Hey y'all! Things have been pretty quiet around here, even with the sudden surge of Crystal Falls activity, so here's some more stuff. This guy will be the main character I work with in regards to Crystal Falls at this point. Might bring Red Rider back at a later point, but really not feeling her stories or what her stories used to be. But this is my new one. He's a lot different, essentially a revamp of an old NaNo YWP role-playing character that I really enjoyed writing and missed, so I started playing with ideas again and rebuilt him from the ground up. He's pretty interesting, but still missing something, and I'm not at all sure what that it is. -------------------- Name: Jack "Ace" Cleary D.O.B: 4/20/99 P.O.B: Minneapolis, Minnesota Parents: Heather "Iceflare" Cleary (Maiden Name: Williamson) & Matthew "Starblaze" Cleary [Both incarcerated in Crystal Falls Dynamic Prison- life without parole] Dynamic Status: Dynamically Gifted- Probability Manipulation & Potential Psionic Abilities Home Address: Previously multiple foster homes, current whereabouts unknown, presumably the streets [High Risk Probability] Bio: Jack's parents, infamously known as Minneapolis crime duo Iceflare and Starblaze, were two dynamically gifted individuals known for their string of robberies and high-profile contract murders over a series of approximately ten years until they were taken down in an ambush by Federal agents, presumably Project Vigilance operatives. As a further safeguard to prevent Jack from manifesting any abilities and following in his parent's foot-steps, Project Vigilance removed him from the Twin Cities area and placed him in the foster care system in and around Crystal Falls, thinking someone would adopt and raise him properly, given his parents earlier abuse and negligence. Unfortunately, given the high profile of his parents, most people were too scared to adopt him, worried they would find themselves raising a sociopath. As a result, he ended up bouncing around foster homes of various quality ranging from great to horrible and ended up seeing many of the rougher aspects of the foster care system- including abuse, substance use, and abuse. He was never sure how to respond to all that and was scared of who he might become, as he knew who his parents were and what they had done. His greatest secret fear was that his parents would escape and come to find him. He didn't want to be with them- wanted nothing to do with them, in fact. What he enjoyed was card games and magic tricks, picking those up as a hobbies and practicing them constantly when he could. As he grew older, while the Safe Zone began to disintegrate, he found that he was brilliant at card games involving probability and tricks happened naturally without him even doing the preparation. Not always, but more often than they normally would. Then at 16, he had had enough and ran off to live off the streets, busking at corners and performing at clubs to make enough money to live off of, and sleeping in homeless shelters and camps, eventually probably ending up at the Christian ministry we've bounced around, but always drifting around the city. It's during this time that he begins to realize that he does have Dynamic abilities and that they're controllable. Much to his relief, they are not flashy dangerous ones like his parents, but a subtle one that works well for helping people. So as he drifts around the city, he does good deeds and some small crime-fighting. Nothing physical, but manipulating odds, so a criminal's equipment breaks or a SWAT van just happens to drive by a crime scene. Things that otherwise would never have happened, but with his influence, happen easily. --------------------------- That's really all I have for now, but I am considering eventually having him grow up into more psionic abilities of some sort that I'm still still tossing around. Don't know what that will be yet, but I don't need to have it all figured out right now. |

Very cool! Where did his parents end up being held? Was it in the Negation Zone prison? |
