Good! I would suggest a little intro and some description of the different questions. |

No answer to your question Inesdar, but to ROTW... What you have is good, but it could use some more substance -- more questions, etc. I've made up some questions of my own for the process, and I think we should include some of those (hope I don't sound presumptuous. Here's an example of one of my races run through the questions I made up. The scales are from 1 to 5. Subject: Raechal Physical: _______________ Eyes _______________ Color: Green, Blue, Hazel Deep-set: No Pupil shape: Oval _______________ Hair _______________ Texture: Soft Thickness: 2 1/2 Shine: 3 Length: Varies Facial: Mild Color: Predominantly black ________________ Nose ________________ Shape: Sharp, slightly turned-up Prominence: 3 _________________ Ears _________________ Shape: Cupped and slightly pointed Location: High on the head _________________ Skin _________________ Color: Dark, fades to light as they age Thickness: 2 1/2 Opacity: 3 1/2 Scarring: 4 Quickness of Healing: 3 1/2 __________________ Face __________________ Expression Readability: 4 Forehead: High Cheekbones: Prominent Jawline: Varies Chin Prominence: 2 1/2 __________________ Build __________________ Height: Average 4' 11" to 5' 11" Delicacy: 3 1/2 Limbs: Short and thin but surprisingly strong General: Thin, lithe and short but with more stamina than you would expect _________________ Senses _________________ Sight: 3 Touch: 3 Hearing: 4 1/2 Taste: 2 Smell: 2 1/2 _________________ Intolerances/Weaknesses _________________ Claustrophobia Very loud noises _________________ Movement _________________ Speed: 3 Grace: 2 1/2 Agility: 3 Strength: 3 Stamina: 4 _________________ Magic _________________ Ease: 2 Sustainability: 4 ________________ Talents ________________ Taming animals I understand that 1) I'm only scratching the surface 2) this system may not work for everyone and 3) that it doesn't go very well with your current system. But if we could find some way to combine them... *shrug* I dunno, just some suggestions. And I also understand that my post is a bit long, but considering Jay's post on fractalling I don't feel that bad. :P |

So are y'all working on some amazing process to combine these two race-making things? I was pretty impressed by both, but the part that stuck out to me was the rating system that Lady Eruwaedhiel made...kind of like cards in a trading game :P And Raven, are you working on any books other than the Robin Hood one, since that really doesn't have races per se? I'm curious...I don't have time to click on your links but I do remember skimming one of them from reading your blog but I can't remember if I saw anything about a new book. eruheran |
