Zanya - (Drops off Chayn) I'm not one to stay airborne, thank you. I think I'll just resume my invisible identity as the cat-girl down there.

Thysal - @Jay; and speaking of trouble, what did you do to get everyone angry at you?

Me - I think the dragon battle started when Merashath laid claim to the skies . . . and Chayn and Thysal didn't like that . . .

Niarah - And it's all a mess.

Me - Albeit a fun one.

Derek: @Shawn-the-character: May I offer my assistance, my lady? My author noticed a few pages back you seemed to be threatened by these menacing villains. I wanted to dive in then and there but she insisted we finish catching up and I am now confused.

(Derek is riding Raedon in dragon form hunting trouble, for those who lost track.)

Lighting: *searches himself, thoroughly disconcerted to find himself completely disarmed.*

Me: Yeah. And it's going to stay that way.

Lightning: How am I supposed to do anything without weapons?

Me: You could try talking politely.

Lighting: The only manners these people seem to understand is violence.

Me: *feigned innocence* They look like they're having fun to me. Not violent at all.

Kaida: About time, how much do you have to insult someone's insecurity before they start a duel? *keeps knife to the ready and watches Nameless with an eager smile*

Erronys: *flies around the dueling dragons, rather confused about what is going on*

Malcolm: Yeah, this is why I wasn't battling much before...

Gavin: Wait...the dragons are still dueling?!

Brian: It would appear so..... *points to fighting dragons*

Emuna: If I was a dragon I'd join in.

Gavin: Why don't you join in now?...so we can get read of you before we're halfway through the book.

Emuna: *scowls*

Me: Gavin that wasn't nice!

Brian: He isn't known for his manners...

Emuna:No, he's known for his manners, just lack there of.

Gavin: I have manners! I just only have them for people I respect.

Emuna: So you don't respect me?

Gavin: No, I don't like you, which in turn keeps me from respecting you...duh.

Emuna: *tackles Gavin*

Me: I should've have thought it through before bringing all three of you in here...you're going to kill each other before the dragons are through dueling.

Brian: It's wrong of me to be enjoying this...

Merashath @Thysal: Mordir isn't in the rafters. He's on my back.

Elanhil: *turns his blade sideways and then pushes suddenly upwards. He loops the sword around and deals a blow to the hilt sharply downward.*

Merashath: We have three dragons to take care of, Mordir. This will be tough. *dive bombs Chayn, with a burst of hot fire aimed at the neck.*

Trina: Why am I here?

Me: Oh, you. Forgot about you. You can go now if you want.

Trina: *looks up at the battle high up, and proceeds to walk out the door.*

Kimun's grip doesn't slacken in the slightest, and he merely reengages the guard.

You aren't going to get him either by surprise or by strength.

Me: Rats. Looks like you have to go by pure skill, Elanhil.

Elanhil: *laughs quietly* Good, my favorite way. *Elanhil slashes horizontally towards Kimun's waist.*

Kimun leaps backwards, the tip of the blade passing by his belt, barely missing it.

Thysal - (freezes) Oops . . . Right. (Flies above Merashath, then swoops down and catches Mordir in her claws)

Niarah - Of your limited options, that was probably the worst . . .

Sylvia - Hi Emuna, Gavin, and Brian! I'm glad you could join us in here!

Ember - (squeaks in dismay as Sylvia walks away, then runs after her and climbs up her shoulder)

Me - I need to develop him as an adult . . .

Brian: Hello, Sylvia. It's a pleasure to meet you. *bows slightly*

Me: Gavin, Emuna! Say hi! It's rude to ignore people.

Emuna: Hello! *still on top of Gavin*

Gavin: Hello! Ow! Get her off me! She's pulling my hair!

Brian: *chuckles* Really, Gavin, I would've have suspected you to punch her by now...

Me: My characters are possibly too colorful....

Gavin: *pushes Emuna off and stands up*

Emuna: *punches Gavin*

Gavin: Ow! Will you?!...ugh!

Emuna: What?

Brian: This might not go so well...

Gavin: I'm gonna-

Me: You're not doing anything.... *makes Brian stand between them* Can you act mature for one post?

Brian: Why do I have to go between them?!

Me: Because you're the peace maker...and its not like I didn't equip you with epicly awesome fighting skills.

Brian: *grumbles* That I don't like to use....

Elanhil: *moves his second hand to grip the sword. He slices at Kimun, this time at about neck height.*

Me: Just to clarify, I'm envisioning the swords we are using to be similar shape and weight to the ones that the lords have in Dawn Treader...Are we in agreement?

Merashath: *Turns sharply upward and lets out a burst of flame, being careful not to hit Mordir. He then also places his claws on Mordir's shoulders, and gives a good yank.* MINE! This is my victi...erm, rider.

Similar to that, but more light and closer to rapiers. More flexible and wieldy. More efficient.

Kimun fends it off to the side and maintains a center guard.

Two handed grips limit mobility, a tip.

Seymour: You've made him rather mad, Aris.

Me: I know, that worries me...

Chayn: Back off! [Flies right up to meet the flames, but breathes poison straight ahead, making a sort of shield as she bursts through and heads for Merashath] If anyone's going down, the assassin goes first! He's the ringleader. I won't let him touch anyone's rider!!! [Tackles Merashath, claws outstretched and teeth bared]

Rowen: [Pacing with nervous alarm] She's lost it completely.

Mordir: [Winces as Thysal grabs him, and winces again when Merashath pulls him back] I'm not going down so easy! [Drives his sword up, around Thysal's shoulder]

Seymour: That's it. I can't stand watching down here. Tynx!

Tynx: [Stops flying in confused circles and looks down] What?

Seymour: Get down here so I can get up.

Tynx: I wouldn't do that, dude. Chayn's really mad. So's Mordir. You should stay down there if they start coming after all the characters who aren't flying.

Nameless: [Narrows his eyes to slits] As long as it takes to make them tremble and doubt themselves. Ladies first.

Me: I think I'm completely failing at making him sound scary. Oh yeah, I remember now, it did start with Thysal taking Jay up, then Chayn brought Shawn, then Merashath came up..... wow, that's come a long way.

Seymour: [Watching Brian, Emuna, and Gavin] Would I be of any help anywhere?

Mordir: [Looks at Chayn] She's so angry her better judgment may get tossed aside. If we can keep her angry, we might be able to put her down. Capturing Shawn would ensure a quick win over her. [Looks at Shawn] Oh, I will get you, little girl. Just you wait.

Me: I'm going to have a lot of talking to do with my characters when they've all recovered, aren't I?

Seymour: Probably.

Gavin & Emuna: *complaining to Seymour*

Brian: Can anybody understand what they're saying?

Me: No, but I'm glad I'm not in the middle of it.

Brian: *glares at me*

Me: ehem...I mean. Gavin and Emuna! Stop talking at the same time it's incoherent!

Emuna: *stops talking*. Gavin's the one that keeps interrupting me when I try to say-

Brian: *sigh* Why did you bring all three of us?

Me: Why would you have rather stayed in the cave were I'm about to have Terminus beat you up?

Me: Yeah, well... it was so far along I thought I'd be throwing a spanner in the works if I posted.

Derek: *scowls* No. We aren't. *resheathes sword and walks away*

Me: When I get around to it. *wanders out*

Niarah - Hi.

Me - *glares* Don't you two have better things to do?

Niarah - Zanya's laying low after her last duel, and I'm just meandering around and making snide comments.

Thysal - (Growls, then twists her body, whacking Merashath hard with her tail, then snaps at Mordir) Watch it with that sword!

Niarah - And that dragon isn't normally this . . . aggressive.

Rahor - Whose fault is that?

Me - Hey, you should pay attention to your duel!

Rahor - He hasn't moved!

Sylvia - And that is why Ember and I stay low key. Right Ember?

Ember - (growls in agreement)

Merashath: Suddenly drops downward, before Chayn has a chance to meet him, leaving Thysal and Mordir as the only thing to hit. He loops around, and comes up behind her, and lets out a long burst of fire. Elanhil: Yes, but they increase accuracy and control, as well as strength. *Elanhil repeats the stroke, this time from the other side.*

Me: Oh. Those are the kinds of swords Elanhil is used to, his world's technology hasn't gotten that far yet. But he is fine with these.

Gavin: I do not get laughed at!

Emuna: I don't know...I thought it was pretty funny when you froze in that cave *laughs*

Gavin: I will knock Brian unconscious to get over there!

Brian: No you will not!

Me: Haha....Maybe you guys should duel.

Brian: Bethany!

Gavin: Bring it on! Winner gets to beat up Emuna!

Emuna: I'm sorry, what?

Brian: And the loser?

Gavin: Losers don't get prizes! Duh!

Brian: *sigh*

Me: This should be interesting...

Brian: *scowls at me* You're a really mean author you know that?

Thysal - Sweet! (Flies out of Chayn's way) Right Jay, it's your call, what do we do with Mordir?

Zanya - Look, another duel! (goes over to Bethany's post and watches in interest) So Emuna, who do you think is going to win?

Niarah - (Decides to clarify everything) Pirzak and Raczr were threatening Thysal and Jay, but they're stuck on the ground. Merashath abandoned Mordir to said Thysal, and right now, Chayn's in a furious rage, and Merashath had better beware. I'm not sure what Kai's doing, but the Cat-Dragon was noble and left Shawn alone. Gavin and Brian are duelling each other, and is there anything else I've missed?

Ashrai - Talk about a run-on sentence.

Rahor - You've probably garbled some of the facts, but we'll let everyone else cover that.

Me: Wait, wait, wait.

Gavin & Brian: What?!

Me: I can't write a duel *makes their swords disappear* hand-to-hand....carry on.

Brian: *looks at empty hand* oh well thanks alo-

Gavin: *tackles Brian and punches him*

Brian: *kicks Gavin in stomach and pushes him off*

Emuna: *chuckles* If the loser's Gavin I would go with Shawn Hendersons' idea....

Elanhil: *Loops his sword around, and strikes upward from below, slightly to the right, and loops over Jay's head and cut's at his neck, from the opposite side that he would expect concerning his approach.*

Merashath: *dives down...down to the...the ceiling I guess...not sure how that works...and grabs Pirzak and Raczr, flinging Pirzak onto his back and holding Raczr in his claws. He swoops upward, and flying directly above Thysal gently sets Raczr on her back.* Get her to drop Mordir. I'll get him. *needs another bad dragon.* Can you send one in, Elanhil?

Me: You're the only dragon in Menbie.

Merashath:

Me: Anyways, Trina is coming back. She's less of your stereotype helpless girl now.

Lightning: So the spoiled prince gets to fly around rescuing damsels in distress while I sit here and do nothing?

Me: Do you want to rescue damsels in distress?

Lightning; No.

Me: than stop complaining.

Jarier: *pants* I finally made it in here. Why'd you have to make it so tedious to get out of my story again?

Me: make yourself comfortable.

Lightning: Who is that?

Me: Someone you're not going to like.

Lighting: Obviously. But why is he here?

Me: We're trying to find a reason for his existence.

Chayn: You do not understand what I feel! My rider has been threatened, and I will not stand by and let him get away with it!

Me: Hey, watch it. I'm getting enough attitude from Mr. Rebellious over there. I don't need it from you.

Mordir: [Thrusts as Thysal snaps at him] You watch it. I won't give in! Ever!!!

Tesmir: Lakkerfax, can we blow it up now? [Looks very eager]

Tynx: [Not sure what to do] Is it safe to help? [Looks at Chayn]

Seymour: [Looks a little overwhelmed] Alright, all three of you hush. We're going to try something. [Pulls out a small pouch and places it on a tree stump] OK, you three will need to work together to do this. In that pouch are six gold coins. If you three can work together, without arguing, you may have the coins. But you must not bicker. I will allow only one argument. But I suggest that you don't use it, because arguing will get you nowhere. You must think carefully, and consider the suggestion of the others. Now, begin .[Suddenly the top of the tree stump open up like a trapdoor, and the coins fall down into a pit several yard down]

Brian: Was Seymour referring to us when he said "three"?

Gavin: Don't know...but I want them coins... *looks at pit*

Emuna: Don't be greedy Gavin you don't know if those coins are yours...

Gavin: Sha! Leave if to you to say that...I doubt that necklace you're wearing is yours.

Emuna: Excuse me?!

Brian: Well if he was referring to us we shouldn't be Fight-

Emuna: *lunges at Gavin*

Brian: *catches Emuna* We shouldn't be fighting!

Cat-Dragon: I think someone just associated ME with the villains who were trying to hurt that little girl!!!

Kai: Calm down, Cat-Dragon.

Cat-Dragon: *snarls*

Kai: * sigh *

Cat-Dragon: *flies down to figure out what is happening*

Kai: *falls asleep*

Me: You? Fall asleep?

Kai: Me. Fall asleep. I'm tired, you've been tinkering with my history all day.

Me: True. But you're an assassin! Act like it!

Kai: *yawn*

Roel: Oh, ignore him. He's just doing it to annoy you..

Kai:

Roel: Point proven. Now what was Rahor doing..? Oh, right, stabbing at me. *Rahor just rips Roel's leggings and the latter lands unharmed. Instantly he turns around and starts slashing at Rahor with his brand new katana, which flashes magnificently in the sunlight*

Me: This is why I usually don't let you write the action...

Roel: Can't I be dramatic sometimes?

Me:

Rahor - (halts and whirls to face Roel) Nice katana, that's a fine weapon. Mind if we compare blades afterwards? (Slashes at Roel's head)

Niarah - Ever the gentleman. It gets on my nerves sometimes.

Me - Brothers and sisters do that. *nods knowingly*

Thysal - (moves her head away as Mordir thrusts his sword, and notices the weight of Raczr on her back) Jay, get him! (Clutches Mordir in all four claws as she puts distance between herself and Merashath)

Zanya - Get him, Emuna! Get him!

Sylvia - (glares at her) You're no help whatsoever.

Ashrai - (Watches the dragon battle, his ears pricked with interest) It would be fantastic to be up there.

Thysal - (twisting to reach Raczr) It is probably very overrated!

Malcolm: *To Thysal* Allow me. *Bites at Raczr*

Erronys: *Swoops down next to Ashrai and motions to get on*

Kaida: Not without me buddy! *climbs up Erronys' back*

Tanner: What about your fight with Nameless?

Kaida: He seems quite content to merely be insulted, besides I missed my monthly hunt, I need to see some action!

Aren: Stian, keep an eye on her.

Stian: *shrieks and bolts into the sky*

Kimun catches the blade as it goes over and continues its loop, pressing just enough to make it pass in front of him without making contact, and then twisting it violently.

A disarming strategy.

Nameless: Excuse me?! I gave you the first move!

Me: Chill, Nameless. SHe'd probably be able to beat you anyways.

Tesmir: That would be embarrassing. Getting beaten by a girl.

Tounon: Fire? What else would we blow it up with?

Seymour: [Looks calmly at Brian, Gavin, and Emuna] I was referring to you three, yes. Because of that confusion, I will allow this fight to pass without your using your one chance for arguing. You three have to work together. [Smiles at Skooter] Gold coins, little one. Here. [Tosses Skooter a coin]

Me: What are you, an indulgent grandparent?

Mordir: [Tries to twist out of Thysal's grip] A little help?!

Chayn: Thysal, you can breathe fire! torch him!

Rowen: She's completely lost it.

Tynx: Where can I help?

Mordir: [To Pirzak and Merashath only] Merashath, drop Pirzak onto Chayn's back and grab Shawn! Merashath, be ready to catch them both and fly away as soon as Pirzak has the girl!

Rune: That assassin is going to get himself killed.

Me: Probably, but I don't think he cares anymore...

Orrun: What's it like to be up there I wonder?

Tesmir: Windy, cold, with random moments of heat, dangerous sword fights, really angry dragons-

Orrun: I'm not blind, you know. I can see that.

Cory: [Stands up] Well, I'll be going. Ya'll let me know how the dragon war and the rebellion goes.

Me: Miss you!

Cory: Of course you will. But then again, you've completely forgotten about me.

Me The dragon war and this rebellion take a lot of focus.

Cory: Sure.

Tesmir: [Has a brilliant idea] Kimun, could Tounon and I try dueling you?

Me: You know that's not fair.

Tesmir: You sure? Kimun's taken down a lot of really skilled people! Even Seymour!

Me: Yeah, but he seems to be kept on his toes with Elanhil-

Tounon: Elanhil's the swordmaster in his world, that's why.

Rune: He defeated Cory. And Cory's better than you.

Tesmir: Thanks, Rune. But come on! If I'm as bad as you and the rest of the family says, I'd be out quickly.

Orrun: But there's Tounon.

Me: No arguing. It's making this post long. No one on my side duels Kimun if someone else wants a turn. So you boys just stick with blowing yourselves up.

Lakkerfax: No, what will be the subject of our explosion. We could wreak some havoc in the dragon war if it's big enough.

Kaida: Telling me to go first is not a first move, it's a surrender.

Skooter: *tackles coin*

Me: He likes shiny things. Sorry about the would be duel. Kaida is rather impatient.

Kaida: *arches eyebrows* I have mixed passions, but let's not forget where you got me from.

Thysal - Thanks, Malcolm. See if you can knock him off! (Shifts so that Raczr is unbalanced) I can't blow fire, Chayn! I can't even roar, for crying out loud! (snarls at Mordir) Watch it, or you might find yourself in two halves like Kai.

Niarah - Notice he put himself back together.

Thysal - I DON'T CARE!

Niarah - *shrugs* Touche.

Ashrai - (Climbs on Erronys) Thank you, friend. Who's side are you on?

Erronys: *nods to Thysal and Malcolm and launches into the air*

Malcolm: *snorts fire out of one nostril at Mordir then turns and pushes Raczr onto his nose and moves away from Thysal* Ready for a ride? *nose dives*

Kaida: Alright, who are we after first buddy? *climbs between Erronys' horns and draws her knife*

Elanhil: *Sees what Kimun is doing, and is prepared to move his sword in a similar motion as Kimun twists it. He loops his hilt around in a wide circle, and then twists his own blade in the opposite direction, in an attempt to counter the move.*

Merashath: *Flies above Chayn, and drops Pirzak, picking up Shawn at the same instant, in an attempt to shadow the weight change as a shift in position to Chayn. He flies down low to the ground, keeping a wary eye up on his comrades on the enemy dragons.*

Trina: That poor girl! I wish I could fly.

Merashath: Watch it, or you'll be the victim as well.

Trina: *shakes fist at him.* Then do something about it, 'cause I'm not watching it.

Kimun's arm wrenches violently as every muscle strains to maintain hold of his blade as he leaps back, disengaging just in time.

Very very close. Good job. If he wasn't so strong he would have lost it there.

Thysal - You realize that this is suicidal right? Right, hang on! (Swoops towards Merashath, slamming into him) Grab her, Jay! (Swings her tail and whacks Merashath, leaving Raczr sprawled on Merashath's face)

Me - Hmm, there's really nothing else I can do in here . . .

Stian: *swoops at Pirzak and nips at his arms with his sharp beak*

Erronys: *follows Stian and tackles Merashath*

Kaida: *swings over to Merashath and wraps her legs tightly around his neck for stability* HUHAAHHH! *stabs between Merashath's shoulder blades multiple times as hard as she can*

Chayn:[Looks at Thysal] What d'you you can't breathe fire?! Isn't that what dragons do?!

Me: Um, you can't breathe fire.

Chayn: I can breathe something. [Spin around, roaring in anger] Shawn!

Mordir: [Tries to swing himself back, but gets singed] Ugh, this isn't working! [Stabs Thysal's belly] Merashath, Pirzak, get out of here! Don't let them get the girl!

Nameless: [Is fuming.] You, author. Get me up there!

Me: You, character. No.

Nameless: Why not?

Me: Because I said so. I have no more evil dragons. And....

Rune: Oh, she's gotten an idea.

Tesmir: I think mine was ignored. [Turns to Lakkerfax] Brilliant! Where would be a good place to do it?

Tounon: There's still the problem of what to light it with.

Tesmir: We can shoot it!

Me: Huh?!

Tesmir: WHo has a gun?

Me: Tesmir!

Tesmir: What? I'm not seeing you coming up with great ideas.

Me: I'm trying to keep my dragon from having a mental break down and becoming an angry, poison-breathing wreck.

[Some sort of winged human darts toward the dragons, then darts away.]

Seymour: What are you doing?!

Me: Um.... maybe giving the rebellion side a hand?

Tynx: Are you crazy?! You've already got a villain who hates you, why one more?

Me: It'll be fine. The Meriak knows who to help.

Seymour: You say that now...

Meriak: [Flies around Thysal's head like an annoying fly]

Nameless: What! And you won't let me go up there?! My enemy is up there hiding from our duel!
