<Gandalf stands upon the ramparts and looks out overall the valiant men & women of the realm. He raises his staff and it emits a bright glow that beats back the gloom trying to hang over the realm. With a gleam in his eye, he speaks>

Our king lies in captivity and darkness seeks to overcome. This light is not my own, it is a sign of our hope in The Oneaka God, it is fed by our prayers and made potent by our constant trust in Him. And see how it holds back the gloom. So now, while gloom is waylaid by hope I ask you: our king lies in captivity, how shall we free him? Shall we send dragons? Shall we send penguins? Shall we send an army of kitchen-sink-wielding leprechauns? Shall we send hobbits to infiltrate his prison and steal him thus away? See here the light of our hope in the One, let it inspire us to great plottings for the freedom of our king, let us chat about them in the common roomsChat rooms, let us here in the warmth of this lightthis thread concoct grand schemes the likes of which this world has never known! We know The One will release our king in His time and His way. But as we cry out to Him and trust in Him for this, let us in the light of our hope devise ways that we would see it done were the plans our own to make. :D Let it stir our minds to ingenuity and our souls to hope.

*glances up* *pulls out dictionaries and thesauri and attempts to translate the post above* I think what Gandalf just said is that this is a thread for us to concoct fantasy-style schemes for rescuing Jay while we wait for God to do the real rescue. *scratches head* At least....I think that's what he said. Oh! I think he mentioned talking about it in the chat room too! But pretty please be sure to post any such chats here for us to see :D

Oh! And as fun as it might be, don't write such schemes in any letters to Jay or they might think we're planning a real jail-break and just writing in code.

I guess it will lift our spirits to be light-hearted about this now and then. :)

Um...We could recruit George the Dragon to smash down the walls. :D

The penguins are up to any scheme that may be planned. I say we pool the plans.

All of Jordan's personalities ride quickly growing plants in after George smashes the walls. The penguins will be distracting with balloon animals.

The Abyss! Ha! *remembers* It appears it has swallowed Jay. :P I wonder if he remembers where the exit is... :D

You said the penguins jumped through portals to get between HF, SF and Fantasy, Shawn. I wonder if we can jump them across to Jay? ;) The Holy Worlds Penguin Rescue.

Okay, that was a bit of awesome.

"Our leader is missing; what will we do without him?"
"Wait, he gave me something really important before he left."
Doesn't that happen in quest-type stories a lot?

I think so.

We could just maneuver HWSF above the prison and teleport him out. Unless you think that's too easy.

So... Tuesday night, I was writing and thinking about Jay and this thread that I had just kind of skimmed over, and behind me, I hear my brother muttering incomprehensively to the iPad. Then, suddenly, there bursts forth sound! The Great Escape theme. My brother couldn't understand what made me laugh.
The song, by the way, is really catchy.

@Varon -could you teleport him out if the forum was only overtop of the prison? Wouldn't it have to be inside?
*displays lack of knowledge about all things Sci-fi*

Ok, so the dragon will smash through the wall while the mimetes crew rides rapidly-growing mimetes plants into the jail. Meanwhile 1/3 of the penguins will create a distraction, another 1/3 will search the abyss for the secret manual that tells how to beam Jay up using the HWSF, and the last 1/3 of the penguins will give support to the hundreds of Seer's dressed as ninjas by eating the guards livers/putting them on slow lifeboats to China...(Madagascar) What else?

Yeah, we could do it from the being above the prison, like in Star Trek.

*walks in, followed by a swarm of glittering, metallic dragonflies*

Escape plans! Brilliant!

My dragonflies could spy out the place and report back to us what they find. It'd make things a bit easier if we knew the layout, perhaps?

Also, should we have a need to get rid of any guards...Philly's cupcakes and Bethy's pies. No one can resist those. Shawn could send them by the penguins, perhaps. Just slip something in to temporarily turn the guards into something harmless...say, butterflies? ;)

Then, suddenly, there bursts forth sound! The Great Escape theme. My brother couldn't understand what made me laugh.
The song, by the way, is really catchy.

*Faints with laughter* I just looked it up on grooveshark and listened with this :o look on my face. I can totally see the penguins marching to that! (This makes me want to write this escape plan into a short story. )

Oh, oh, oh! *raises hand*
...not me. Sorry.
*helps Shawn up* I can watch other people read elvish. And, if someone finds out what it says, I might be able to decode cryptic wording. I'll stick around until then.

There's a few people around here who can do some of it, but I have a translator device if that will be easier.

Elvish manuals were not my invention, don't blame me. I'd go with the translator device...

I can translate snippets of Elvish, but I do think Varon's translator would work better...
