You little rebel, you. ;)

*Peeks through the door*

Remember me?

Probably not. :D

Just thought I would say I was back after a very long break from HW. Almost one year of a break, to be exact. I can't believe it. A lot has happened in the last year or so - some good things, some not so good things.

Here's a little summary:
- I got my first job working at a daycare, and let me tell you, I love it. The kiddos are just TOO CUTE!
- I started my own business. I sell my knitting, crochet, and paintings on Etsy.
- CFS is still kicking my butt, but praise God, He is helping me through it.
- Writing is going well, but I am more focused on my FanFiction than my original work.
- I still can't dance.

Rofl. Alright, that last one was really random, but it's true.

Welcome back! I remember you. :) I'm glad about the good things going on in your life. Did you read any especially amazing books while you were gone?

Hey Jonathan! You're probably the only person who does!

As for books, my goodness...I read a lot so, I probably can't list or remember all of the good ones. I did just finish the Divergent trilogy a couple weeks ago. I've got mixed emotions about it though. Overall though, I liked the story.

How about you? How's your writing going? Good, I hope!

I'd like to read the Divergent trilogy sometime. A few books that stood out to me this year are The Shadow Club (and its sequel, both YA thrillers) by Neal Shusterman, Mr. Standfast by John Buchan, and Wisdom and Wonder by Abraham Kuyper (which is about how Christians should view science and art).

My writing hasn't gone as fast as I'd like, but it's going well aside from that. :) I've mostly been focusing on writing short stories and articles to submit to magazines.

I think you'd find the Divergent Trilogy interesting. The characters really develop over the course of the three books, which I appreciated. Wisdom and Wonder sounds like it could be an interesting book - I'll have to put that on my reading list.

I am not a little rebel! *stomps *

I have probably been off Holy Worlds longer than you have, so welcome and hi!

I have been thinking of reading the Divergent series too...
Have you seen the movies? Do they do the books justice? (at all?)

Yes, I have seen the movies. And no, they don't do them justice. In fact, I thought they butchered "Insurgent" the movie. But I wouldn't say you shouldn't see it, because you may love it.

My usual method is to pretend they made up the story themselves, at least while I watch the movie.

If you can get past the fact that everything good about the movie consists of what they parasitically plundered from the book, and everything bad about it is what they self-conceitedly intruded themselves, they are actually pretty interesting. The good ideas are good ideas after all, even if they are stolen goods and shamefully handled.
Then you can take them to court for their impudence after you have enjoyed the movie.
