Papa says you can send cards, and that the rules for the cards are just the same as for the letters.

Neat! I got some nice cards, and thought I couldn't send him one. So I'll send one when I send his letters. :)

Just to be sure, I check the official rules. They restrict cards larger than 8"x10", and padded, musical, electronic, or laminated greeting cards.

There was talk in the other thread about Jay possibly being moved in time for Christmas packages/cards to reach him. With that in mind, when should cards be sent? Do we want to try to get them all in a certain window so they'll arrive all at once?

There is only one Christmas package he can receive, with a lot of restrictions, complications, etc., but y'all can't do anything with it ( :() so I won't try to explain.... But just don't try to send him anything but letters and cards and stuff, cause he won't get it. I just wanted to clarify. :)

I'm planning to send a card, but I'd like to know if other people will be sending cards so I can try to send it to arrive at about the same time. And I have no idea how long it takes for mail to arrive… :/

Sending them all around the same time sounds wonderful, Jordan! I was thinking to send him Never through CreateSpace, would that be fine?

Oh, well, guess a card and a letter will have to do. I know I need to send mine 14 days before the actual date so he can receive it on the day I want him to (ish...because sometimes it takes more or less days). So what date are we targeting? The 25th of December, or another day? :)

I doubt there's mail delivery on the 25th or the 24th… Maybe we should aim for them to arrive near the 23rd?

As for when to send cards, I'm going to aim to send mine by the 17th, preferably sooner, so it'll have plenty of time to get there before Christmas.

That's a good idea to have it all in on the 23rd...which means, I need to send mine this week. :)

I'm going to send mine - I am not sure when. I believe they take about nine days to reach Jay, but then with the Christmas post it might all take longer. So I may just send them when I go to the Post Office with the other letters

Mailed my card yesterday. I hope it gets there in time for Christmas.
