Eh... took me 45 minutes. You guys are nuts. Just gonna say that now. Course, had I seen that thread before now I'd have been in it too, but you know. I was wondering why we'd label someone who hadn't even done anything at all, much less anything wrong a 'Rebel'. Ya'll are goofs.

I was wondering what the story behind Joe Bloe was.

I'd stumbled across this user somehow and was greatly alarmed by his unique ring. But I did a forum search and turned up the Green bar thread, which sort-of explained it.

Joe Bloe needs a link to that thread in his profile to avoid dismaying such serious minded members of the forum team.

It's this growing feeling I have in the back of my head that the higher the rank the less sane you are. This doubt grew worse upon watching the members of the chat room last night, who usually consider themselves crazy and silly be a little overawed at the level of insanity demonstrated by a certain trio of Marcher Lords. Moderators and HRM are supposed to be serious and mature. MLs it seems, we're not so sure about...

It's a carefully kept secret, you know. We wouldn't want you to be alarmed at our mental state. We need the sane green people to hide the fact that we're not always as serious and important as we seem.

Can I move this to Q&A? Since Joe Bloe exists on as a figment of our imaginations it's not really about userhandling and anyone can find him in the member list and wonder.

I was wondering about Joe Bloe. I thought either A. He got all his posts deleted as punishment or B. He was a test account.

I suspected a test user... I was right.

Katie, I don't know what else to say to that except laugh delightfully.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the most obvious bit: when you click email Joe Bloe, you get Jay's email. So I KNEW test account when I first saw him. Took a while for the rebel bit to click with the green ring thread.

They didn't tell me that, either.

Jay you need to change the Rebel's email address. That's just a give-away! It should be like [email protected]

I could give him one of my dummy emails... I have almost 20 emails to choose from to give him.

I am Hilly, however much I try and tell them my name is Elanhil, they just call me Hilly. But how did I get the job of watching Jay? I can't even see everywhere he goes...but then again only he can see his own little subforum where he and Joe sit and have nice little conversations.

Smushed by inactivity! That thread was my pet project. It just descended to such absurdity that I finally stopped plaguing you all with lyricism. I can keep up with Jaynin at un-rhymed poetry any day of the week. Besides, apparently some people were concerned or annoyed over the dissenting nature of the banter.

20 emails? How do you keep up with them all?

They all feed into one account, so I don't even notice them.

I have something like 9 =P It comes of starting a lot of projects I guess. =)

So it doesn't matter which address I send general emails to, Jay? I have two for you, and if I knew the which address was the right one for the purpose I'd use it, but often I just guess. I have multiple emails, but I have them nicely divided by what aspect of my life they represent.

I give different emails to people based on what they will remember the most easily. If you know more than one, I don't care which one you send it to.

Okay, thank you. I'll stop worrying about it, then. Somehow I managed to get two in my address book, and I wasn't sure which one to use for what.
