In my world, one of my races has different gifts - there are seven categories. Not everyone has these gifts, some are born without them.

Healing- the ability to heal physical wounds - nothing to do with mental scarring, or mental pain.

Projecting Thoughts - these cannot read thoughts, but they can project a thought to someone.

Creating Fire - the ability to create fire with their hands.

Strength - not only physical strength, but mental will power as well.

Knowledge - the ability to retain far more knowledge than the average person, and being able to learn much faster than most.

Compassion - this gift is mostly one that women have, they often see the 'other side' to an argument, or incident; they have a love and compassion for others in a way that most people cannot comprehend.

Agility - not only in body but also in mind - quick in thinking, and responding to situations.

These gifts grow as the person nurtures them. If people don't learn more, and show a willingness and desire to improve their gift it will be very weak. The more they seek to improve, and the more they practice, the more that gift will grow. So you often have people at different stages with their powers. The older are far more powerful than the younger.

This is something very new that I decided on having in this race, so questions to help me develop them would be most appreciated!

How serious of a wound can they heal? Broken bones? Injuries to vital organs? Does it take longer to heal more serious wounds?

How does this work? Does a flame come out of their hands? Do they have to be touching a flammable object, or can they throw fire from a short distance away?

I may think of more questions later.

If someone is developed and skillful enough, can they project their thoughts with enough 'force' to coerce someone to do something? Like mind control? Y'know, if their thought can be sent as a 'suggestion' or something?
