Is this supposed to be a timeline/recap thing, because some of the events appear take place before and after the Lost History story/thing, right?

Which is why you kind of just fill in what happens before after the battle where his brother dies and stuff, right?

The book "Lost History of Elay" is a history book that is in the process of being written, it is what everyone who goes to Elay's schools use when learning history.

So to answer that, none of the events happen before or after it, it's just referencing it for learning purposes and this is sort of a timeline of the history of Elay.
