Directions:
1. Post on the challenge thread, declaring the goals you have committed to. This must be done before midnight on Monday.

3. At midnight on Saturday you are not allowed to report any more finished goals, and the challenge is over.

Rules:

Points:
You can earn points in these ways:
1. completing the weekly challenge
2. repeating the weekly challenge
3. completing your personal goal
4. combining your personal goal and the weekly challenge

This week I'm working on revisiting the Peter's Angel synopsis in response to reader feedback... but I don't know that I can really quantify that into a fair goal. :P

GUYS, I know it's past Monday, but I decided for Peter's Angel that I need to rewrite the synopsis. I am going to make some tweaks to the scene list (which is what I wrote last week), and then add bios for each character, along with a couple paragraphs of backstory, to make the overall story clear to people who are not familiar with previous drafts. That's enough wordage to make it a concrete goal (originally I was just going to tweak some scenes, which really wasn't enough to constitute a goal). Can I still make it a personal goal for this week? :beg:

Personal goal complete. Well if I twist the meaning of edit one chapter it is.

On Wednesday I decided to write a new book this month and that shoved a lot of things out of the way.

Weekly Challenge complete!

Ugh; I had considered a personal goal of 2,000 words, and then decided not to. I wrote 5,000+ words to complete the weekly challenge.

Weekly challenge complete. This is really tragic. I'm glad I'm not actually ending the book this way.

One personal goal failed so far. I decided to wait to read How the West Was Written. I do plan to start the editing today.

Whoop, personal goal complete! I'm very happy with the improvements. There are a few scenes that are vague in the synopsis--as in, I know what generally has to happen (i.e., Nathan goes to town), but I'm still debating about the finer details (i.e., which person from the almshouse he's befriended and goes to town WITH), but overall, I've worked everything out and it's solid. Yay! Time to start revising next week. :dieshappy:
