Aboard the Science Fiction deck, several of our members have been working on putting together this secret project, which finally we are ready to present to you!

Yes, it's a contest! A drabble contest to be exact! What is a drabble, you may ask? It is a short work of fiction, that is exacly 100 words long.

It is Science Fiction exclusive. This means you must be a member on the Science Fiction forum to join in. (What are you waiting for? ;) Come join up!) The contest will run from the 2nd of May until the 23rd of May.

You can view the rules for the contest on this thread.

Your judges are Aubrey Hansen, Lady Elanor and Captain Nemo. Judging will take place as soon as possible once the contest is officially over.

The prize - There are three placings, First, Second and Third. These will receive a wallpaper background made by our very own Bush Maid - how can you resist possibly winning such a prize?!

Come join, we would love to have you! If you don't, I warn you there will be many pokes and prods coming your way. ;)

Since drabbles are short, we will expect a lot of people to submit entries. ;)

I'm going to submit at least one. :D

I'd forgive you, given the circumstances, if you weren't able to get it submitted, Juliet. Although if you can, I would love to have an entry from you! :D

As far as everyone else goes, though... NO MERCY for not getting an entry in!

I even got Eddy interested. In fact, he's planning on entering. Tonight if possible. Hehehe...

To some people; others counter scariness with an overpowering level of their own scariness. ;)

(Thank you; thank you. *bows*)

Even numbers are cool.

But... seven is a prime number: and those are cool too. :D

And eight... eight is a cubed number! Think of that: a cubed number! Isn't that cool? ^_^

And nine! Have you ever taken a close look at nine? (etc... ;))

Even numbers are cool.

But... seven is a prime number: and those are cool too. :D

And eight... eight is a cubed number! Think of that: a cubed number! Isn't that cool? ^_^

And nine! Have you ever taken a close look at nine? (etc... ;))

Hear, hear!

Come on, guys, even I entered, and I don't enter such contests. :D

Hear, hear! Even I entered, and I don't even write (or read, for that matter) sci-fi! It isn't that hard, really! And as others have said, it's only 100 words.

Hilarious.

To some people; others counter scariness with an overpowering level of their own scariness. ;)

(Thank you; thank you. *bows*)

Ah yes, but the thing is, you are not scary at all. ;)

You're... Welcome, I guess...

Come on y'all. Enter one. Be like this:  ( ;) )

I entered one as well. I rarely do contests as well.

Bravo to everyone who already entered!

Or eighteen... Eighteen is two times nine... And that's how old I am... And that's how many I posted. ;)

 Wow, Mark. Just... Wow...

I would also like to mention that the accumulation of just some of Mark's posts in this thread alone have added up to over 100 words. So instead of posting about why you aren't submitting a drabble yet, why don't you just save your time and words and post 'em?

Awwwwww. :D Thanks you guys! *huggles Aubrey and Shorty until they both go *

So, now that everyone knows us judges will use infallible logical means to ensure you post at least one drabble, you better do it!  *glares with that scary mommy eye* :dieshappy:
