While puttering around the homepage, I've noticed a few little navigation issues and could-be-betters. The Historical Fiction logo on the main page drop-down menu says "Sci-Fi". Also, the blog, podcast, and art gallery pages have no "back button" that takes you to the homepage. This sort of feature would be wonderful because it's a hassle to retype the main page URL whenever you want to go back. |

Yea we noted the Sci Fi for Historical option on the Sci Fi Holy Worlds, but it hasn't been fixed yet. It would be awesome if the HW sign on the gallery, blog etc, would take you to the Holy Worlds homepage. |

Lady Elanor wrote: Yea we noted the Sci Fi for Historical option on the Sci Fi Holy Worlds, but it hasn't been fixed yet. Ah, okay. I didn't see it in the Known Issues post so I figured I'd mention it. Lady Elanor wrote: It would be awesome if the HW sign on the gallery, blog etc, would take you to the Holy Worlds homepage. That could work...then the navigation would be consistent with the forums. If it was done that way, we'd need another button on all those pages that takes you to the main page of that page. (Like the HW logo on the Art Gallery would take you to the homepage, and there would be another button in the AG to take you to the AG main page.) |

Yeah...the sci-fi thing needs to be fixed. I'm still trying to get the correct files from Dieki I don't totally understand your ideas about the sign-in, really. Could you elaborate? The back-button, also, I don't totally understand...can't you just use your browser's? Andrew |

Actually, the blog does have a button that takes you to the forums. The HW logo at the top of the forums takes you to the homepage, Andrew; that's what I meant by 'the sign' I just didn't explain it well. Would it be easy to make the Art Gallery HW logo take you to the homepage? |

I was thinking that the big HW logos on the blog, podcast, and Art Gallery pages could link back to the homepage, like the similar logos on the forums do. Then we'd need another button on all those pages that would take you to the main page of that part of the site (blog, podcast, AG). Using your browser's back button becomes a hassle if you've visited several pages and then want to get back to the homepage. Does that make sense? |
