Same song, second verse. What should I name my book?
It's a scifi screwball comedy.

Current name is "Planet Starsky", which sounds a) too Russian, b) too juvenile, and c) doesn't really say much about the story.

I was originally thinking the name of the book should be the name of the planet, since the story revolves so much around the premise of a galactic asylum. But that doesn't leave a lot of options. Maybe like... "Asylum One", or "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Planet". Kidding on that last one...

What about "Psychiatric Society"... too "medical clinic"-sounding?

Probably. I actually like It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Planet. But it might be too close to something that’s copyrighted.

As for suggestions . . . Another angle to try might be fitting the president into the title somehow, since he's a major part of the story. Or to come up with a phrase that describes the hero's unusual situation.

What was your detective character's name? A title in the format of "Detective: [Sci-fi name here]" would get across both the sci-fi and the mystery together.

How about something with "Undercover" in the title?
