I throw around a lot of names. Not all of these people will have their own thread, and threads a ways in coming, so here's a general guide to help you keep track of who is who.

First Age
Conrad: Conrad was the heir of Task, the then-ruling empire at the beginning of the first age. After the fall of the empire he became a wanted man and escaped with six friends to sea. Caught in a storm he was stranded on an unknown land, which is how he discovered the race of the Elloi.

Tarren: Tarren was the prince of Waydon, one of the powers to arise immediately after the fall of Task. He captured Conrad and let him go, realizing that the call for his life was an unjust one. Later when Conrad is capture by another kingdom he helps him escape, earning a price on his own head. The two become friends, and Tarren is one of the six shipwrecked in Elleys. The place they were shipwrecked was known as Tarren's land, and in later times shortened to Tarren.

Zephyr: Zephyr is the queen of the immortals when Conrad is shipwrecked. At first she is determined to force him to leave, but eventually she becomes envious of what he has, that she does not. Her race is dying, mostly of boredom and purposelessness, and she accepts what he has to offer and makes him her king.

Second Age

Tell: Tell is a peasant boy, living at the height of the wizard wars. His family was killed in battle and he's raised by a foster family. The mother is too old to work, and the father was crippled. All the other children have been conscripted into the army, and Tell is the last to leave. Through his bravery and determination it is he who unites all the armies into one and drives the wizards back to the city of Yen, where they surrender. An uneasy peace is formed, which leads to the writing of the land-law and the forming of Yen as the capital of Elleys.

Third Age

Teslan: Teslan the Just understood Tell's law better than Tell himself, some said. He learned to manipulate the land-law, and he learned to write in his own versions of the law. He is attributed with much of the interpretation, as well as most legal precedents in ambiguous cases.

Fourth Age

Janin: Janin was Tell's heir at the changing of an age. As a student he showed a brilliant understanding of Tell's law, although his views were completely opposite to the common interpretation. After the accidental death of his fiancée he goes to the mortal world in search of revenge, precipitating the ending of everything.

Hérene: Hérene is Janin's cousin, and the traitor of Elleys. It is he who is commonly blamed with the fall, since he drove Janin to what he did. Yet he is not entirely to blame, the writing was on the wall, the infrastructure was crumbling, and only Herene saw it.

Tannis: Tannis is the grandson of Yancy, brother of Janin. His uncle tricked his mother and had him disowned. The usurper kept his mother silent for many years, but she'd left him a riddle and when he finally solved it he learned the truth. He approached the council of Lords for justice and was banished as a troublemaker. He is the first to explore the northlands, and is the one who finally brings about the destruction of the law.

Other People
Dahlia: Dahlia is the heir to Yen after the ending of the fourth age. She was born mute, but determined to succeed her father anyway. After her father is killed in battle she marries the heir of Ramoth-Tamara, successfully ending the great war.

I want to hear more about Herene. He sounds interesting. . . :) Great job, Jaynin! (You inspired me to write up a list of some political figures of Enderion. :) )

The story of Conrad, Tarren, and Zephyr sounds very interesting, as does that of Tell. And, of course, Janin.

Janin and Herene are the MCs of Prince of Yen, which is one of my four current WIPs. so you shall hear about them.

The others... *sigh* There was talk of other books called the Elleysian Chronicles. But I don't know if they'll ever get written or not.
