What are Marcher Lords? I just saw them the other day and I couldn't figure out what they do! :?

Okay, I knew what the Marcher Lords were, but what's all the purple named, green named, and blue named people? There may be other colors but those are the ones I've seen the most. I couldn't find anything that told me what the color difference meant. Their rank isn't any different.

They moderate the forum (mostly editing, I think, but there are other things they do too.) I'm not exactly sure on the details, since I'm not one. :)

Moderators are also able to move, lock, split, merge, and otherwise mangle threads, as well as do many administrative actions on users.
