How does the blog work? Is that a part of the membership of the HW forum or an entirely different entity? Is the blog open for sharing, or is their some sort of method to be able to blog? Thanks!

In Christ,
Hannah

Liagiba,

I am still figuring out how all we are going to use the blog. I have some ideas, but I am not solid in any of them yet. Right now you can register for it and become an author and post stuff on it. It is mainly intended for the users to share their works and thoughts with the world after refining them in the forums. I would appreciate any ideas that you might have!

With joy and peace in Christ,

How do I register on the blog? I don't have anything to post, really, but I might at some point. Thank you!

On the sidebar on the right there should be a section with a 'register' link. Click that. If you can't find it I will give more specific directions. :)

Thank you, I just found it. What are the blog rules, in addition to the Holy Worlds rules? Obviously I'm not going to post like crazy on it or anything, I just wondered what it's role is. You said above that it is for posting our work; just wondered if there are any more specifics. Thanks!

Liagiba,

I am not sure as of yet. :) If you have any ideas, I am open to hear them. What I would suggest, though, is to limit yourself to things that would represent the forum ably and well. Make sense? I might end up starting a room for us to post and critique each others' work before we post it.

Understood. I will brainstorm, but as I am not a frequent blogger, I don't have any suggestions at this time. I will think about it, though!

Just wondering Jay, what exactly is the point of the blog if we can just publish our work here on one of the many forums? As you might say... can you please elaborate? :D

I would be more than happy to elaborate, if I knew exactly what to say. I am still in the figuring-out-process of the blog. But as for your question, I think there is still benefit to posting our work on the blog even though we can post it in the forum too. See, the forum is more for us, and the blog is more for everyone else. We should (I think) make our stuff be good in here, and then post it out there. It is hard to find stuff in here unless you know where to go, whereas the blog is nicely adapted for RSS feeds and browsing. Make sense?

Perhaps the blog could be more of a writer's development thing for everyone (Assuming your still undecided about its purpose). I for one, have a terrible time finding christian sites online that can help you grow as a writer. Obviously, the forum is a big solution, but for people who aren't members, it might be nice to have some sort of articles or something about developing writing skills. Just a thought.

Right now we are focusing on articles about what makes quality fantasy fiction, how to make it, where to find it, and maybe some examples here and there (i.e. short stories).

I am really wanting to get people posting on the blog. It creates a ton of advantages for us, and it is one of our primary reaches.
