Okay, guys. E, Jay, and I will be conducting a very informal couch discussion. No, we will not all be on the same couch, but you get the idea of the feel of the podcast, right? :D

So, we want to know what ya'll want to ask about E's book, how we write certain types of scenes, how would we deal with certain subjects, and just general writing questions. We will have some of our own we want to deal with in the podcast, but we also want to open the floor up for you guys. So now is your chance.

Speak now or forever hold your peace. ;)

A question for Lady E... I heard that your book is quite long (in the vicinity of 200,000 words). Has it always been that long? How are you managing a book that long? Are you planning on publishing it as one book, or are you considering splitting it? Why would you split it, and how?

If you use that question, you can combine/mangle/rewrite the various points in a variety of ways depending on what you have time for... I just know her book is very long, and I'm curious how she's dealing with that. :D Yes, I have personal reasons for asking. :P

My only question that I have (and have ever had) for Lady E is "Can I read your book? Now? Please? :beg: ". That's probably not a valid question for a podcast. :P

It is not, no. I can answer that for her, as I do not have my full copy yet. ;)

I have a question. It sounds like E's novel is quite the epic. :) Did she ever feel like she'd lost the plot at some point in the middle, and have to go back and restart a little earlier? Or did she just edit it all when the work was all finished, and not rework scenes whilst writing? If that makes sense. :P

*laughs at the thought of E reading all this*
I'm curious about her influences. What made her decide to start writing? How did her book evolve? What books, authors, and movies influenced her writing style, plot, and life philosophy?

I'd like to know about all of y'all's writing process. (We can ask you and Jay questions too, right? :D ) Do you outline? Panst it? How much development do you do before you start writing? Once you've started writing, do you just plough through, or do you go back and edit as you write?

*can't wait to hear this podcast* :D

Yes, Jay and I will also be involved in the general discussion (we don't have to ask all the questions this time), so questions can be addressed to us, too.

Right, but if you're curious about my worlds or stories.... I might avoid the question because the answers are a bit long. ;)

*chuckles because this does not surprise her *

I think the focus is more on writing in general, however, we are featuring E's book as well in order to whet your curiosity. :D So Jay and I will probably not talk about our books anymore than we do in a normal podcast. We’ll stick to generalized writing, using aspects of our own writing as examples. :D

Descriptions would be a good topic for writers to discuss.

Well, since you need more questions...

Do you write longhand or on a computer? Where do you get most of your writing done (where are you when you write)?

Do you listen to music while writing? Does it help? What kind of music?

Do you outline?

Philli wrote:
Do you outline?

I've done a little looking into outlining and discovered that two distinct outlines can be vastly different in structure and in the benefits that can be gained from the outline (though, the latter has a lot to do with a person's personality as well).

So, if the answer to that question is 'yes', I would also ask 'What type of outline do you use?'/'What way is your outline structured?' and 'What ways do you benefit from using outlines?'

*drafts her questions and outlines * Well, if that is all, I shall work on all my additional questions.

Thank you for participation, guys. This podcast will be recorded January 23rd or 24th, and editing normally takes about 2 weeks, so expect it after that. :D
