Here I am again with another creature from Skalahseh.Something a quite a bit less cuddly then a beast men, Vampires.

Like all those things that go pump in the night the origin of vampires begin with Deamon. In order to sustain themselves the rebel spirits feed off of human essence, human souls. While in most cases Deamon deceive their victims tricking them into inviting them in So they can feed off their Desires, Fears, And Hatred. Sometimes humans invite them in knowingly in the hopes of obtaining power.

These Sorcerers make pacts to allow these wicked spirits in allowing them to slowly consume all that they are. Driving them into sickness and insanity until all that is left is but a empty shell. Then the Deamons leave, but when they do their essence remains. Overtime this essence can form a sort of false soul called an echo. This Echo will posses all the memories of the Sorcerer who's body it resides in, Effectively however it is nothing more than a shadow of that person, and a hungry one at that. The echo will hunger for a true soul, and seek to devour the souls of others. Effectively becoming a Deamon in the flesh, A Vampire. Luckily anything that works of a Deamon should work on a Vampire. However they also posses many of the abilities inherent to a Deamon as well. Making them formidable forces of evil.

Very neat, it fits in with the historical legends of vampires being human corpses inhabited by evil spirits but with a nice fantasy twist!

I personally would like to read about more of the evil creatures along with a few of the good ones if you have any to share! :3

Why do the demons leave the bodies when they've consumed them?

And what are the vampires like before their 'echo' forms?

This is a very interesting concept. I am impressed.

I like the idea of them being Daemons until they inhabit the body, at which point they are called Vampires. Same thing practically, they just live off their hosts differently.

I really like this idea, it's innovative, a new take on the origin of a vampire...

They leave the body because there is nothing left to feed on. Some remain in the body but that's a whole other monster. Lich anyone?
