I found some notes today that I'd never typed up. About time I put something new in here, don't you think? Thing is, this is a bit out of date. I edited out the obvious apocryphal details, but I hope I didn't miss any. :D

**

Every mortal country reckoned it's own time by the years of the reigning king. The Tenth year of King Osimus in Task, the Thirtieth year of Ramoth. Marshus was reckoned from the from the conquering. Elleys was not dated at all before before mortal times. At first the mortals reckoned by their arrival, but eventually ceased to do so, since there was no need of a dating system. After Tell there was but one system, universally accepted all over Elleys, and that was from his ascension.

For travelers the mortal reckoning could be very confusing as there were some two dozen kingdoms each with their own reckoning. Everyone had to know everyone else's history in order to know what year it was when. When the barrier between the two realms were removed date reckoning began all over again from that time, by mortals and fairies alike and remained so until the ending of time.

Fascinating. :D Having multiple "date systems" going adds a certain flavor to that age.

I agree with Del. It's certainly unique to have different date systems... I can easily understand how the travelers may be confused, though. :)
