Howdy, gang!
I'm sure you noticed some changes around here. What used to be a big, happy jumble of threads called 'General Discussion' has now been divided into two organized (but still happy!

) sections:
-General Discussion
-Writing Discussion
"Wait!" you might say. "Didn't we already have a kind of Writing Discussion? Wasn't it called Village Lore?"
Yes. No. Maybe... well, let's take a bit of a closer look, shall we?
Village Lore is a place where we can "discuss and share about things that we have learned" in ways that "might help other writers to improve their skill and style in writing for the glory of God". Writing Discussion is where you can post threads that are about General Discussion topics related to writing. Here’s a more in-depth overview.
See, Writing Discussion is for the general threads about writing. Village Lore is for specific writing topics. Village Lore would host Writing Tips, so how to choose a title for your book, how many words you should have per chapter, Showing versus Telling and so on.
Writing Discussion is where you would post ‘You know you’re a crazy writer when...’ and ‘Favourite Narnia Books!’ or chatter about NaNoWriMo. It’s about writing in general. Chatter about writing themed topics that don’t fit in Village Lore, and are normally posted in General Discussion, will now go in this room.
General Discussion was rather busy.

So this was our solution.
If you aren’t sure where to post something then feel free to bob the Moderator of the relative section a PM, and ask them where they think it fits best.
A big thanks to Elly who helped writing this up.
