Aubrey mentioned in the Southern Illinois convention thread that there are at least four people who live in Wisconsin. We should get together. I have no idea when or where. Where will depend on who all wants to come and where in WI they live. Although, I believe there are also some people in northern Illinois and possibly Iowa and Minnesota, so we might be able to meet somewhere where all of these people could easily get to.

Let discussions begin!

Thanks for starting this thread! :D

I answered "yes," because a WI convention is plausible for me. It all depends on location and time, of course, but it's plausible. :)

I'm in Neenah. Anything within 2 hours is within reason. Maybe 3-4 hours, but I know my daddy would be willing to drive me at least 2 hours for a day trip if the timing worked out.

Neenah? NEENAH!? We used to drive all the way to Manitowoc when I was younger to visit grandparents! And I've been to Oshkosh multiple times! Why did we not meet sooner in life?! We now have no reason to go down that way :P

If only there was somewhere along the Eau Claire/Wausau area... I'd either be coming from the Lake Superior area or the Twin Cities area, depending on when.

I live about an hour north of La Crosse, WI. And, like Aubrey, I would be willing to go a couple of hours away, but I'm not sure exactly how far I could go.

Vili, I could probably do something around that area. Would Marshfield be too far out of the way. Marshfield is about 2 hours away from both Aubrey and me (like, almost exactly the same distance, how weird is that?). Of course, this could all change depending on who else wants to join us :D.

Marshfield would be about 3 hours if I came from the cities (4-ish from home)... not sure who I'd get to come with me on this kinda trip. I'll hafta see who'd want to come ^_^

Okay. We'll see what other people think and see if we can make it work out somehow. I could probably make it to Wausau, it's just that Wausau is close to three hours away from me, so it would be a bit of a stretch.

Yup, two hours is probably doable for me, as long as it's enough of an event that I can convince my daddy to come with me. ^_^

Well, I guess we will just have to convince him then ;).

So it sounds like we could have at least three people there in person. When would be the earliest anybody could do this? Personally, I think I would have to wait until September sometime. August is just too crazy of a month. If you know of anybody else who would be interested, please summon them or tell them to get over here ;).

September would be the earliest for me, also. Peter's Angel, y'know. :D

Hannah lives in WI. Not sure if she'd want to come, but I'd have to bug her personally in chat. Molly Evangeline and Reiyen also live somewhere in WI.

Bug her then ;). Er, rather, would you please bug her? Should we summon Reiyen and Molly Evangeline or pm them?

I live in WI, yes, but will be going to college in Ohio this semester. If we target a vacation time (December?) I can be around, or else around another of my shorter vacations. My family will be claiming my time around those, though. My vacation starts in early December, so it doesn't have to be right next to Christmas/New Years.

Vili, would Steven's Point be too far away for you? I talked to my mom a bit about it and she said that Steven's Point is in the middle of the state and might be accessible to most people in Wisconsin and possibly even Jordan Smith (who is in Northern Illinois).

Yay! I hope you can find someone. Anyone have a problem with meeting in Steven's Point?

If we are going to try to get together, we should do it soon before the Holiday craziness begins. What October weekends work for y'all? Or would a weekday work better?

Right now my October is pretty open, although I might do some farmer's markets in the early half of the month. *must ask her parents if a hypothetical convention is a hypothetical possibility*

Please vote in the new poll. We need to figure this out soon. Also the location needs to be decided on. Locations that were tossed around:

Wausau
Steven's Point
Marshfield

I would be fine with any of the above locations. Lady Vilisse, Lady Abira, and Jordan Smith are the main people we need to hear from for the location. The sooner we get this organized, the better.

All three of those locations are a little far for me, and I'll be in Georgia most of October, so I think I'll have to say I couldn't make it to such a convention this year. Perhaps next time!

*goes to look for a Georgia convention* :D

Most of those dates would work for me, but my parents don't want me to go unless there are people closer to my age.

Abira, How close in age do your parents want us? I am about 6 years older than you. Would you be able to come to the Stevens Point area? If they really want someone closer to your age there, I could bring my younger sister who is about 1 year younger than you.

That being said, unless someone else speaks up soon, it sounds like it will just be Aubrey and myself meeting in the Stevens Point area.
