Okay, guys, I'm not going to be wordy today. I'm just going to spit it out.

The blog needs posts.

I have not made the schedule yet, if anyone noticed, because I have been filling by the week. We don't have enough blog posts in queue for me to be able to do a whole schedule.

I think we can often forget that the blog needs us to keep writing for it because our system works so well. However, without continued care, the system can break down.

So, I am making a call for blog posts. Some of you have posts that are promised to me, and I am requesting that those be finished and sent in. Everyone else... it's summer break. Do you think you can write at least one blog post for me?

Please let me know in this thread if you will be able to write something. If the content of the blog post could be controversial then feel free to send it to me for a look over, as always, but any other posts should be sent to My Little Elf (Aubrey Hansen) to place in my storage vault. She is very good about taking the utmost care of your pieces and insuring they don’t get lost in my inbox.

What kind of blog posts are you looking for? Would book reviews or book excerpts work?

Book reviews do work, so long as they have not been posted by you elsewhere. Story excerpts do not work, unless they are a glimpse at a book an author is getting ready to publish (basically like a pre-release type thing). However, short stories do work, like Sir Emeth posted (The Hunt). Also, a serial story would work.

Sorry about that. Let me answer your first question.

All types, to be honest. General writing posts, tips and tricks, expertise on a particular subject (Evening's post on how to write believable horses in fiction, for example), theology related posts about how to write something, how to make maps, how to write realistic battle scenes.... basically, you name it, I want it, so long as it is writing related in some way. Even just a post about the trends we now see in publishing and the pros and cons of those would be desired.

I will put this on my to-do list, and hopefully shall not forget.

Nope, your piece has been taken care of, Elanor, not to worry. I just can't handle a bunch of submissions at the moment, which is why I am having you guys send new stuff to Aubrey.

Nemo... the last pm I received from you about the blog was that you would have the 4 posts ready for me in about 5 weeks. I don't have any posts.

Well... the only thing I can figure is that my storage unit ate it... Philli, do you see it in the unit? The only way it wouldn't be in my inbox files is if I deleted it, and I only delete them after I have stored them...

I'm insanely busy at the moment but when I get some breathing space I'll see what else I can dig out for you.

I did send out a buzz to people, and I had 8 people say they would send me something, so we were in the clear, at that point. Unfortunately, it seems like everyone was very busy at the same time (beginning of the year tends to do that, I think) so only one person was able to give me their post. Which is why this has now had to go viral.

Could you send Fear of Falling to Aubrey, Katie, so we can stick it in the file for scheduling? I appreciate it.

Clarification for all involved... if a draft of your post isn't in the submissions gdocs folder, it doesn't get scheduled. So if I've sent a post back to you for revisions, or you haven't sent me a complete draft yet, it's not on the schedule. Only when I file it does Airianna know it exists and it gets scheduled.

I'm not seeing anything from Nemo in the submissions folder, but I'm filing the article she sent this morning as we speak.

I don't think I have anything worthy of the blog at present. My sister (Camille Esther) was planning on doing a series for it, but she's gone for a month right now.
