In ancient mythology, many tales are told of mortals who deceived gods, and kings tricked by paupers.
While neither god nor king, I have joined in their inglorious fate.

Several weeks ago, I informed Mr. Criost that I would like it if links stood out from the grey slate background of the site more than they do. Someone immediately suggested they be made bright pink. I immediately swore that if Mr. Criost did so, I would turn the Editors pink, so that his group might suffer the same fate as the links.

Then someone else promoted Mr. Criost to HRM, and he became purple instead of blue.

Then Mr. Criost turned links pink. He has now called upon me, as Aragorn called upon the dead without rest, to fulfill my oath.

You may thank Mr. Criost for the bright pink editors.

As the gods and kings of old often did, I shall fulfill my promise. But I never promised to leave them pink. The editors will be restored to their rightful color within a few days.

Mr. Criost, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And I do not like to be ashamed.

You have been nice in keeping your promise, well done sir!

Congratulations to the Editors!

(Fun fact to add to the story, I actually changed the links right before becoming HRM, when I signed on the next morning, I was deeply puzzled by the purple color and wondered if you had seen the changes. )

It's pretty. I am very relieved that blue will be back.

Logged in today for the first time in a long time and was like "Whoa, dude, I'm hot pink....and I'm totally cool with that." At first I thought I needed to go home and rethink my life. ;) :P

Honestly, the color change is kind of refreshing and I wouldn't mind it being permanent. But either is fine with me.

BEHOLD THE JESTER WHO WHISPERED EVIL THOUGHTS OF PINK TO THE WISE CODER

My only lament is that the pink with which my name is now smeared, clashes horrifically with the soft shade of link pink we now possess. :bawl:

And with the soft gray parchment of the background! Though it goes beautifully with the flower in your hat. ;)

This is true... I can get the hex code of the links if you want it Reiyen.

My only other thought would be, should we go all out and make the rings pink too? I could draft something up based off the current ring. ;)

My thought was, "I had better make them blue again."
So I did.
If I am a little off with the blue... help me find the right hex code. Anyone with an old screenshot from Holy Worlds laying around maybe?

It looks fine to me, I'll check the old hex tomorrow though, I've got it lying around somewhere.
