Weekly Challenge #252: Write about something that bends a cliche. For example: a princess rescues the prince who is locked up in the tower, a young man mentors an older man in sword fighting, etc.

Directions:
1. Post on the challenge thread, declaring the goals you have committed to. This must be done before midnight on Monday.
2. When you have finished your goals, post on the challenge thread again, stating what goals you have completed, how many times you have completed them, and whether any of them were combined.
3. At midnight on Saturday you are not allowed to report any more finished goals, and the challenge is over.

Rules:
1. You can repeat the weekly challenges, and get more points, but if you repeat your own personal goal, you will not get extra points.
2. The organizer has the right to veto any personal goal that seems too easy (i.e. writing a sentence).

Points:
You can earn points in these ways:
1. completing the weekly challenge
2. repeating the weekly challenge
3. completing your personal goal
4. combining your personal goal and the weekly challenge

I haven't written in two weeks! (or is it three now?) :'(

Oh, well... I don't know if I will be able to juggle it between school this week, but why not try?

Weekly challenge accepted.
Personal goal: 2,000 words

Just to have fun, the princess (Ought Eight) emotionally rescues the prince (CC1). Almost everyone knows Trail Rat likes the guy but few know the guy likes her. Those of you who have read TDW 1429 Books 1 and 2 can appreciate the humor.

In other news, Personal Goals #2 and #3 complete. Just need one more post for Ought Five and One Two Three.

Personal goals complete. Added the twist of the good being bad. Showing the almost bad girl as good. Showing the former selfish girl as caring and now passed up. Showing the pain of advancement.

Sometimes I think life itself is twisted.

Person goal complete. (But no more.) I also managed to break something on Wordpress and had to reinstall everything. It had only been a week.

Weekly Challenge: is a portal fantasy where the main character isn't forced to save the world cliche bending enough? She's also not causing a big disruption and isn't at all freaked out.

Except for passwords, can you download the config and put it in GitHub?

I'm really getting into this 'bending a cliche' thing.
I just added a Part 3 where a 'hostage situation' is resolved in anything but the usual cliche. :bawl: ;)
