Greetings and felicitations, friends and subjects,

You have probably noticed my relatively common absences from the forum in the last couple months due to trips up to Dublin. You have also probably noticed my complete and absolute busyness in recent weeks. These two are connected.

God has brought me into a new, exciting, and scary stage of my life. He has answered the prayers of many people, and blessed me tremendously.

I have a job.

(For those of you who know about my job situation, no this won't get me a green card/work permit directly... it's complicated, so pm or email me for more info if you're curious, haha.)

And it's in Dublin.

So I've been living in Dublin for the past three weeks or so. I've moved from Cork to Tallaght, a suburb of Dublin. This is hard on me and my family, but God is carrying us through. Prayer is appreciated for us dealing with being apart.

So what am I doing?

I am running the office and website (it isn't live yet, as it is still in prog) of a live-in home for addicted men: Reformer's Unanimous Ireland. I do a lot of other stuff here as well, of course, but that's my main job description. The home is a ministry based on Reformer's Unanimous, and is an offshoot ministry of Lifegate Baptist Church. It is a tremendous, powerful ministry which is radically changing lives and setting people free. It is very hands on, and it has a direct impact on people for salvation and liberty. I am tremendously excited to be able to be here.

So what does this mean for you?

Well as most of my friends have already noticed, it's a ton harder to get a hold of me in chat. It's not impossible, but difficult. That will improve, because the main reason it's difficult is that my whole schedule has changed, and I'm having to realign with everyone. I am on later than before, so there is actually more time available to chat me. And I'm almost always on the computer.

The main difficulty is that I am constantly on call. I am having to constantly hop up to deal with people and stuff like that, so I don't have time to say even brb or ttyl. I also have no clue how long it will take for me to get back each time I leave. So don't get offended, and please, please don't think this means I'm too busy to talk to you. I'm not. If I am, I won't answer. But chat me anyway. Or send me an email. Emails are good.

I'm super busy with all kinds of things, but I'm still working on the forums and I will definitely be more active in future. Everything's a bit crazy right now, but the schedule will settle. Hopefully. Haha.

Wow, that sounds like a really hard job though, Jay, emotionally it must be hard sometimes but very rewarding. I pray God will bless it for you, I am so glad you got the job! I know how hard it is to live away from home and will pray for you all with that.

Yes, it is hard. We have new guys coming in and guys leaving all the time. It's a burden both ways, but only one really comes with a reward you can see. Seeing people change is an incredible, amazing, exciting thing. Seeing people reject God and go back into addictions which they know will kill them... yeah. It's heartbreaking.

Wow. God is so good. I hope God blesses you in your job, it does sound very challenging. All of the HWers stand behind you on this! I'll have to PM you sometime and see how you're coming.

I pray that God will give you the strength, endurance, and wisdom needed in your job. While you're busy with life, don't worry about the forum -- the ringed ones will keep everyone in line (including themselves ).

The forums will be fine, Jay. You do what you need to do.
