I was reading over the new rules and found some possible typos. Just though I should report them so they can be fixed if needed. :salute:

Rules in 'Guide Lines for Content and Conduct', Under Use of Substitute Swear Words wrote:
On this same vein, while substitute swear words or words related to swear words, will not be immediately edited out, we do discourage the usage of them if at all possible.

See the comma I made red? I don't think it should be there.

And the other one, in that same paragraph:
Rules in 'Guide Lines for Content and Conduct', Under Use of Substitute Swear Words wrote:
Please consider this when using substitute swear words or the like

That last sentence appears to be in need of a period. All the other rules have periods except that one.

Great job on the new rules, guys and gals of the ML team. :D

I noticed that, oddly enough, some of the symbols aren't popping in - things like apostrophes and copyright symbols.

Other than that and the things Az brought up, they look great! :salute:

By the way Az, thanks for posting this - I read the rules, and though "oh, typos" and then forgot because I didn't know where to post them. ;)

The first item under "Art Gallery Rules" is word-for-word identical to the first item under the avatar criteria/rules, including beginning with "All avatars should ..."

Same for me; I suspect this is a platform issue on our side, but at root caused by the use of "smart quotes" and symbols being directly pasted in. (For non-ASCII symbols that have designated HTML repreentations, like the copyright symbol ... isn't that what the [ e ] BBCode tag is for?)

You're welcome. I wasn't sure either at first, but then thought Q&A would be good.

Yes, writing them in word, and then pasting them into a regular document can do that. It's better to use the regular -,',", and the ascii code for the copyright sign. That's all that needs to be done to fix those.

@kingjon: The Art Gallery rules are...a bit of a mess at the moment. But duly noted :D
