Alexis: *puts her arm around Emuna*

Me: *whacks Brian with book*

Brian: *yells in pain* Bethany!

Me: Oh, right, sorry, forgot. Ehem...anyways, shush! Is developing.

Brian: *rubs shoulder* Mm-hmm...ow.

Alexis: *strokes Emuna's hair* Go ahead and cry. It will only make you feel worse if you bottle up all your emotion inside. The strongest warrior is the one that is not afraid to admit weakness.

Brian: *still rubbing shoulder* I would be inclined to disagree with tha-

Me: *raises book*

Brian: *winces* You are mean, you know that?

Me: Yup! Just ask my sister!

Emuna: *smiles faintly* I can cry later...I think our main problem would be the villains rebelling right now...wouldn't you?

Alexis: If you are sure you can go on. Emotion clouds the mind, you know.

Me: Yes, it does. Which makes it all the better character development!

Brian: *glares at me*

Emuna: Mm-hmm...I'll be fine. I think my author is just playing with the phobias she decided to give me.

Emuna: Hmm...don't think careful does much of a help in this scenario. *stands up* But I shall try. *looks at Jay* And...I think he could use some help...

Gavin: Ha! So you have no defense!

Me: Whatever...I'm going to go develop another character! *whacks Gavin with book*

Ark: *starts glowing*

Me: I'm pretty sure Merashath can't be killed, just so you know.

Ark: *shrugs* All the more reason for me to be the one to keep him occupied. Dai, you should stay away. Go help some of the others.

Dai: *looks around to see who needs the most help*

Merashath: *Dive bombs Ark, sending down flaming darts as he approaches*

Me: Where is Trina? I forget...

Trina: I think I'm sitting near Jay and Pirzak...with my right arm DISLOCATED!!!

Me: Oh, right then.

Trina: *with her left arm, she thrusts with her sword upward, and uses the momentum to help her stand up*

Cuoash: *feels useless sitting on a rock, but knows there is nothing she can do. She leans over and buries her face in her hands again*

Me: That's it, I think... Rinifer and Elanhil are waiting on the opponent...

Ark: *dodges to the side, away from the flaming bolts, and sends another beam of light at Merashath's head*

Me: How wide are these beams of light, and what is there to them? Are they just light, or powerful like a laser?

Merashath: *swoops widely to the left and comes in again, barely skimming the ground, and tackles Ark.*

Me: Good question. I think they're no bigger around than a fist, and they're more like a laser.

Ark: *his skin starts to turn red-hot* *punches Merashath in the neck*

Merashath: Ah! Heat... *Tackles Ark, clawing at his arms*

Tesmir: [Thrusts at Rune's chest, keeping him distracted]

Rune: [Blocks and slahses, making Tesmir back off]

Meriak: [Screeches in anger] You will learn to fear a Meriak. We are a mighty race, one to be feared always!

Me: Oi.

Mordir: [Follows Trina, blocking her path] You're not going anywhere yet. [Slices at her waist]

Zurik: I apologize to exploding like that, then. [Turns to Rinifer and lunges viciously]

Cassie: [Hides behind Hetsila]

Tounon: [Expression hardens and slams his blade down after sliding around to Elanhil's side, then cuts at his lower left leg]

Tynx: WAH!!! [Starts running, forgets that Niarah called to him, and bolts off] What'd I do?!

Suragore: [ROars and meets Silver's wing with his tail, then snaps at Silver's wing]

Rowen: A Suragore's poison takes affect quickly. It can only be cured by flower's blood. We have some here, but it's no comfortable thing to flush out the venom

Seymour: [Slashes at Mereshath's wing] You seem to have a curious talent to draw many people wherever you attack only one. Gavin! [Looks sharply at the boy] Tighten your grip on that sword of yours and stop behaving like a useless lump. You have enough spirit and fiery will in you to make any opponent hesitate in attacking you. Help defend your friends!

Chayn: [Snaps to attention] What? Oh- [Spirals downward]

Me: [Blows her back up] Wait. Just wait and see how it goes.

Chayn: [Snarls] I can't leave them down there!

Me: For now you can. You'll have your chance. You and Shawn barely got out of the last fight alive. Just wait up there.

[Vines with blossoming star-gazer lilies spring from the ground, whipping at any nearby villains]

Mordir: No! That's not good! Kai, Cat-Dragon, take out Jek! He can't be allow to grow anymore vines!

Jek: [Eyes flash, his expression is one of concentration] Watch me, villain.

Ark: *grunts in pain and twists out of Merashath's grasp* *aims more light at Merashath's eyes*



Fallen: *creates a shroud of thick darkness around Tynx*

Me: It was Tynx Mordir told her to attack, right?

Gavin: *looks from Seymour to Brian and Emuna* Okay, two things wrong with that paragraph. One, I can't fight off the villains even if I tried and two...they look fine to me.

Me: Lazy...

Brian: *takes deep breath* You're tell me. *forces self to stand up without using hurt shoulder* I have to deal with him for five books.

Me: six...possibly four.

Brian: You need to decide on that... *walks over to Emuna, slowly* Hey...

Emuna: You should be sitting down... *Throws bow and empty quiver on the ground*

Brian: That could be a problem...

Alexis: *runs over* *rapier at Pirzak's chest* Leave off. Or I will run you through!

Me:

Brian: Perhaps we should sit out for this one-

Emuna: Yah, right. *creates large purple orb and throws it at Pirzak*

Brian: You sure you should be doing that?

Emuna: If I'm going to use up all my strength I'm going to take a villain down with me.

Me: Hey...I like that... *writes down in notebook*

Emuna: *glares* Great.

Emuna: Brian.

Brian: No, you are not getting in that, I forbid you!

Emuna: Hey! Somebody has to help him!

Brian: I'll help him then!

Emuna: *scoffs* In your state? Brian, you wouldn't be helpful to a squirrel and you know that.

Brian: Well, I'm still not letting you go!

Emuna: We can argue, or you can watch my back.

Brian: Emuna, you're not going!

Emuna: Yes! I am! *hands glow purple*

Brian: *sigh* Fine... *hands Emuna dagger*

Me: Just to be sure...what is Pirzak exactly?

Emuna: *runs up behind Pirzak and stabs his back*

Me: haha...wow...similar to what Devon did not 100 pages ago. Anyways, carry on.

Alexis: *screams as Raczr grabs her*

Me: Is that directed at Alexis or Shawn?

Emuna: *levitates knife out of Pirzak's hands* *throws it a few feet away*

Me: Yah, I forgot about that power...

Emuna: Otherwise you would've used it when I was falling?

Me: No, because you still can't fly...

Emuna: I think that I should be able to.

Me: I think I get to decide the limits of your powers

Emuna: *scowls*

Me: Well, if it was directed at Alexis, she's "safe" now. Thanks, Emuna

Alexis: *goes to pick up sword*

Me: Oh. OK *rewinds*

Alexis: *small whimper that's supposed to be quiet, but ends up loud* *bites lip*

Me: I suppose he could...but if Emuna focuses hard enough she could actually pry his hands open...

Emuna: Wait?....everything was just redone? Ugh! Fine! Be that way! *kicks Raczr in the back* Hello, dumb animal!

Brian: Emuna!

Emuna: What?! You got a better distraction?!

Brian: Yes! And his name is Gavin!

Emuna: Oh...well...too late for that plan.

Alexis: *winces as Emuna's kick causes Raczr's body to lurch forward a little bit*

Kaida: *swings blade above her head and around her back lightly* As you may gather, I've never been one for learning by the book, or for fearing the traditional for that matter. *twists her dagger around a few times before jump-kicking Meriak in the chest and slashing at her ribs*

Aren: She has fit her usual point in a battle where she's analyzed enough to feel comfortable...

Me: Yeah, but what's with the learning bit... That's not really her style.

Aren: Well, she did add 'by the book' so I think we can let that one past.

Tanner: *dives at Rune and uses both hands to push pressure points at the base of his neck*

Tynx: Wah! [Skids to a halt] Well, this isn't good... [Ears twitch, then his whole body begins to glow, and his body grows taller]

Mordir: Aye, I did say Tynx. [To Pirzak] Not a problem. Just put Jay out of commission quick. There's no telling when Thysal or even Chayn will break loose. [To Fallen] Careful with that one.

Tynx: [Has almost finished shapeshifting] Oh honestly, you humans take so long to grow!

Seymour: Yes you can, Gavin. You mustn't doubt yourself. Doubt only makes you feel weaker than what you are.

Me: Fortune cookie.

Chayn: I'm sorry, Shawn. We'll go down as soon as we can.

Meriak: [Screams and dive-bombs Kaida, wincing as the dagger strikes her] You will die, human. [Tries to bite again]

Me: She really needs other abilities...

Rune: [Starts to turn, but can't turn fast enough. He falls to the ground, unconscious]

Tesmir: [Emits a startled squeak] Didn't expect that one. Good job, Tanner.

Gavin: I'm not doubting myself! I'm doubting my normal human abilities against characters with above normal abilities!

Emuna: Mm-hmm... *creates another glowing orb and throws it at Mordir*

Me: Are you just throwing those at everyone now?

Emuna: Pretty much.

Me: *shakes head* You don't even know what you just got yourself into, do you?

Emuna: Not really.

Me: *sigh* Nice...

Tanner: *checks Rune's pulse* Okay, he's fine but I must have hit the wrong pressure point because that was only supposed to hurt...

Pernoxnix: That's the next point up, Tahn.

Tanner: Oops, gonna have to study that a bit more...

Me: After some web research, my neck is really sore...

Kaida: *drops and rolls aside* So many have said, and yet... *jumps up and aims a blow at Meriak's knees*

Me: Wow, even with all her blood loss-

Kaida: Could you two please stop commentating my battles?!

Aren: *whispers to Rin* You don't make it easy letting go of the reins on my first ward.

Me: Don't look at me, I feel the same way.

Devon: I've been told to do something. *looks around* *notices Emuna* *twists one arm behind her* *holds her in a loose choke-hold with his other arm* Try throwing those orbs now.

Emuna: *lets out yelp*

Brian: *whispers* Emuna...

Emuna: *takes deep breath* *kicks Devon in his knee and twists her arm out of his grasp* *kicks his chest and slashes his arm with her dagger*

Brian: *lets out breath* Too close...

Devon: *reels back, clutching his arm* *eyes spark* You. Will. Pay.

Emuna: *scowls breathing heavily* Right. You going to go through with that revenge anytime soon? Or do you just throw that around?

Devon: *angry* *runs at Emuna* *ghostly hand grabs him*
Me: No you don't. No fights with girls that might turn into grappling.
Devon:

Emuna: *smiles* Aww...poor Devon...can't fight with girls.. *turns around and walks back to Brian*

Brian: You shouldn't taunt him...

Emuna: Why not?

Brian: Because...I mean...it's just.

Emuna: You should be the one to talk if I recall correctly-

Brian: I was trying to be distraction!

Emuna: Same thing.

Devon: *breathing quickly* *red face* Sometime, when she's not watching.....
Me: I am always watching. You wouldn't exist without me.
Devon:

Fallen: *the darkness around Tynx solidifies into something rather like a snake. It coils around his neck and starts to tighten*

Me:

Fallen: You did want my demon-gifted powers to be different than a Shadow Fae's.

Me: True.

Dai: (@Gavin) I know how you feel; I'm just a human myself. But that doesn't mean we can't change things and help protect our friends.

Gavin: I think they'll do a mighty fine job protecting themselves, Dai...just saying...

Brian: Yah, sure...

Dai: Well, if you won't help, I will. Brian and Emuna, how may I assist you?

Brian: (@Dai & Emuna) I think we should go after Mordir.

Emuna: Why?...

Brian: He seems to be the one leading this whole thing. If we defeat the leader we may be able to halt the rest of the villains while he is recovering or regenerating or whatever.

Emuna: Hmm...I hadn't thought of that.

Me: Me either...

Emuna: Yes you did! Otherwise he wouldn't have said it!

Me: Yah! But he said it way better than I thought it!

Emuna: Pardon our author...she is just a little bit crazy.

Me: Only sometimes!

Dai: Excellent idea. Can you still fight, Brian?

Brian: Yes, I think I have regained my strength to the point of succeeding in the ability to fight...whilst I doubt I will be using my powers full force anytime soon.

Me: The full extent of the toll that his powers take on him is undecided...

Emuna: Yes, because our author procrastinates in even the simplest of chores!

Me: Since when's making powers simple?!

Emuna: Since the internet!

Me: Good....point.

Dai: Let's go, then. *heads for Mordir*
