In Ska'Lah'Seh the Elves or Mon'An (Meaning spirit men) are the product of humans and Ald'Mon (Good Spirits the Ska'Lah'Seh equivalent of angels). There is a similar concept mentioned in the Bible, referring to a race of giants known as the Nephilim. However in most Christian literature the Nephilim are seen as negative and the great flood is even sometimes attributed to their existence. However that seems to me to contradict the Bible, which said, and this is a direct quote

"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown" Genesis 6:4

So I'm like -_- Really. How does "heroes of old" translate into "unnatural abomination"? Yes I know that Goliath was a DISTANT descendent of the Nephilim, but honestly that doesn't mean much.

So what I am asking is whether you think that portraying the Mon'An in this way would be wrong? Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with it and think it is more Biblical than our modern view of the Nephilim. What are your opinions on the subject?

Mon'An- Are a tall and beautiful race with pointed ears who are the result of human and Ald'Mon couplings throughout many thousands of years. Mon'An range from First Born "True Half-Bloods" who can be distinguished by their huge majestic wings. All the way to Quarter Bloods who have no wings. Anyone with less than a quarter Ald'Mon in their veins is considered human. Many Mon'An have small vestigial wings. However the wingless variant is more common and the Truly Winged variant is extremely rare. Whenever a Winged one is born, whether from a human Ald'Mon coupling or simply a stroke of luck in breeding, It is considered cause for great celebration. The Mon'An are a highly spiritual people with only a few rare exceptions. They are also famous for their good nature. The more Ald'Mon, the more goodness pretty much. The only exception to this being the Di'Fir'An who have evolved into a warrior culture due to the corruption devouring their homelands. While still basically good natured they are a bit more intense than their lighter counterparts.

Also currently Shaping (Basically the ability to do "Magic") is almost purely a result of someone having Ald'Mon Blood. Whether it be just 1% all the way to 50% with 50% being entirely certain and 1% highly improbable.

Half-Dea'Mon- In the Southern Empire they consider the Mon'An to be Half Dea'Mon. However, this is impossible as Dea'Mon have trouble producing live offspring, let alone fertile ones. The Dea'Mon's parasitic nature makes it almost impossible to produce these children and only three of these abominations have ever been born alive. Dea'Mon'An are pale as snow with hair and wings as black as the void. They consume the blood to sustain themselves. They're pretty much vampires.

I don't see anything wrong with having good Nephilim. I lean towards the view that Nephilim had nothing to do with angels or demons due to the lack of evidence that angels or demons could have children with humans.
