Is there any way to hide my real name and my age? I really don't want people seeing it, but I can't figure out how to hide it, and it won't let me erase those fields without telling me those spaces have to be full. And people can't see my email address, can they?

They are required for registration for security purposes. Some are able to be blocked from public viewing on a user-by-user basis, but most are not.

No one but administrators can view your real name, so you need not worry about that.

Your email address is visible currently, but you can block that from your preferences.

Your birth date is visible still, though. I might be able to figure out how to make it so that you can hide it if you want, but that might take some work. It is nice to be able to know how old your friends are, to a degree. If there is a huge concern with that, then I can make it invisible for everyone.

Okay, after thinking about it, I probably need you to hide my age on my profile, if it isn't too much trouble. I'm trying to stay halfway anonymous online, for safety reasons, and I've been feeling like I probably should see about hiding at least the year. The month and day don't matter that much.

Alright. I think what I will do is have two age fields. One is required and visible only to admins, and the other optional and visible to everyone. Sound good?

That sounds good to me. I don't mind just the admins knowing my age. It's just anyone else that knows my username...

Done! Of course, now everyone will have to update their profiles, but they can do that as they wish.
