wills, using the Music, oppose each other, the triumph is not determined by the power of the intellect or the strength of will but by the depth of creative energy. Those with greater creative energy always prevail in Musical conflict, because creativity is what gives man power over the Music.

Creativity is not inherently good. It is a tool which shapes raw material. But true creativity always tends to good, simply because evil always tends to randomness, which contradicts creativity. Creativity and randomness are contradictions.

Never the less, those who serve the forces of evil can use creativity and order as a means to an end. Many of the greatest Musicians were evil at heart, but still had greater creative power. While the goal might be evil, things with an appearance of good, can by used to an evil end.

Pardon my abstract-ness. Any discussion of Cobha is bound to be abstract, especially a Cobha based on an abstract concept like music.

I am Ebed Eleutheros, redeemed from slavery in sin to the bond-service of my Master, Jesus Christ.

Redemption is to be purchased, to have a price paid. So I was redeemed from my master sin, and from justice, which demanded my death. For He paid the price of sin by becoming sin, and met the demands of justice by dying for us.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

Note: Ebed is Hebrew for bondsman, Eleutheros is Greek for unrestrained (not a slave).
