A lot of you have probably noticed that I really am not the kind of guy who likes to string dozens of smileys in a row.

Well, I am not, in case you didn't notice.

However, I do love smileys. I love to use them tastefully to help supplement the lack of emotion in plain text, and as such, I tend to use one at the end of every paragraph. ;)

But I have also seen a ton of ridiculous, nausea inducing smileys in my forum making career. So I tend to remove the vast majority of smileys on every forum I come to, and install a very minimalistic set of my own. That is what we have had here for the entire life of Holy Worlds...

Until now.

On request, I have added nine new smileys to our forum. Four of which I have made myself. By my own self. Just for you.

Here they are:  :P :pale:

Pretty cool, eh?

And for the Birthday Party, I have officially raised the limit on smiley usage from seven to nine. Speaking of which, I need to announce that I made it so that you can't put more than seven in a post (Mainly to avoid long, distracting strings of smileys that don't really fit with the theme of the forum). :P

Anyways, enjoy your new smileys! Dragon Egg

You made them yourself! That is so fun.

I do love this guy:  I've never seen anything quite like him. He's cute.

Thank you so much for the gift, Sir!

Sir Emeth, you aren't a smily person? I didn't notice.

Thanks for the new smilies! I love 'em. This one looks like it came from the scifi forum; , because of that pointy chin.

My favs are  , :book: , and of course, :P .

:D

He is a smiley person. Just not the kind that puts a bunch in a row...

Like he wouldn't do that.

Even though I don't use many smiley faces Sir Emeth, thank you. I like this one :P (Eruheran and I were hoping for that one) especially.

:grins madly: I thought you said you were going to keep smilies to a minimum... but I don't mind at all! Those are awesome! Thanks, Sir Emeth! I was hoping for this one as well: :P It is so cute! ;) With these new smilies, I think I can live with the seven (or nine?) smilie rule. ;)

::waits (im)patiently for Jaynin's story...::

I'm figuring; since this thread was originally in announcements and I moved it to the birthday room, I can take it out of the birthday room and move it back here. :D

A general note on the subject of the PMing system. Originally, we did now want the smiley limit to extend to the PMing system. what you say in your private messages and how many smileys you use is your business. :D

No. I can't limit that anyways. Haha. We recommend, however, that we act in PMs the same way we would act in public anyways. Just we don't enforce it. :)

However, you'll exclaim, there is a limit on the PMing system! Well... yes. we're looking into that. I just wish to take it upon myself to clarify that we never intended that. :D Further updates will come when there are further updates to make.
