*sighs * Well, I knew this day would come, I just hoped it wouldn’t be this soon.

You all know that I have been a miserly hoarder of blog posts ever since I took over the HW blog. I schedule your posts out 2 months in advance, and then collect more as I go.

The blog’s new system has been up and working beautifully since March 17th, and I am very happy to say we have not only flooded the once stagnant blog with posts, but have also had at least one post ever week (save the couple weeks when I was gone and forgot to ask Philli to take care of it for me). In fact, we not only have one post a week, we now have two!!! However, this doesn’t just happen. This takes a good bit of behind the scenes work and cooperation from you guys.

So, with all that said, I have an announcement to make.

I am shutting down the blog!

Now you’re all awake, aren’t ya? ;) Okay, in all seriousness, the Hoarder has nothing more to hoard. It is a sad and tragic thing, and she feels very deprived, but it is true. In plain English, this means I am now out of my stock of blog posts. Everything you see in the new schedule is what is planned for the HW blog. Nothing else is written, or can be scheduled.

Sounds great, right? We have 2 months of blog posts, we are doing good. You’re right, we are. But we won’t be if people don’t start working on new blog posts to fill up my nest egg.

Now to the serious part of my post. All that above was my silly, I’m going to motivate you and encourage you, part. Now the kill-joy Airi is speaking.

The HW blog is an invaluable resource to us and our community at large. As you probably know, the HW blog is viewable by the public. I and my lovely little elf/partner Philidelphia, are looking for capable writers to help contribute submissions for the blog (http://www.holyworlds.org/blog/ ).

This is actually one of the big reasons why the HW blog is so important. It doesn’t just get your name out there. It gives HW a credible name, telling the world that we are fantasy writers dedicated to solid writing for the glory of Christ. In fact, did you know that I have researched topics before and a HW blog post came up on the search? Talk about some unsuspecting people possibly stumbling onto what we are saying.

The nature of these submissions is broad. The blog can feature short stories, drabbles, poems, and articles, to name a few. Anything that falls into the fantasy and Sci-Fi genres, as well as pieces on general writing topics, are encouraged, so long as they maintain and represent the standards of Holy Worlds. There is a lot of freedom in writing a blog post. If you have an idea that you’re not sure about, show us. The worst we could say is no. ;) If you’re having trouble thinking of suitable ideas, feel free to ask– we would love to help you develop an idea.

So, I’m asking you guys to start churning out some new ideas and blog posts for me. I love seeing them pour into the Super Secret Folder, waiting for me to schedule them every 2 months. Remember though, the blog should be fun! I designed this system so no one felt overburdened or got stressed by it. Take some of the energy that is very prevalent here on the Forum, and channel it into an essay/article format. Instead of addressing a subject to one person, change it so that it is addressing anyone/everyone. Look at some of the amazing threads we’ve created (are dragons evil, subjects concerning magic, how to address God in fantasy, should we write on Sundays). This is the kind of stuff we should be putting on the blog in a submissions format. If everyone adds a little then this won't be a burden that falls on only a couple of people.

I would like to ask all of you to really consider joining this effort. I want to see our blog represented by the multitude, and not just a few. If you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to send myself or Philadelphia a message. We’re here to support our members and we love getting to work with them! Please pray about, and consider, this opportunity. We would value your contribution.

In Christ,

Airianna

P.S. You all know I will poke certain ones of you if I don’t get much response from this. Be very afraid, I will flood inboxes again. I intend to get my posts at all costs! *wicked cackle *

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

You guys always make me so proud!

:D Due to the multiple submissions sent in by all of you, we have been able to fill the blog for the next three months!

I would especially like to thank Katie for committing to write an entire 5 part series, which was no small undertaking. :D

Now, we are ahead of the game, right now, but I want to make sure we don't grow too comfortable there. After the three month period is up, we will be out of blog submissions. So when you find yourself in need of a writing project, think of our lovely blog, would ya? :D

:D Keep up the good work guys! I'm loving the fact that you are facilitating my blog hording habit. ;)

Can you tell I’m so excited an proud of you all? I used a lot of smileys. :D

*points to top post * We aren't to this point yet, but if I can't satisfy my hording habits before long, we will be. I am covered, thanks to Milly's new submission, to the end of February of 2012. After which time, we have no more blog posts.

Now, I know that seems like a ways away, but with holidays and other things, it really isn't. So, I am here to razz you all for more blog posts. :D

*razzes and tussles people's hair just for the fun of it *

Discussion can be had here.
