I just wanted to toss this idea out there. I know we're working on the anthology and majillions of other projects, but I think a second poetry book down the road could be a good thing :)

*hand shoots up* I second the idea!

I think this would be an awesome idea because we would have more members that might be willing to contribute to the volume, and also those who have already contributed would have become a lot more accomplished at writing poetry (speaking from experience, I'd love to replace the ones I put in the first copy :P) and thirdly, one can never have enough poetry. :D

I am in favor and completely agree with all the above points.

Maybe we could focus on all three genres in the second book? Maybe by the time this has come around I'll have written something.

Good, I'm not the only one. Although your current poetry skills blow any former subpar-ness out of the water. o.O But I shan't derail. ;)

I was a little sad I didn't know about the poetry book in time to submit anything. So I am very interesting in this! :dieshappy:

I saw a Kindle preview the other day, and I believe Bushy, Elly and Andrew's poems were all there, and I remember thinking how beautiful their poetic language was. No more disparaging! ;)

Thanks for mentioning this, Andrew! :dieshappy:

I, er, sixth the idea, or wherever we're at. :D I wish I could have submitted to the first book, and I want some of my friends to get more of theirs published.

This'd be tons of fun. :D I think we should do something else first, though. But when the time comes I'll be around. :)

I'd also like to suggest that it'd be neat to either a) include all three genres or, perhaps even better, b) focus an anthology around HF or SF.

Also, remember that any of y'all are welcome to organize an anthology of your own and publish it under your name/brand/whatever at any time. I want to do an anthology of my own organizing sometime. :)

I, too, heartily concur with this suggestion. I was ... well, "dismayed" is too strong :), but that gives you the idea ... when I found, soon after I joined, that Holy Worlds was producing a poetry anthology, but that it was far too late to submit anything.

But if there was a "Poetry Book 2.0," I'd have to decide which of my vast collection of poems I wanted to submit (unless it was decided to disallow "previously published" material, even if "publication" was just on my blog).

(And if someone else decides to start such an anthology, as has been decided, I hope you'll let me know ...)

Guys... I don't want to squash any enthusiasm here, but this is what my schedule currently looks like:

2012 - Fantasy Music Project
2013 - Holy World's Anthology
2014 - Science Fiction Music Project

Which leaves you in 2015.... although by then maybe we'll have our act together enough to do two projects in 2014, and you could argue your way up the line, but either way it'll be two years before I'll even remotely consider another poetry book. Unless we move ahead of schedule, which would be really nice, but unlikely, because the music project is creeping along at a snail's pace.

Which is to say... take your energy over to the current project, would you? Please? We have our whole lives ahead of us, and I promise there will be future poetry books, anthologies, and new things we've yet to think of but we need to take it all one. step. at. a. time. :D

I understand, Vanya. And by that time we will probably have lots of new poetry written.

I can try to speed along the fantasy music project, though I am not musical... *Goes over there to see if there is anything she can do*

If is this an okay time to ask, what is the Holy World's Anthology? :P

I'm not musically inclined, so I can't be of help there. XD

The anthology is a little too far away to brainstorm, so right now I'm in the dream stage for this. ;)

Short story collection. That's all we know about it. :D We keep throwing out ideas, and then shooting them down because we're not ready for it yet... but I've promised myself that it's the next thing on the agenda. :D

Azlyn, you don't need to be musical to help. One of the primary things we need right now is pokers. Keep people moving. Get people to come in and help. Specifically right now what we need is songs. It shouldn't be this hard to come up with song submissions... I have dozens, but I'm reluctant to offer any of my own until I give other people a chance and see what sort would fit in.

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:
