So my initial thoughts were an underdeveloped world, but maybe instead it could be, extravagant, and sort of overdeveloped, but everything is hollow..

any thoughts?

So my initial thoughts were of a place that would be extravagant, and luxurious. I guess the premise would be that this place is arrogant, haughty, and thinks itself above others. it masks itself in riches and fine things, but in truth is lonely, old, hollow, and hiding dark secrets. I originally prepared something I just wrong as an example, but i lost it  :0 :beg: . So i wrote it again...

Like i said this is an example, showing that this place on outward appearance is and was extravagant, but upon closer examination its hiding something else...

Thanks!

Pretty well described. I thought of something quite like what you thought of.
I like the idea of creating a place based off of a word; I shall try that.

Or a scene or plot based on a word... You could use the idea for a lot of things.

Yes and the word doesn't have to be one particular theme. If you read the bible there are some interesting words, and adjectives.

Think, think, think...

Some interesting ones would be:

perdition,
longsuffering,
profane,
meek,
iniquity,
seraphim,
consumption,
upright,
blasting,
prudence,
bruit,
expedient,
vanity,
steadfast.

Wow consumption..that word sparked something...also steadfast in a more negative light, but all good words..

Malice is another good one..

That is a fascinating description, Rinothean. I like the details you included. It's so rich, I almost miss the hollowness – but here and there I see it. The line <Dust circled the air around the chair, like a barrier, it seemed forgotten, just like the rest of its home.> is one of the places. 'It seemed forgotten'. Yes.

I really like this idea of basing a setting or a scene or something on a single word like this.

Bruit... I like the idea of that one. And Consumption.
