Me: You don't have a desk.

Jay: *facepalm*

Chase: Oh crud! [Tries to block all the hits, but misses some of them. Finally deflects a blow and spins around behind Griffin and slices at his back] You couldn't have... added a token... for speed?

Me: That's your problem, not the sword's.

Tynx: Oh come on now. The fun's just getting started. Here. [Slides Iri's sword out and flies low to the ground] So neither of us gets skewered. [Gently places the sword by Aaron] Hold that for him. [Swoops back up into the air, at the same time he throw Iri above him, then catches him on his back] Hold on!

Me: Oh, tell me when it's over.

Cory: [Dying with laughter]

Chayn: [Roars] Welcome to our airy domain, Master Elf. Hold on to your dragon tightly! And Welcome, Raedon Shapeshifter!

Me: What's with the titles?

Chayn: [Shrugs]

Cory: [Has now died laughing]

Cassie: Ooh, how fun! So many dragons! I want one!

Me: No, I'm already busy trying to restrain two, one more won't be necessary.

Mordir: You can't spell.

Me:

Me - Gotta love the sarcastic villains.

Thysal - (whistles, and circles Tynx) A dragon-fox! Who knew! Hang on, Jay! (swoops down and does a loop around Raedon and Derek) This is getting old. Hold on . . . (dives down again, then does a parallel to the ground, clips Mordir with her right wing, then pulls back up again) What other daring stunts can we find?

Zanya - (shapeshifts back into human form) I wish I had a dragon now.

Niarah - You're so caring, Aaron.

Zanya - I like having Iri up there!

Akira - Oh, the poor elf.

Silver - (wanders over towards Eruwaedhiel's dragons) Hello! Can you guys talk?

Ember - (follows Silver)

Sylvia - I can't wait to see what trouble they manage to get into now . . .

Skooter: Trouble? I have friends who live there.

Me: Buddy, trouble isn't a place, it's something that happens to you.

Skooter: No, trouble does not happen to me.

Me: Not it happens to all people.

Skooter: But trouble happens to Stellwento and Fulgar.

Me: It happens to all creatures

Skooter: *cocks head* I have never been to trouble.

Me: Never mind. It's so hard explaining things to the simpler creatures.

Raedon: *stares at Thysal* can we do that?

Derek: I don't know. I'm not very good at this yet.

Me: I've lost all control...

Thysal - Brilliant!

Me - I'm sure I've seen that in a movie somewhere . . .

Thysal - Ready?

Niarah - I don't think I can watch.

Thysal - (shoots upwards at a high speed, and at the apex of her flight, suddenly drops and dives, leaving Jay behind. Thysal loops around by the ground and comes up underneath Jay, catching him ten feet off the ground. Pulling back upwards, she zips past Tynx and Iri) How's that, young daredevil?

Niarah - Oh. My. Goodness. (feeling suddenly weak, she sits down)

Ryan - Whoa! Do it again!

Me - Thysal, I can't believe you just did that.

Niarah - I can.

Ember - (squeaks agreement)

Sylvia - Who asked you?

Mordir: Ow! [Glares]

Me: Chill.

Chayn: Hold on, Shawn! [Shoots into the air further than she should probably go, then sharply flies down, furling her wings close to her body]

Seymour: Chayn!

Chayn: [Wings open up, bringing Chayn and Shawn upward a few yards before circling] Whew... that was exhilarating. You still there, Shawn?

Cory: Chayn, you're going to give someone a heart attack.

Chayn: [Snorts and ignores him]

Tynx: [Glides gently] I'll bet you can find that old Dragon Rider spirit. Hold on! [Roars and flies upward, spiraling as he goes] Who should we divebomb?

Mordir: Not over here!

Cory: Scared?

Mordir: Hey, I just had clipped by a dragon. Don't blame me for being hesitant about diving dragons.

Cory: Chicken.

Mordir: I like beef better, actually.

Cassie: I life cow!

Mordir That's... that's the same thing.

Cassie: Oh, well... I like beef, too!

Mrdir:

Kai: So, Iri, am I going to fight you or are you busy?

Roel: Wow. Look at all those dragons.

Me: Guys, this is Roel. He's a-

Roel: Can I introduce myself?

Me: I thought you were busy staring at dragons.

Roel: *sigh* Hello, all. My name is Roel, though you can see that if you can read. It's a Dutch name. Anyhow, I'm a human. I don't have any special powers like Phantoms, but I come in handy when they're trying to blend in.

Kai: Only because you human don't have skin as dark as mine, or as light as Klasina's.

Roel: Of course.

Me: Roel, he's trying to pick a fight.

Roel. I know.

Me: Roel doesn't fight much. He like spying and that sort of thing better. So he's learned to ignore negative comments, so he doesn't draw attention with a fight.

Kai: He isn't much fun.

Roel: Sure I am. Just not in the way you want.

Klasina: Boys.

Roel:

Shawn: That was cool! Tynx, you should dive bomb-

Me: Um, no.

Shawn: *silent glare*

Jay: Cory, Chayn will give you a heart attack if anyone.

Me: What has gotten into you two?!

Characters: *blank looks*

Me: Very funny.

*darkness swirls into a roughly cylindrical shape, then dissipates, revealing a man, about 6', pale, with black hair and dark eyes, attired in old-style black clothing, very good-looking*

Vetis: Greetings, mortals.

Zanya - (walks up to Vetis, her feline ears perked curiously, followed by Akira and the ever curious Ember) Welcome, non-mortal, to this place of insanity. (grins)

Akira - Hello, and welcome, stranger.

Niarah - If you want to find out what we are, just ask, or you could read back and find out then.

Ryan - Coming from a creature with felinian pride.

Niarah - (swips him with one paw) Exactly!

Thysal - Wow, Jay, you think we should do it again? All of it? Right, sounds good to me! Heads up, Mordir!

Sylvia - You should probably skip that part!

Thysal - (Shoots upwards once more)

Vetis: *casts a glance back at the numerous previous posts* I think I'd rather ask for a summary of who you are. I am not particularly inclined to read all of that.

Akira - Oooh, this could get interesting. Where do we start?

Me - Most of the people standing on the ground are humans, with the exception of Lady Eruwaedhiel's elves, Amanda's Phantoms (?), and my mixed creatures. There's dragons soaring about overhead, and they'll mess with you if you aren't careful . . .

Thysal - HEY!

Me - . . . And there are dragons underfoot, namely Silver (water dragon) and Ember (dragon cub). Speaking of bewaring people, we do have villains here; Elanhil's Merashath, Aris's Mordir, and Lady Eruwaedhiel's Iri. Lemme see . . . Tynx (Aris's character) is normally a fox, but right now he's shapeshifted into a dragon. Zanya and Akira--your welcome crew--are Felanai and Canai respectively; Zanya can shapeshift into a feline and Akira can shapeshift into a River Wolf. Did I forget anyone?

Niarah - How about me? And tell him about the duelling.

Me - Niarah is a snow leopard, but is very human-like. And there are duels; if you challenge someone to a duel, then you can fight post by post, but you can't control each other's characters. Any other questions about individual characters, and you can ask their individual authors about them.

Ryan - I'm not going to even bother reading all that.

Sylvia - For once, I agree with you.

Zanya - I think you've covered everything . . . but you're going to be in trouble if you've forgotten anyone.

Sabre - How encouraging.

Vetis: Mmm. Good to know I'm not the only villain here. *eyes the crowd speculatively*

Me: Vetis, you should challenge Emeth's character (the name is escaping me) and his swords to a duel.

Kai: That's not fair.

Me: It might be. He might be more powerful than the last one.

Kai: I hope so. Otherwise, he's toast.

Me: Since when did you care about demons?

Kai: I don't. I hate them. But it would be nice to warn the author, don't you think?

Me: Mmmm.

Klasina: Demon? Uh. Hi. * backs away *

Kai: It's okay, Klasina. He can't hurt you.

Klasina: * hugs Kai *

Me: Is Vetis really a demon? Or just demon-possessed? I read the thread about him, but I wasn't sure.

Seymour: [Nods to Vetis] Welcome, sir.

Me: Hi! Chayn and Tynx are busy up there. Tynx, like Ciela said, is a fox, but he's busy being reckless at the moment. Cory, Mordir, Cassie, and Chase are humans, and Seymour's half-Elf.

Chayn: [Follows Thysal upward] Hold on!

Mordir: What?! Wait a minute, what'd I do?!

Cory: Nothing. Your a villain, so you get picked on.

Chayn: We're coming for you, Cory!

Mordir: So... what does that make you?

Cory: Uh, I'm not sure.

Me: A victim of leftover MD?

Cory: She got rid of that a while ago.

Tynx: Here goes! Hold on, Iri!

Me: Tynx!

Tynx: [Completely ignores her and dives down directly above Ryan]

Me: Oh he's gonna kill someone.

Cassie: Wow! He's going so fast!

Norindas: What in the world of-

Me: No! Get out! Out! You can't be in here, you'll drive everyone insane! Out, out out!

Cory: Who was that?

Me: A... a character from a story.

Mordir: No, really? I thought he was your neighbor.

Me: He's a guy in my allegory story. A master swordsman.

Mordir: Oh yeah, no I remember...

Me: As you well should.

Mordir: Hey, he's better than Aivere or the King himself. Or Zaek.

Me: Zaek's probably a bit much.

Cory: Mordir needs a villain friend, though-

Mordir: I do not.

Me: Not unless he's wanted. I have enough people already.

Vetis: I am a demon. The Demon Lord of Corruption. And I would enjoy a duel.

Zanya - Another demon? What is with you guys and turning up? Negraz is over there. (points to Griffin's posts) He's something like you.

Akira - (walks towards Sabre) I'll be over here, thanks.

Ember - (sniffs Vetis and squeaks in alarm, darting for cover behind Sylvia)

Sylvia - Shhh, relax Ember.

Thysal - (Reaches the apex of her flight) Hang on, Jaaaaaayyyy! (swoops down in Mordir's direction)

Ryan - (looks up) AHHHHH!

Silver - (races off) I'm outta here!

Pernoxnix: Hello Vetis. If you so much as look at my charge the wrong way I'll kill you.

Me: He seems to lose his eloquent tongue when it gets right down to business.

Skooter: *eyes get shifty as he bares his teeth* They did not tell me the evils are here.

Mordir: Hold on! Don't do that! [Backs up frantically, but doesn't run... yet.]

Tynx: Whoo! [Pulls up mere feet from Ryan and loops around and back up into the sky] Wow, that was awesome!

Seymour: He's going to lose his rider if he's not careful.

Chayn: [Dives at Cory]

Cory: Wah! [Jumps aside just as she flashes past]

Cassie: Do it again! Do it again!

Cory: No! Don't do it again!

Vetis: *gives Pernoxnix's charge a dirty look*

Pernoxnix: Skooter is not my charge, in fact you can't see him right now. But mark me, there will be blood.

Me: Relax Nix, this is a Christian forum, he has no power here. *to bookwormnick* sorry if them getting on him bothers you, bit of a history with demons I'm afraid.

Me: *chuckles* I don't care. This is why he's here. So I can see how he reacts to various circumstances.

Vetis: Is that a challenge?

Pernoxnix: Consider it a threat to end you before Judgment Day. Challenge would imply difficulty, as my spiritual allies infinitely outweigh yours, challenge only describes my resistance to laughter at the consideration of your future.

Vetis: Ah, I see. You know that you are my inferior in a true duel, and so will not commit to fighting me before the final clash between Light and Darkness, in which you can be sure that all of the armies of Light can back you up. You fear me. *smug*

Pernoxnix: *click chuckles (it's a gecko thing)* amusing attempt o slave of corruption.

Me: Woot! 100 pages of awesome!

Vetis: Flattery will get you nowhere. The fact remains that you decline to battle me. That says that you fear me. And actions speak much louder than words.

Pernoxnix: Interesting, fact implies the existence of truth... As for your consistent reference to fear, I was not given a spirit of timidity. there is only One I fear. However, your need for a fight shows you consider me a viable threat; a position I willingly accept. Now whether you'll excuse me or not: *fades to invisible*

Skooter: *stands up and sniffs the air* Wait Arcane! I will find Tanner with you!

Me: Wait, wait, wait... How did Skooter jump into the same story page as Nix?

Vetis: *chuckles* Amusing. He flees before I can insult his dignity further.

Me: Has anyone seen Elanhil? I need to know what Tanner is up to on that dragon...

Raedon: hold on...

Me: I don't want to watch.

Raedon: Yes, you do. You wish you were up here.

Me: *sigh* I'm scared of heights.

Raedon: whatever *swoops down on bookwormnicks post, pulling up short before he crashes into Vetis.

Derek: Beware, villain!

Raedon: *flies back to circle with the other dragons.

Me: You aren't picking a fight... are you?
*thinks Raedon and Derek get along far too well.*

@bookwormnick:Raedon is a shapeshifter from a scifi story. He was in here early and I can't get him to stay out. Derek is a prince from my WIP, and he actually encouraged Raedon to sneak back in because he wanted a dragon to ride too.

Me: oh yeah, Pernoxnix is a black gecko with green eyes about the size of a beagle. Skooter is a otter that is blue with white stripes.

Vetis: *didn't flinch as the dragon swooped by* *snorts* Pathetic showboaters.

Chayn: Welcome to the skies, Raedon, Derek.

Tynx: Howdy, ya'll!

Me: Ya'll?

Seymour: [Chuckles]

Mordir: [His sword blade touches Vetis's neck just a little] As fun as attacking a man's - or animal's - dignity may be, insulting the enemy is almost as cowardly as refusing a duel, as you yourself do nothing.

Me: [Smashes forehead repeatedly against a tree]

Cory: Don't you have a dragon coming after you?

Mordir: Aye. I can handle it.

Cory: You were freaking out a moment ago.

Mordir: That was you freaking out, sir.

Cassie: Haha!

Chayn: [Roars angrily] Showboaters! You dare insult a dragon?!

Me: Easy Chayn, you have a rider.

Tynx: I'm not a dragon, and I kind of take that as an insult, too.

Me: Seymour, please tell me i still have control of these people that I call my characters.

Seymour: I'm sure you do.

*Mordir's blade bends itself away from Vetis' neck*

Vetis: If there are any here who are brave, or foolish, enough to come out and challenge me, let him speak.

Thysal - (swoops upwards just before striking Mordir, her tail tapping Vetis instead) Heh, Showboaters, eh? Say that to my face, creature! ( circles around the villains, growling)

Me - Where'd my control go?

Zanya - Vetis, I believe that I'm brave enough. Or foolish, as you put it. All things considered, I probably wouldn't last five minutes against you. But my challenge is there, if you feel up to it.

Sabre - Zanya, I can't believe you just did that.

Zanya - And?

Sabre - I'm with you, then. Vestis, that's a double challenge for you. Two on one?

Me - Hey hey hey! Nope, you're not doing that. It'll be fair, one against one.

Akira - With him, that's not fair.

Ember - (squeaks agreement)

Me - Since when did you begin to understand human speech?

Derek: I'm not sure he got the message...

Raedon: *banks and comes back at Vetis, from behind, and this time doesn't swoop up. Vetis either has to move or get knocked over....*

Me: *faints* 100 pages??? I am not reading all ten or so that I missed. Sorry if I delayed the air battle. Are we still going on with that?

Elanhil: What about my duel? Can I jump back in?

Hadwin: *bows at Philip, his beard almost touching the floor* I am sorry, my good sir if my author has delayed us, but if you still wish we can duel.

Me: I am so behind...

Kai: I am a GUY!

Klasina: *giggle*

Me: Hey, that's not nice. :glares at characters: Do you like being mean or something??

Kai: Umm....

Me: *sigh*

Kai: Well, Iri, let me know when you're less busy. I need to fight someone!!!

Klasina:

Mordir: Hey! [Ducks as Thysal flies overhead and backs up frantically] Hey!

Me: [Points to the door]

Mordir: You'll pay for that. [Marches out, grumbling angrily]

Cory: Take your time!

Chayn: [Circles high above] What do you want to do next, Shawn?

Tynx: With pleasure! [Dives downward straight at Chayn, then rolls up and over and under her and continues on down, then flares his wings out, skimming everyone's heads]

Me: Tynx, be careful! If you lose your rider-

Cory: SInce when are you concerned with the well-being of villains?

Me: Who says I'm not? I have one, don't I? He's still alive.

Tynx: Round two! [Dives down at Kai and Klasina]

Klasina: *screams and darts to Kai*

Kai: You're not planning on picking us up, are you? * hugs Klasina * It's alright, Klasina.

Me: Awwww...

Klasina and Kai: * ignore author *

Roel: * laugh *

Tynx: [Circles the two and lifts off] I won't, if you don't want to. I don't think I can carry three, anyway.
