Merashath: I've decided to do this around everything I say.

Hadwin: [leans back] I suppose there are some dwarfs who sleep in the mines, when work is busy. But all own a house outside. We normally eat whatever fruit we can gather from the forest, but normally on bushes, not up in trees. We don't eat meat. Winter is very cold, there is snow on the ground for about 2-3 months. But we don't let that get in our way. Some of us leave our regular jobs and shovel out paths for the mining carts and things to go through.

Elanhil: I've always wanted to visit a dwarf mine.

Jade: I wouldn't.

Elanhil: Oh, come on, Jade. These are the guys who invented guns!!

Jade: Still, it doesn't seem pleasant.

Elanhil: I've given up on you.

Jade: [whining] Author!! He's being mean!!

Gill: Oh look, a blue ball *Soars over his head*

Grace: Mon Dieu! Can't we just settle down and talk about this?

Sir Phillip: Who wants to talk when you can chuck balls! *Throws a ball at Gail*

Lucius: You people are MONSTERS! *throws green ball out at Gill* *jumps out of the way as red ball now heads towards Ioanna, catches blue ball and throws it at Anton, bends over backwards letting purple ball buzz by towards Cory, grabs orange ball and throws it at Sir Phillip, and snatches silver ball launching it at Dani for revenge* *wipes sweat from brow and mutters under his breath* Monsters, they're all monsters...

Charlotte: LUCIUS! Look out! The sea ball! *points frantically at said ball*

Me: :O


Lucius: *attempts to side-step out of the way, but ball brushes his cheek* *Lucius cringes and falls to his knees, head hanging low* Defeated.

Charlotte: *tears up* That's terrible! Oh, Lucius! *runs over and gives him a hug* You were wonderful, truly you were a sight to behold.

Merashath: Mordir, good sir. DO I NOT LOOK LIKE A VILLAIN?

Me: I think he was referring to his own team.

Merashath: Oh.

Jade: Thanks. [takes a seat as far as possible from anyone else].

Me: Don't be bitter Jade.

Jade: [gets up and sits next to Elanhil.

Hadwin: We believe that animals have every right to live as we do. Several of us dwarves have Sapramuh as pets, mine is Ohstel. And as you have probably seen, some of us use guns, but mostly we use axes if it comes to war.

Elanhil: [Rising hesitantly] Um, sure, I have time. Is it ok with you? [slowly draws sword]

Gill: *Sidesteps the green ball catching it in his right hand and twirls around throwing it randomly in a different direction.*

Grace: *Leaps up and catches orange ball before tossing it in air towards Marashath,*

Sir Phillip: Thank you Grace, *Grabs blue ball and throws it at Lucius*

Winnie: *Walks over to me* I do not want to join this war.

Me: Come, stay with me and we shall watch.

Me: Sir Phillip, I'm afraid to say that Lucius is out already.

Lucius: *blue balls hits Lucius in the head and bounces off towards Griffin* Thank you for adding salt to the wound, Sir Phillip.

Me: Okay, I've gotten a hold of myself now but that was pretty pitiful to say, Lucius.

Lucius: *quirks and eyebrow then smirks* Really?

Sir Phillip: I apologize, I had not read you were out.

Grace: *Chucking balls in different directions*

Winnie: Oh dear, Whatever will we do Master?

Me: Stay come Winnie dearest, and do not add to the chaos.

Gill: *Laughs evilly while stalking Elanhil*

Me: Sir Philip, before you get too chaotically involved perhaps we could assign your characters a team.

Merashath: [catches the orange ball in his wing] What shall I do with this?

Anton: You took my ball!!!

Ioanna: Oh, knock it off. ::dodges red ball and lets it fly towards Anton::

Anton: Hey! ::dives out of the way::

Ioanna: ...That should have hit you... AMANDA!

Me: Hee hee. I said I didn't want him out yet, remember?

Ioanna: Grrrr.

Ethan: ::scoops up red ball:: *thinking*Ok... who should I throw this at..? ::throws red ball at Aaron::

Me: Calen, you were hilarious! Especially 'cause it was technically your fault he got out.

Me: Um, how did all those balls pick themselves up and start flying toward Lucius?

Griffin: Don't worry about it; it's a good thing. (puts hand out and grabs blue ball while talking, then lobs it at Merashath) That's a warning, YOU'RE NEXT!!!!!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Phillip: (shaking Griffin) Get control of yourself!

Griffin: Sorry.

Ravork: I am also a villain in the game. Good idea Merashath, I think I'll use the evil smiley too. (grabs green ball and hurls it toward at Ethan)

Griffin: (snatches sea ball from the floor) Here Matt, hold this.

Raedon: *changes into grey wolf into carnivorous plant into a small bird into a green dragon into a red dragon into a falcon into a...*

Telvia: That makes me a little dizzy after a while.

Jathan: Why do you do that?

Raedon: Why do you breath? *into a Phoenix into a harpie into [numerous other fantasy shapes too detailed to explain in the space give here]...*

Aaron: @ Arionwyn: Development on me isn't necessary.

Arionwyn: Well, look who's Mr. High and Mighty!

Aaron: *scowls and throws the yellow ball at her. It bounces off her forehead and is headed for the ground until Aaron holds out his hand towards it and directs it toward Ionna's team. It is now hurtling with impossible speed toward Ethan.*

Sonderen: I was half-elf to begin with. Then they (meaning Lady E and her mom White Raven) started discussing me heavily on a lengthy car trip (man, discussion hurts, almost as much as fractalling I've been told) and I'm now half-Tuliran half-Haethor. Which means my looks have changed drastically.

Me: O yeah. Sorry about that. *yells at Aaron and Arionwyn* You two settle down or I'll tie you both up!! *sighs* Alright. Do you want me to describe you again, Sonderen?

Sonderen: Thank you no. *closes his eyes, then opens them again and suddenly he looks completely different. His skin is a medium to dark brown, his hair is an almost metallic shade of black, and he is now well over six feet tall. His features are somewhat sharper and his eyes are a luminescent silver with slit pupils like a cat's. His shoulders are broader while his hands are very slender, with pale skin under the fingernails and on his palms. He shudders.*

Kian: Whoa.

Mya: *raises an eyebrow*

Ohstel: [ears prick up and she approaches Niarah]

Me: Is Niarah a feline?

Hadwin: In the winter we're sure to store enough berries/vegetables to last us, and there is also a special kind of fruit that grows in the winter. One year that fruit didn't produce because of a parasite, but we had enough other food. Thanks, and yes, the women dwarves have weapons, but not young girls.

Elanhil: [hesitantly] Uh, yes. I'm ready. [slowly and gently lunges at Gail]

Merashath: [Hurls the orange ball straight forward at the blue one. The balls collide and switch directions, so Merashath re-catches the orange one, as the blue one flies back at Griffin. He hurls the Orange one also, so the Blue one is flying at his feet, while the Orange one is headed right for his chest.]

Me: Whew, that's a long move.

Merashath: Actually it takes little time at all, just a long time to describe.

Me: I know. I wrote it, remember?

Tynx: Sweetness! Another shapeshifter.

Me: More or less.

Tynx: Doesn't matter, shapeshifters rule!!!

Mordir: [Inches away form the over-excited fox]

Cassie: Hi, new.... or, people who've been here before! [To Hadwin] Oh, cool. Do Dwarves swim?

Hakor: She'd make an excellent interrogator.

Cassie: A what?

Hakor: Never mind.

Chase: Any way we can stop those?

Cory: I've no idea. Griffin jump and duck!

Seymour: Welcome back to those who have been absent.

Jek: Ever formal.

Me: I didn't say you could come back yet.

Seymour: It was getting boring back in Piensor. Tesmir's brothers were going to join me, but Lorielle and I lost them in the forest.

Tesmir: If they get hurt, I'm blaming you.

Cory: Which do you like being better, half-elf or the half Tuliran and half Haethor?

Gail: Come now, slow and gentle does not win you a duel. Fight me like I am your worst enemy! [Deflects the lunges and steps sideways, his eyes more or less in Elanhil's direction] Show me what you can do.

Me: Don't worry about hurting him, Elanhil. Have at 'im.

Mordir: You like saying more or less, don't you?

Me: More or less.

Tynx: You so fell for that one.

Mordir: I know, I walked right into it.

Me:

Cassie: [Claps as Raedon's form shifts] That's cool. I wish I could do that. And be a Dwarf.

Chase: If you could shapeshift, you could be a Dwarf whenever you wanted.

Cassie: Oh yeah.

Niarah - @Elanhil (the author); I've been a feline. I'm an Ilarian snow leopard. @Ohstel; So, what sort of feline are you?

Rahor - Relax Niarah, it's been a while since we were introduced.

Zanya - @Tynx; Hi! (her form changes to feline) You mentioned something about shapeshifters, are you one?

Griffin: (grabs orange and flips to avoid the blue one at his feet, spins to catch the blue after it bounces off a wall) Yeah! (tosses blue ball to Phillip and holds on to the orange ball)

Lucius to Griffin (author): I believe I had that same question run through my mind...
Merashath, know I applaud you on the side-lines.

Charlotte: *stretches then yawns* Our team seems rather dormant.

Me: Hm, yes, it does seem to be rather mundane on our end, doesn't it?

Charlotte: *brings out a hen and starts petting it while it squacks to get away*

Me: Wha...? Where'd the chicken come from??!!??

Charlotte: I am not sure, but she is a sweet creature. *chicken protest as Charlotte tries to restrain it to her lap*

Lucius: Here, let me. *grabs chicken from Charlotte and begins fondling its wattles (the red flaps of skin under the beak)*

Chicken: *starts warbling contentedly*

Me: Aw, happy chicken!

Me: I have another character I could bring here (well, he's already escaped and said "hi" once), but at the moment he's annoying me. It seems that he has already decided he doesn't like his role in the story I'm going to write.

Syleh: And he's starting to creep me out.

Me: How? I haven't told you people anything!

Syleh: But we live in your head.

Me: Very true... but none of you get to find out ahead of time what's going to happen in your story.

Raedon: *suddenly shifts into an elf and stays that way*

Telvia: There, that's better.

Raedon: Did I hear there is another shapeshifter here?

Telvia: If you think it's one of your own race you're going to be dissapointed.

Raedon: Look, I'll settle for anyone from the Alliance! Anyone who doesn't look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I'm a space pilot. I just want to go home.

Me: *off stage* I wouldn't say that if I were you!

Jathan: You say that now, but you'll change your mind when you meet him.

Raedon: Meet who?

Telvia: There is no way home. That's what they told me. We're stuck here, forever...

Jathan: It's not that bad here. You have me, and there's the kingdom of course...

Raedon: I hate it. I hate almost every planet in the alliance. I want to be in space.

Me: *returning* You stop talking about space or I'll make you go over to the scifi forum. That's where you belong anyway. I'm only letting you stay because shape-shifters are rather fantasy-eque no matter how you look at them.

Telvia: I thought you were working on the fall cleanup.

Me: I was. but that's almost done now and I thought I'd better check on you and the dodgeball game. Anyone close to loosing yet?

Telvia: Lucius is out. Action has slowed a bit.

Me: Hm... well, you be good. Has Raedon been behaving?

Elanhil: [swallows hard] Um, are you absolutely sure? [Elanhil thrusts again, this time a bit faster, but with no intent of striking Gail.]

Merashath: [looking very vicious] I will GET you!

Me: OH YEAH!!!

Steve: Hi!

Jade: [watching Elanhil and Gail]

Me: Did I miss anything? Like, that I should have replied to, but didn't?

Cory: We're losing, that's why it's dormant.

Tesmir: No, it's because you chuck all your balls at once and have to wait until the victim can do something. Not that that's bad, though!

Tynx: But that's fun to watch, too. [Looks at Zanya] Yeah, I can shapeshift. [Shifts into Ohstel] But only things I've seen before. And my eyes don't change color.

Cassie: Oh, why don't you swim? It's really fun, especially when the water is warm. Are there any people who try and steal your mines? Or do they just leave you alone?

Gail: [Moves Elanhil's blade to the side with his own.] I am very sure. Smite me with all you have! Think of me as someone who has just destroyed all you love, all you hold dear, and now I face you.

Hakor: Easy, there.

Gail: There is no easy in dueling.

Hakor: I know that-

Gail: Then you would not have it that.

Hakor:

Me: Don't, don't antagonize him. He'll be fine.

Tynx: How can he tell where Elanhil is?

Gail: That is a secret.

So who won?

Griffin: (intercepts red ball since apparently Aaron wasn't interested in it and tosses orange ball to Tesra to hold) Okay, Cory grab the purple ball that is flying toward you and throw it at Merashath, then I'll let all mine go too.

Tesra: That sounded kind of bossy.

Me: And we haven't broken 65, that'll be after we finish 65.

Griffin: Which is why we must get Merashath out.

Cory: [Picks up purple ball] I already dodged that one. [Throws it at Merashath]

Cassie: [Stares wide-eyed as the ball explodes] Oooohh... pretty!

I think we decided later on that since there is no way to get back in we can just keep going till everybody on one team is out...so be reasonable.

Elanhil: [glances nervously around, but then suddenly thrusts with a twist on the sword full power]

Jade: [Looking at Elanhil and Gail] How uncivilized. Dueling in public.

Hadwin: We normally don't swim because there are no lakes around. But if there were I bet we would. Mostly people just leave us alone.

Me: [whispering to Cassie:] He doesn't know it yet, but near the beginning Hadwin's shop is held up. He has to give up 13 guns. But that's the first time it's ever happened.

Merashath: [wraps his wing around the ball, and spins around unwrapping it, letting the purple ball fly full force at Griffin]

Ethan: Yahhh! ::ducks ball::

Dianok: OUCH!

Ethan: Ooops, sorry. ::throws green ball at Merashath:: [he's on Kendri's team, right?]

Ioanna: Must this game end so soon? I was having fun!

Anton: Oh, lay off it. They'll think up some other crazy thing for us to do that'll be twice as much fun!

Ioanna: I still like dodgeball.

Anton: Whatever.

Merashath: [catches the green ball in the same fashion and hurls it at Griffin.] THROW ALL BALLS AT GRIFFIN!!

Griffin: (grabs the purple ball as it hurtles toward, although it knocks him backwards, he stands up, the ball safely in his hands) That was close. (sends the purple, red,blue, orange, and sea balls in rapid succession toward Merashath) Handle that!

Ravork: (intercepts silver ball and throws it at Griffin)

Griffin: (grabs ball and throws it right back)

Ravork: (ball hits him full force in the chest) Oww!!

Griffin: (grabs the ball he threw at Ravork when it bounces off him and hurtles it at Merashath, bows) Thank you, thank you.

Tesra: As I've said before, show off.

Ravork: NOOOOO!!!!!

Merashath: I'm not about to let you take me out! [SCREEEECH!!] [Merashath dives forward, his body parallel to the floor. The red and blue balls pass above and below him. Turning sideways, he cups the purple one in his wing and flings it back, but it collides with the orange one, sending both to the ground. Mean while, still turning until he is on his back, He holds up his wings to prevent them from being hit by the Silver and Green balls. He finally lands, spinning around onto his belly and hoping up onto his feet and catching the sea ball.] Sorry. Not quite good enough.

Me(to Cassie): It's all part of the story. If you had 12 crossbows all pointed at you, you'd gladly give up the guns too, wouldn't you.

Hadwin: Kids? I have 5 kids, and 9 grandchildren.

Jade: Well, *I* plan on remaining sane.

Me: Jade,blur your going there again.

Ohstel: [watches the colorful balls as they fly around Merashath.

Elanhil: [bats down the sword, bringing it up in the opposite direction. When it is held up vertically, he suddenly pulls his own sword out, ducking out of the way.] [winces at Gail's wound] Ouch!

Merashath: I wasn't finished yet. [Almost in a blur, Merashath launches the sea ball, then scoops up the blue and red balls, at flings them at Griffin. He rolls forward, grabbing the purple and orange balls, and catapults them at Griffin. He jumps back, and gets the silver and green balls, and chucks them at Griffin as well.]

Chase: [Catches the green ball, almost getting hit by another ball]

Cory: That's all we can do, Griffin.

Tynx: More than I could've done.

Mordir: Because you're not even two feet tall.

Tynx: You wouldn't have been able to either. You were the first one out.

Jek: And, like Griffin and Merashath, these two would kill each other if they lived together.

Gail: [Jumps backward a few paces] You are very skilled, young sir. Make sure you hold nothing back, now. [Brings down down through the air at Elanhil]

Hakor: Do you want him to kill you?

Gail: Not necessarily. But every person I ask to duel me, once they realize my..... condition, they do not use the full force that they could. Therefore, they're not much of a challenge.

Griffin: Finally, a challenge. (cracks knuckles, jumps, and flips letting the sea ball go under him and grabbing the red and blue balls, landing on the ground and spinning, hitting away the purple and orange balls with the blue and red ones, and lastly flinging the the blue and red at the silver and green, the blue hits the green, but the red speeds right past the silver and bounces off a wall rushing back toward Griffin)

Tesra: Oh boy...

Griffin: (tries to dodge the silver, but it brushes his cheek, he dives for it, catching the ball, and saving himself, but then the red bounces off his back straight up, Griffin spins around and catches it as it comes down) YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt: (jaw drops)

Phillip: That was intense.

Griffin: (runs forward spinning arms and throwing the red, blue, orange, green, purple, silver, and sea balls toward Merashath rapidly) Take that!

Zanya - (ears flatten in astonishment) Wow. That was impressive!

Niarah - (eyes both Merashath and Griffin) Are those moves physically possible?

Rahor - No. That's why they were able to do them.

Zanya - (Glances from Griffin to Merashath) Are you two normally like this? Are you adversaries or something?

Niarah - They have different authors, different stories.

Rahor - Merashath seems to have a gift for making enemies.
