Terminus: REALLY?! You give us epic powers and the sword is just....a sword.

Me: I ran out of genius ideas, k?! Yeah, the only thing different from a normal sword is the handle. The handle sort of wraps around his hand making it impossible to like...make him drop the sword, and it protects his hand from any blows.

Emuna: Rant and a half that nobody cares about...

Me: *frowns* She asked!

(on a side note, I fail at sword fighting and I'm only semi-good at grappling so excuse me while I butcher this fight...)

Terminus: Umm...yeah, why don't I know what to do?

Me: *head/desk* Fail...

Terminus: *dodges whatever it was Davien did and thrusts at Davien's arm/shoulder*

Me - C'mon, Faith, you can do it. The more swordfights you initiate, the better you get.

Ember - (Scoops up Jay and takes off, landing back in Author Shawn's post) Oi. Now stay out of trouble, or I can't answer for Thysal when she comes back. (Takes off again) C'mon, Guilo, lets go tackle some form of flying villain.

Silver - If you call swimming flying, yes, then I fly underwater. Hang on!

Me - My dragons and riders have been swiftly seperated . . .

Sylvia - Good individual development.

Me - Unless a villain decides to take you out.

Sylvia . . .

Me: What I'd do, Beth, is to take your time carefully to picture the fight in your mind. If you need to, stand up and pretend you are Terminus, move around and try to find a logical way to counter whatever your opponent does. That's what I'm doing.

Davien: *leans back to avoid the thrust, then, while Terminus's blade is down from the momentum of his thrust, Davien brings his sword up and thrusts at Terminus's shoulder*

Jay: *tries to get up* *is furious* *can't* "No problem."

Shawn: "Thanks a million, Ember."

Me: Well, that's a whole other way to make my sister think I'm insane. Try acting out the CI thread. *puts on list of things to do next time I don't think my sister is watching*

Terminus: *clashes his sword against Davien's, turns his sword in a circle, twisting Davien's sword in his hand.*

Me: I'm not entirely sure how possible that is...but I've seen that done in movies. Yeah...feel free to correct me those of you who actually know how to sword fight.

Me: Yes, I also make sure no one is looking. You could go in the bathroom and shut the door to do it.

Davien: *feels his hand twisting, so ducks under his arms, spins around, pulls free, and backs away, sword up and ready*

Me: If that's hard to picture, then hold loosely onto a doorknob, and try to duck under your arms while spinning.
Sorry, Beth, but I have to go to class now. I'll be back in a couple hours.

Me: Haha, no, our bathroom is too small for that....my bedroom might work... *goes to backyard to find stick and grabs inflatable penguin from when I was like three* Be right back...

*comes back five seconds later*

Me: K, I got nothing.

Emuna: You didn't even try...

Me: Fine! I'll go actually try and see if I get anything! *walks away grumbling*

Emuna: *smiles*

Terminus: So what? I'm just stuck in this position until she gets back...?

Emuna: Pretty much.

*me comes back*

Me: Okay...my verdict....I have no idea how to sword fight myself and I'm going to figure out a way to convince my sister to stand in the back yard holding a stick so I can sword fight her...

Emuna: Niice...

Terminus: *Swings at Davien's neck*

Me: Don't worry Ciela, if they stick near Trev, Malcolm and Erronys they'll be just fine.

Kaida: *under her breath* Assuming Trevelian is one of us...

Last page I read was 198, so excuse me if these actions are out of date:

Rinifer: *ducks to avoid the strike, then steps back and is prepared for an attack*

Elanhil: Stay near Thysal. Two dragons watching each other's back is very powerful.

Merashath: *latches his claws onto Tynx's shoulders and breathes fire downwards at his head*

Cuoash: No! *Dashes forwards and quickly creates a small dome over Tynx. The fire melts it partway, but she replenishes it so that it protects him.

Merashath: *Tries to fly away, but can't as his feet are iced over, so he lets out a huge ball of fire, which at such close range explodes the ice dome, then he rains another shower of sparks down on Tynx and co.

Cuoash: *hurriedly spreads a sheet of ice over the heroes so that they are protected, then fires a long ice-beam at Merashath that knocks him off course, and he lands by Fallen*

Trina: @Thysal - Who are we attacking now?

Me: Yup, that's probably all out-dated, so if need-be dis-regard it. Tynx, if you're still not fighting Fallen, dis-regard Merashath and Cuoash.

Davien: *quickly brings sword up so that it blocks the swing, then kicks Terminus in the chest*

Me: Davien's method is strictly freestyle.

Terminus: *doubles back from the blow* *quickly recovers*

Me: *yawn*

Emuna: You're just going to keep on making up excuses to be losing aren't you?

Me: What?! I really am sleepy!

Terminus: *thrusts at Davien's chest while sweeping his leg under Davien*

Davien: *falls, and thus avoids the thrust. Tucks and rolls away, then springs to his feet*

Me: Think that works, Beth?

Terminus: *swings sword at Devian's neck again*

Me: I'm failing at fighting today....

Me: Come on, Bethy. Positive attitude, please!

Davien: *ducks, chops Terminus's shoulder*

Lyna: Well yes, technically it's swimming, but when a wyvern swims he keeps his wings folded, but a lyrblaka uses his as if he is flying in the water.

Me: I'm positive. I'm positive I'm not good at sword fighting, hehe. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Terminus: You know, this is proving...really nothing... *dodges sword and creates a dark blue orb in his hands* Because either way....I'm going to end up killing Emuna-

Me: And then I'll regenerate her and you can kill her again...

Emuna: Hey!

Terminus: *throws orb at Davien's face* Yeah, pretty much.

Me: Um, is Terminus's shoulder hurting, or anything?

Davien: *watches, fascinated, as the orb grows. Gasps and jumps aside when it comes flying towards him, an amazed look on his face*

Me: He's never seen magic like that before.

Davien: Maybe you will kill Emuna---but only over my dead body!

Me: And he means that literally.

Me: No...because he dodged it.

Terminus: Magic? What is magic?

Me: Nothing, T. Actually, Terminus doesn't use magic, it's just a form of cobha that I haven't officially named yet...

Terminus: (@Me) T? (@Davien) Then I guess I'll have to kill you, wish I could say I felt bad about it...but I don't. *throws three more orbs at Davien*

Me: Yup! T.

Me: Oh. Good dodge, Terminus. (Did I just complement a villain? )

Davien: *manages to dodge the first two, than blocks the last one with his sword*

Me: What happens when an orb hits a sword?

Me: Nothing happens if the orb hits the sword, but if he tries to cut through one of the orbs it would be the equivalent of him cutting through a lightning bolt.

Terminus: *glares* Of course, it would be just too easy if killing you was-

Me: Easy?

Terminus: Whatever. *throws another orb at Davien, aiming for his head.* *kicks Davien in the chest, then throws another orb at Davien's arm*

Mordir: [Sneers] Exactly. [Slashes at Brian's head, but pulls back at the last second and thrusts at his chest]

Me: A little violent there, don't you think?

Mordir: I don't care.

Aris: Hi new people!!!

Aelynn: [Waves while cuddling Skooter]

Seymour: [Smiles]

Chayn: [Huffs in amusement] Of course. I figured you three wouldn't want to exert too much energy scrabbling down yourselves.

Rowen: What exactly is your goal here?

Chayn: [Ignores him]

Cassie: [Smiles broadly] Yay! I finally got it!

Chayn: [Smiles and nudges Ryan] Thank you, little one.

Rowen: Need your rider, sis?

Aris: [Kneels down by Jay] Where are you hurt?

Tynx: [Winces instictively, but when he doesn't get burned, he looks up] That.... was a little too close. Thanks. [Turns and tries to hack at the shadow with his sword] Alright, this is comin' off.

Aelynn: Why doesn't he want help?

Seymour: He's stubborn.

Tynx: I am not! I don't want everyone else getting hurt!

Seymour: They signed up for getting hurt when they started fighting the villains, silly.

Jay: "It's mostly my shoulder and ribs..."

Shawn: "Gladly. Thank you, Rowen." *smile fades slightly as she looks at Jay* "If he moves..."

Jay: "I'm persuaded, all right?" *grimaces in an effort to smile* "Go get 'em."

Me:

Me: Now this is getting harder.

Davien: *moves so that the orb misses him. Manages to grab Terminus's foot, and throws him down onto his back, but then the last orb hits his arm*
*screams through his teeth, lets go of Terminus's foot, is pushed back several steps, and almost falls*

Kri: *slightly pouting* Someone was asking about Fantor.

Me: I know.

Ophelia: Well, should I call him?

Me:Yea . . . .

Fantor: What? *Stands errect in human form, arms crossed*

Me: Riniel Jasmina said to you, " If I may be so bold, Trevelian makes an excellent rider"

Fantor: *Strides away*

Kri: Where are you going?

Fantor: *Pauses, but doesn't turn* To find Trevelian.

Ophelia: What! You want to take Trevelian flying?!

Me: Fantor, I told you what Riniel said, I didn't say you could fly.

Fantor: *Spins and glares* Why not?

Me: Cause you're going to just take him up and dump him off!

Fantor: * * Yes.

Me: Ophelia and Kri are pretty well developed, being MCs, Fantor is apparently going to be more developed here.

Fantor: Bye.

Me: I didn't say you could go!

Fantor: I'm going to find this Riniel Jasmina, and ask for Trevelian.

Ophelia: *Whispers @ me* Should I call Jared?

Me: *Thinks for a moment, Fantor's rider would be a help* *Grabs Fantor's shoulder* Please be good. Ok?

Fanor: *Grunts and walks away*

Kri: So was that a yes or no?

Me: @ Kri I wish I knew. *Calls at Fantor* Be good or I'll bring Jared over here!

Brian: *narrowly dodges slice at his head* Seriously?! Can you try to be a little courteous, I mean, I was JUST going to crush you.

Me: Well, that makes a world of difference.

Brian: *crouches down to avoid the thrust at his chest and runs leg underneath Mordir, trying to make him fall*

Me: *mind blanks for a second* Wait...who was fighting Davie-ohh, right, duh.

Terminus: *falls, but quickly gets back* Nice dodge. *throws two more orbs at Devian, punches Devian in the jaw*

Me: Yeah....failed.

Me: Um, so, I'm no longer sure what's going on with Fallen and that fight. Some people left, I think, but I'm not sure who. So if you think your character is still fighting her, please let me know.

Davien: *one orb misses him, and the second hits his hip. (It feels like he hit it on the corner of a table while running at full speed. Ouch.) He grabs Terminus's shirt as Terminus punches him. Hits him on the head with the hilt of his sword*

Terminus: *is covered by armor to protect him from blow* *grabs Davien's arm as he goes to hit his head* *twists Davien's arm while holding his wrist in a pressure point*

Me: Preside point?

Davien: *as Terminus twists his arm, Davien switches his sword to his left hand, places the tip on Terminus's neck, and pushes...*

Me: Typo...meant pressure point. Uhh...don't think that's possible...but...yeah...okay...

Terminus: *kicks Devian in his knee and twists his arm tighter*

Me: And...that would really hurt... *has had arm twisted before*

Me: Could you explain why not?

Davien: *a groan escapes him. His knee buckles slightly when Terminus kicks him. Gasping, he swings his sword with his left hand and the edge hits Terminus on the side of the head*

Me: Errm....not really....sort of hard to explain. Moving on.

Terminus: *is not affected by sword* Ha! Your sword has no affect on me whilst I wear my armor. *twists Davien's arm more* You know, I could break this...who knows? You might thank me later. *presses harder on Davien's wrist, increasing the pressure point*

Davien: *pokes his finger hard into Terminus's eye*

Me: The only thing I could think of. Now think what you would do if someone's finger were poked into your eye.
Do you think it's possible for Davien to do that, in this position?

Me: Umm...I would close my eye and kick said person....but, yeah, Davien can do that.

Terminus: *squints* Ow! All right, boy! You just earned yourself a broken arm! *twists Davien's arm until he hears a snap*

Me: *head/desk* My MCs aren't violent...my bad guy...is very violent...

Terminus: What am I supposed to be? All hugs and kisses?

Me: Blech, no!

Emuna: Not even we are like that...

Me: Don't worry Elmirza, Trevelian is an excellent rider. He'll just get a bit angry that's all.

Tanner: Um, Trev angry might not be one of those "don't worry" things author... Can we wait til we know whose side he's on?

Me: Oh no. Not again.

Davien: *is temporarily immobilized by the pain, drops sword* *grunts* Boy? How old do you *grunt* think I am? *knees Terminus hard (really hard) in the stomach and at the same time pries away his gripping fingers* *screams when his arm pulls loose* *backs away, kicking the sword away with him* *picks it up with his left hand*

Me: If that is impossible, let me know and we can rewind.

Me: *thinks* Oh, yeah, that's possible. He just has a really high resilience for pain.

Emuna: Don't most characters in the CI have a high pain resiliency?

Me: True...

Terminus: *grunts and doubles back a little bit* I don't know...twenty...twenty five?

Me: @Leandra: Cuoash is helping Tynx, but not directly fighting Fallen.

Cuoash: *Puts her hands on Tynx's shoulders* This may feel a little cold. But stay with me here. And close your eyes. *Slowly Tynx's skin turns a lightish blue, then white and Tynx is immobilized. The white is a layer of ice, and it is under the shadow because it came from his sweat pores. Cuoash wraps her arm around Tynx's waist, and then suddenly the ice explodes outwards and she pulls back with all her might, falling backwards to the ground from the sudden release of force before the shadow can close in.*

Merashath: *growls and turns about, showering the two with flames*

Cuoash: No! *Dives over Tynx and creates another Ice-dome with a sweep of her arm*

Me: That's all I got time for, folks!

Me: Yes, he does. And Terminus, your guess is about ten years behind.

Davien: *keeps backing away, to give himself some time. Carefully places his right arm across his chest, in an effort to stabilize it* *holding his sword a bit awkwardly in his left hand, he rushes back in, aiming the tip of his sword at Terminus's face*

Me: It doesn't look like both arm bones are broken, so his arm isn't completely flopping around, but I imagine it hurts like crazy.

Me: But he is not a man, he's Kundinoua

Griffin: (When Beduun attempts to hook his legs, Griffin throws himself out from underneath backwards, unhooking his legs in the process)

Can you describe the difference?

That isn't exactly possible... in his previous action he opened himself up for Beduuin to do that, Beduuin responded in real time, and he can't do two things at once. At least not go in two directions.

Beduuin flattens himself against Griffin, using his hands to anchor himself to him.

Me: I think Terminus was aiming to make him pass out from the pain or something...I don't know...Terminus has no battle strategies.

Emuna: You're telling me...

Terminus: *throws two orbs at Davien, one at his arm and one at his sword*

Davien: *manages to step aside from one, then turns his sword upright and blocks the other.* *swings at Terminus's neck in a short, stabbing motion*

Me: Well, I might have passed out, but I think Davien is strong enough to stand it. He was temporarily immobilized and dropped his sword, though, remember?

Me: Yeah, that's believable. Admittedly, Brian wouldn't have passed out either.

Gavin: What about me?

Me: You would have passed out.

Gavin: Humph! *crosses arms*

Terminus: *dodges swing, but gets nicked slightly, gets a cut on his neck* *glares at Davien* *sends three orbs, all towards his broken arm*

Me: *thinks I'm going to let Terminus loose for character development* *wonders how to let him loose without killing him*

Me - I really should go back to the beginning of this thread, and copy all of Sir Emeth's duel instructions . . .

Thysal - (Lands, and limps over to Jay) What were you thinking? Are you alright? Are you hurt? Is anything broken? Speak to me!

Silver - (Gliding around the water, watching Ember) He's gonna get himself killed!
