On a forum I previously joined (with thousands of members) they had a bit of text at the bottom of the board index (relative to just between the bottom link for Forum Index and Who is Online) showing the day's birthdays and links to the members who were having the birthdays. I thought (if it was possible) it would be neat to have that here, since no one goes around looking at profiles to determine whose birthday it is. |

However, I don't think this is a very complex thing - in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this was already in the forum's code, and just needed to be implemented (forum's=phpBB's), as I've seen it before. Later, for our hero... Alright, I've looked into it some, and it seems as though I may be correct. I suggest searching around the forum settings and such for things relating to birthdays. I don't think this needs to be coded in extra (however, I could be wrong). God bless Joel ><>. |

Ok, I was wandering around a certain room, and I found this setting: Board Features wrote: Allow birthdays: Allow birthdays to be entered and age being displayed in profiles. Please note the birthday list within the board index is controlled by a separate load setting. It is set at No, don't allow. I wonder if this has something to do with it. |

I don't know if that's it or not - it doesn't sound like it, though (again, could be wrong; I've never been behind-the-scenes of a phpBB forum before). Are there any other settings related to birthdays (also, it may require someone of higher rank - don't know)? God bless, Joel ><>. |

I turn that off as one of the first things I do whenever I start a forum. We've decided in the higher levels to not activate this feature on the forums. If you want to change this, we can review it, but I have disabled it again until further notice. |
