Tynx: Ow! [Slams tail into Merashath's side.]

Chase: [Jumps back, then forward, swatting aside Elanhil's blade and slashing at his neck.]

Me: Getting a little violent, are we?

Chase: Not really.

Mordir: [Watches the duels, but keeps an eye on his own opponent.]

Aris: What is this 'chat room'?

Mordir: Someplace you don't want to be.

Aris: Are you only saying that because your welcome there hasn't been the best?

Me: He somehow manages to get himself into fights... somehow.

Mordir: And, who's fault would that be?

Aris: He has a point.

Mordir: No one asked you.

Aris: I don't care. You should be grateful I'm actually agreeing with you for once.

Mordir: You're only agreeing because it's the truth, not because you want to.

Aris: So what? Ooh, can we go to the chat room now?

Mordir: WE?

Aris: Yeah. You and me.

Seymour: I don't think the otehrs would want to watch you both tear at each other's necks.

Mordir: They'd all side with her anyway.

Aris: Spoilsport.

Mordir: [Sticks tongue out.]

Me: Real mature, Mordir. Real mature.

Stellwento: They're ignoring our storm up here.

Fulgar: *zaps the air duel*

Stellwento: That was shocking. *smirks* They look mad let's evasive maneuver.

Merashath: I'm not. I enjoy it. And I'm used to it.

Me: He is.

Elanhil: *ducks the slash, and uses the momentum from Chase's swatting his sword away to pull the motion into a thrust*

Thysal - Ughhh . . . (drifts lower in the sky) *mutters* Monster villain. (Suddenly whirls around to face Chayn, whacking her on the head with her tail) We're good, Jay, just hang on!

Rahor - (Draws his own katana) I'm glad you think so, Roel. It will be a pleasure duelling you, I can tell. Your move first.

Me - I think the problem with us not attacking first is that we don't know how . . .

Niarah - Speak for yourself.

Ember - (wrinkles his nose at the electricity in the air. Stares at Fulgar)

Sylvia - He's disbelieving.

Akira - For a voiceless dragon, he says a lot.

Silver - No he doesn't! (goes over to Fulgar) So how'd you do that, anyway?

Fulgar: It's what I was born to do. Electro-static charge manipulation. I don't know how but I'm the tingle down everyone's spine.

Lumevita: And he's quite proud of that fact...

Rinifer: *glances over at Kay* Yup. He's definitely a piece of burnt toast left in the oven in a burning house.

Trina: *hits him discreetly*

Rinifer: what??

Trina: *whisperes* That's not what a man needs to hear in the moments before he dies.

Me: You're one to talk.

Kai: *ducks and lets the shuriken embed its self in a nearby wall* Told ya.

Me: *sigh*

Kai: Thank you for your encouragement, Jay and Rinifier. *glares* You two are next.

Roel: No, Rahor. You first. 'Tis only polite.

Me: Since when were you polite?

Roel: That's beside the point.

Kai: I don't think it is. * grunts as he jumps into the ceiling and walks along the beams until he is on one out of Kimun's reach*

Roel: *stares up at Kai* I do, and that's all that matters.

Kai: Nope, because I'm your commanding officer.

Roel: Not exactly. And not right now in the story.

Kai: No, right now you're at my mercy.

Roel: Wrong! You're tied up and at MY mercy.

Kai: Would you like me to come down there and deal with this the assassin's way?

Roel: Sure!

Me: Hey! Cool down, k? This is no big deal. But it will be, if you start fighting each other and Kimun and Rahor kill you both.

Kai and Roel: Oh.

Me: I hate it when my characters argue...

Kai: Too bad, I love to argue.

Me: *sigh*

Rinifer: *bows* You're welcome. *smiles as Trina hits him, more obvious this time.*

Trina: You're mean.

Merashath: *chases after Tynx.*

"We are in a building? A mistake." Kimun rockets upwards, turning a slow somersault in the air as he interposes a beam between him and Kai during his rise. He lands on a rafter near Kai, within reach, but does not linger. The blade whips through the air almost invisibly, cutting through Kai's sword arm cleanly; while Kimun executes another flight, sliding laterally, spinning to place his feet firmly on the ceiling. He hangs directly behind Kai, his blade striking violently in the small of his back, driving up through, cleaving his head in half.

Kimun cannot fly like Superman, out in the open, far above the fields, free as a bird. But when he has surfaces near him to work off of, like in a building (or a cave, like where he was trained), he is pretty close.

And remember, characters don't die here. They come back.

Niarah -

Me - Wow.

Niarah - That was short. Shorter than I expected.

Zanya - I don't think I'm ambitious enough to challenge him.

Silver - That's a first.

Zanya - Hey, you aren't the sarcastic one.

Silver - He left, remember?

Rahor - Very well, then. (Lunges forward, swinging his katana at Roel's neck)

Me - By the way, is Roel a phantom like Kai?

Thysal - (puts distance between herself and Chayn)

Me: They really don't. But it's nice to see that they aren't ripping each other open.

Aris: Not yet, anyway.

Mordir: I won't be the one starting it, so I won't be the one getting yelled at.

Me: That whole affair in the chat room was your fault, young man.

Mordir: Mordir: But Kai-

Me: But Kai nothing. Kai has nothing to do with it. He's already in his own trouble, keep the poor man out of yours.

Tynx: I haven't ignored the storm. Nothing too extreme has happened that I need to seriously take notice of, is all. [Flies away, spiraling upwards.] See if you can find me!

Chayn: [Grunts in pain. Snarls and then whirls about, returning the favor, continues turning, and claws at Thysal's eyes.] We should probably pause a moment to be sure our riders are still mounted.

Tynx: You first.

Werynn: [Watches Kimun and Kai] It's amazing. They all know that this Kimun is their superior by far, and they don't really have a fraction of a chance in beating him, yet they still try.

Mordir: It's called having fun. You should try it.

Chase: [Uses his speed in the swatting to turn completely around, stepping backward just a little to avoid getting hit, but his back a little to his left gets hit. As he turns, he ducks and runs his blade across Elanhil's ankles.]

Mordir: I think you get better when you get desperate.

Me: Im' not desperate.

Mordir: Liar.

Seymour: He's right.

Me: You're all siding with the villain here, people! What's up with that?!

Me: Wow, didn't expect so quick a defeat...

Elanhil: *As he is coming out of his squated position he changes it to a jump. He chops downward at Chase.*

Hadwin: That boy will get chopped to pieces and still not give up...

Trina: *nervously* Be careful, Elanhil.

Elanhil: Aw, come on, sis. Ever known me to do anything stupid?

Hadwin, Trina and Me: YES.

Merashath: *spirals up, and keeps close tabs on Tynx. He bites Tynxes tail so as not to loose him.*

Me: [Hears Elanhil (the author) and the others deny Elanhil's (character) never doing anything stupid.] Haha! Sorry, that wasn't funny.

Mordir: Real subtle there, Aris.

Chase: [Drops onto his back and brings his blade up, holding the flat of it in his free palm as Elanhil's blade comes down]

Seymour: [Looks at Hadwin.] I have a feeling you're right. Maybe in part because his author wants to win, too?

Me: ......Maybe....

Mordir:

Me: Are you done?

Mordir: When you are.

Chayn: [Lifts tail, but bops Jay on the head gently.] Only because I don't want to face Amanda's wrath if I smoosh you.

Tynx: Why you little! [Suddenly stops flying so he falls back on Merashath, digging in firmly.] A little help, Iri?!

Me - Mordir, you are hilarious.

Thysal - (Shakes free of Chayn and snarls) Hey! (Bites at Chayn's wing, then pushes her away, once again whacking her with her tail as she whirls away. Flies to a safe distance) Are you still on, Jay? I hope Malcolm or Blaze side with us, Tynx and I are getting really torn up.

Niarah - Wow, Thysal requests help, I've never seen that before!

Me - My characters are eating a lot of humble pie lately.

Zanya - *growls*

Me: What did you just do?? *rematerializes Kai on the ground*

Kai: That was NOT FAIR!

Me: Uh, actually, I kinda agree... I didn't know we were allowed to chop people up into little bits.

Kai: This is not over! *stabs Kimun with a bo-shuriken*

Roel: Stop stealing my bo-shurikens, Kai...

Kai: Sorry, they work better for immediate death than regular shuriken.

Roel: ... Alright, getting to other business! No, I'm not a Phantom. Well, I'm 1/8 or 1/16 or something like that, but I didn't even get a weird hair color, let alone powers.

Me: Aren't you going to block his attack?

Roel: Attack? *looks* Gah!!! *swings katana up hurriedly and just barely blocks Rahor's attack. His sword glances off hidden shoulder armour. Breathing hard, he takes a step back and watches Rahor very carefully.*

Me: Where did you get armor? You didn't have that this morning.

Roel: I was digging around, found a spare set in one of your half-finished stories. It's just some plate mail, arm guards, and a chain shirt.

Me: *sigh* I need to lock these guys up when I'm not around...

My apologies, a miscommunication. When I do an action, I have a hard time doing it in pieces: it is one motion, not several little ones. So what I do is describe the whole intended action, and have the other person rewind it to where they would have blocked or avoided it, and then we continue on from there.

And Kimun is starting to get a bit out of hand, too. Methinks this is going to his head.

So where do you want to rewind to?

Me: So Chase is on his back?

Elanhil: *Brings his sword down on Chase's, and then pivots it like a lever using Chase's as the fulcrum, until it is angled at his neck, and he thrusts.*

Me: Don't...kill him...

Elanhil: He can come back to life, I just need to be wary of Griffin, wherever he is...

Merashath: *grunts when Tynx hits him, but holds him tight in a ball and the two begin to fall.*

Hadwin: *laughs, watching Kimun and Kai.* thought so...

Kai: Kimun is most certainly getting out of hand!

Me: Uh-huh. And you weren't?

Kai: Nope. *bo-shuriken disappears* See? Completely under control.

Me: Right. @ Emeth - Alright, thanks for explaining. We can just rewind to where you're aiming a stroke at Kai's arm.

Kai: Wait, we're still doing this??

Me: Yep.

Roel: I though you liked duels.

Kai: Yah, but I have this very odd headache... not to mention my arm hurts too.

Me: Sorry, that's from me putting you back together. Don't worry, with practice I'll soon be able to do it so you won't even feel pain.

Kai: Wait, you want us to get chopped up so you can put as back together?

Me: Not exactly what I meant...

Sounds good, how does he react?

He blocks but gets pushed off his beam.

Kai: AHHHHHHHH! *thud*

Me: You're a ninja, start acting like it!

Kai: Oh. *falls off but rolls when he hits the ground and quickly stands up, unharmed* Better?

Me: Sure, now attack him.

Kai: k. *throws a shuriken upwards at Kimun [I think that's possible?] and darts away to the other side of the room in case it falls down on his head*

Blocks... how?

I think he blocked the arm not the sword. Just guessing...

The arm is out of reach, though.

haha, I think it was supposed to be one of those unnoticed things that slips through the cracks.

I am officially lost...

Maybe you guys could start the duel over? It's a fresh beginning, and now that you know what you're doing you can keep tabs on it better.

Simple: Kimun struck at Kai's arm, and you said he blocked it. I am trying to figure out how he did that.

Fulgar: This is getting rather dull. What say we drop it and wait for a group that will be more on edge?

Me:

Stellwento: *stops wind and swoops down to the ground*

Pernoxnix: You could blow the clouds away so the rain stops.

Umectra: I've got it. Cover your heads. *Condenses clouds into water that falls all at once*

Erronys: *shakes water off of his head and wanders to the river for a drink*

Tanner: Well it melted most of the snow...

Melany: I hope spring comes soon.

Lumevita: The same goes for me.

He blocked it upwards (or would the term for that be parried..? ) with his katana, but only barely, hence his losing his balance and falling.

Kai: Really, the rafters are not a good place to duel.

Me: Be quiet while we figure this out.

Kai:

The phantom blade passed through his katana, and so as he fell, he got hit. Probably on a leg though, since he didn't exactly fall that neatly. You pick.

Fulgar: I would but Batman *nods to Merashath* wouldn't care. It's no fun if it's not mutually disagreeable.

Me: That's lizard logic for ya.

Umectra: I don't respect that.

Ooops, forgot about the phantom blade.

Kai:

Me: Quit it, or I'll let him kill you.

Kai:

*Kai, with a deep gash in his leg, glares up at Kimun and once more attempts to hit him with shuriken*

* smiles *

The shuriken flies around Kimun and spins towards Kai. Just before it hits him, it slides to the side, dips down, and goes back again. Right behind it Kimun flies down, spinning laterally, his cloak flying in the air, masking his motions. Right before he comes within blade reach of Kai, he darts to the opposite side of the shuriken and drives his blade downwards.

Me: From now on, I'm ditching the italics, except for Chayn's speech.

Chayn: [Smacks her wing into Thysal's head, roaring angrily as Thysal hits her in the head. Then flies after her.] Just be at the ready to stab when you have a good opening!

Mordir: [Nods with a smile at Ciela.] I try.

Me:

Chase: Oh shoot. [Pushes up and above his head, so Hopefully Elanhil's sword will drive just above, then kicks at Elanhil's middle.]

Me: I realized I should've added a counter to that last move. O.o

Chase: Probably.

Tynx: Free fall! [Snaps at Merashath's wings.] Iri, get his neck!

Chayn: [Lets the downpour wash over her body, especially over her wounds.]

Me: Wow, I just realized I'm still using italics.

Seymour: [Doesn't expect the downpour, and very nearly jumps out of his skin when it falls.]

Mordir: Oh, come on!

Chayn: [Roars in amusement and continues her pursuit of Thysal.]

Me: I hope spring comes soon too.

Me: Ooh, I have an idea! How about all of us choose one character to go up against Kimun?

Mordir: Oh, come on, Aris. That's hardly fair. The poor man's been dueling practically ever since he got here.

Cory: As fun as that would be, I'm probably gonna have to agree with him.

Me: Three of you now?! Seriously?! What is this, 'Agree with the villain' day?!

Aris: Does she usually get this irritated?

Mordir: Only when I've said or done something stupid.

Thysal - This is getting ridiculous. Jay, are you armed? Try to knock her rider off! Oh wait . . . (Spins around and charges at Chayn, colliding bodily with her. Begins clawing at Chayn's wings) Give it up!

Zanya - And she's the one losing?

Niarah - She has a competitive complex.

Rahor - (Twirls his katana as he watches Roel) Your move.

Ember - (snorts and shakes off the water)

Sylvia - I thought you were an ice gecko, Umectra? Not water.

Ember - *sneezes*

Silver - It's all the same when you think about it. Hey Umectra, you think you can flood this place?

Akira - That would be amazing.

Umectra: Ice, water, same thing. It's similar to Gar's electron charge manipulation. I work with state changes of water so I can freeze it, thaw it, or evaporate it whenever I want.

Chayn: You first! [Roars in pains as Thysal's clawing creates a large gash in her right wing.] [Snarls and furls her wings to protect them, then snaps at Thysal's shoulder.] Get, Jay, Shawn!

Me: I'm imagining Chayn with Sapphira's voice.... it's awesome.

Thysal - Get her, Jay! (Slams her head into Chayn's jaw, and continues clawing at her) We're gonna win!

Niarah - Or die trying.

Thysal - I'd rather you didn't add that . . .

Merashath: *Bites Tynx again. They are about halfway down to the ground.*

Elanhil: *His crossguard hits the blade and his sword stops short of Chase. He jumps up and sideways to avoid Chase's kick. He is now on his left side. He brings his blade down in a chop on Chase's neck.*

Trina: There was snow on the ground?

Hadwin: Only in this place could people have different ideas about what it's like. Kimun and Kai are fighting in the rafters while these dragons etc. are fighting in the sky.

Chayn: [Meets Thysal's head with her own] Over my dead body if you are!

Cory: She does realize that this is a life or death situation, right?

Seymour: I have a feeling that dragons may tend to exaggerate a little. At least ours.

Chase: Gah! [Rolls onto his shoulder and turns to try and trip Elanhil again, keeping his blade up, which softens the blow, but also nicks his neck as he turns.] You're good. [Pushes Elanhil's blade off to the side and quickly gets back on his feet. He swings his blade through air, watching Elanhil carefully.]

Me: I realized yesterday that Mordir's name is spelled just like Mordor, except for one letter.

Aris: I think you're right, Hadwin. The groundscape is probably the same way sometimes.

Cory: Even the setting can be chaotic.

Elanhil: *beats Chase's blade down then moves his up again in an upward cutting motion.*

Me: As of now, Elanhil has no abilities in the area of magic. He was too powerful and it wasn't necessary. Only elves could be so powerful.

Niarah - I know that this dragon tends to exaggerate more than she needs to.

Thysal - (grunts as her head meets Chayn's) No, I don't! (Snaps at Chayn's shoulder and smacking her with a wing at the same time) Then your dead body it shall be!

Akira - (shifts back to human form) Are all dragons like that? Competitive and tempermental?

Sylvia - I hope not (eyes Ember)

Ember - (stares back with huge, enigmatic golden eyes)

Malcolm: No, there are some races that aren't.

Erronys *shrugs*

Malcolm: The Pyraustas and the Basilisks aren't, but the lyrblaka, the leviathans and the wyverns tend to be. *gives a half smile*
