Post subject: Where Do We Put Legends?  Posted: November 10th, 2010, 10:36 pm |

I've been thinking about posting some of the legends and myths from my fantasy worlds and was wondering what room would be the best room to post them in. Should I put them in "Chronicles" or "Culture"? I'm not sure where they should go. Any suggestions?

I would say put it in Chronicles. The reason being that the origin of Myths and Legends is traditionally based in historical facts that are distorted as they are passed down through time. Thus, Myths and Legends are history, regardless of their tendency to be more fictional than real historical accounts.

I thought they might also belong in culture, but I wasn't sure.

Culture is more about customs and how people act and why. I would stick with historical references.

I think it depends on your world itself. It could go in either, theoretically. Though I agree with Lady Esmeralda that in general it would go in Chronicles.
