I think this was for suggesting published authors though, which I am not. ;)

Not necessarily. This is for suggesting authors who have something to teach on. E will be being interviewed before long, and she is not published at this point. :D That’s why I want to know what people want their suggestions to talk about.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

Okay, so I have Brock Eastman's podcast being set up at the moment. That will be with me and Nemo. Then Bethany Faith is tentatively set up. We are still ironing out the details, which will be finalized when she returns. And E, Jay, and I will have an informal General Writing podcast coming out (announcement on that will be made soon).

This is very off topic, however, and I would prefer to return to the subject at hand. :)

Philli, if need be, I shall use my persuasive powers on Cammie. ;)

So, currently I have an interview set with E Wednesday. Bethany is sending her books and will be scheduled thereafter. I have Brock on the list, still finalizing a date with him and his schedule, Randy Blackwell is being negotiated, and Daniel Schwabauer and I have just about set a date.

Luke Alistar is trying to hook me up with Ted Dekker, and Raven of the Wood is trying to get an author she knows to get in touch with me.

We are doing well, guys. :D

Anyone else have an idea?

Nope, I was thinking Mr. Davis would be a good option. I should get his contact info and send him an e-mail...

He wrote the 100 cupboards trilogy, and is writing the Ashtown Burials series. And there's Leepike Ridge and Notes from the Tilt-a-Whirl, for something a little less fantasy. :)

Ah! That is why he sounds familiar. Does anyone have his contact info, or should I work on hunting him down?

Airi, has Craig Gordon contacted you yet? If not, I can hunt down his email address for you.

I wonder if it would be possible to get Ridley Pearson on the podcast. He's the co-author of the Peter and the Starcatchers series (which is turning into a Broadway play now). He's also author of the Kingdom Keepers series which is AMAZING. He's written tons more books I have not read, too. Here's his contact page: http://www.ridleypearson.com/adventure/contact/

I'd be willing to contact him, but I'm not sure if I should contact Mr. Pearson himself or if I should contact the person in charge of setting up school times to set up... I suppose starting with Mr. Pearson would be best.

Edit: I don't know if Mr. Pearson is a Christian or not... but I wouldn't think that would be a problem for the podcast, would it?

I'd LOVE an N.D. Wilson podcast. :D

A couple of suggestions...
--Andrew Peterson (who is currently on tour at the moment, but he might be able to do it sometime later this year)

--The Winter's Writing War winners or judges. That would be cool. The winners could talk about their inspiration for the piece, etc. And the judges could vent about having to choose, if need be. ;)

*would be very interested in having Ridley Pearson* I'd love to ask his take on writing collaboratively, since he co-authored Peter and the Starcatchers.

Very good ideas, guys. I'll come back to them. Right now I'm booked 3 or 4 *can't remember * Podcasts out, so once I get a bit closer to the end of the tunnel, I'll come look more closely into these suggestions. :D

Hey, I know you're probably booked right now, but for a future podcast, I have another recommendation. He's a published author, though it's business related, not fiction. But he's an incredible writer, and I have a really close connection to him. He has a LOT of good information about publishing and tons of good tips in writing. He has his own radio show and appears on Fox Business a lot. He is also a minister.

His name is Scott Kays. He's the president of Kays Financial Advisory Corporation. Would you like me to hook you up with him? I've already asked if he'd like me to suggest him for the podcast, and he said yes.

And, would you like me to see if I can get Ridley Pearson, too? Or are we going to wait on him? I'm going to meet him in about a month, so maybe I should try and ask him in person? *shrugs* Whatever you prefer.

Haha. I'll talk with Mom, but I'm thinking I'll probably email him as he'd most likely be too busy to answer at the book signing.

Edit: I've emailed his speaking Agent. I'll let you know when she responds.

Edit 2: Wow, they're fast at responding. :D Here's what they said:
Ridley's Agent wrote:
Thank you for checking into Ridley Pearson for your Podcast. Unfortunately, he does not have time to do the podcast until May and then can only do about 15 minutes.

If you would like to check back in May if 15 min. will work, please do. If not, we appreciate you considering him. Take care!

Lisa

Although it's a small window if time, I think we should take it. It would be an incredible opportunity to have Ridley on the podcast (he is a best selling author). Although you may only be able to ask him a few questions and it would be a shorter podcast, I think it would be advantageous to do it.

Thoughts?

Edit Thrice: I would like to request that if we do end up having Ridley Pearson on the podcast, that I get to co-host that episode. It's OK if you would rather me not, but I wanted you to know that I'd love to do it. *loves Pearson's books*
