Greetings, fellow Holy Worlds members!

I just recently noticed something dreadful: we have no place specifically set aside for thanking one another for work done on the forums or personal favors or just... for being them!

Hence, I have decided to remedy this problem. Here is the solution. Pretty simple: when you see someone doing an awesome job, you pop over here and write a little note thanking them. It doesn't take long, is lots of fun for both parties, is good manners practice, increases team spirit, the Bible commands us to be thankful and... need I go on? ;)

So, to start us off: Thank you to... well, everyone for your desire to glorify God with your writing, your friendliness here on the forums, and your efforts to make this forum a success. :)

I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged me into writing fantasy. You guys are responsible for this, honestly I would never have written fantasy without having joined here and met you guys. I really enjoy it so thank you.

You have also all been an encouragement in my Christian walk, I have had some amazing, mature and also challenging conversations with you so thanks for that.

Thanks to Jay for making and spending so much time up-keeping this forum!

You have all helped me improve my writing with helpful critiques, thank you.

I have so many things I am thankful for, I'm sure I'll be here frequently!

I'd like to thank Eruhuran for starting me writing and both Eruhuran and Elanhil for getting me on HW. :)

Y'all registered users need some waking up here. I know somebody has somebody else they want to thank. Come on? Everybody who posts gets a cookie. *places cookies on a table*

I'll do some thank you's here. ;)

Angus McCrage (I really hope I spelled that right): He's posted a comment on almost every time I post a chapter of my book and I really enjoy his feedback. A lot of his comments have affected my stories in a very positive way. ;)

Aemi: She actually just joined the forum, but she is already actively participating and all of her posts are wonderfully insightful. She has also posted on some comments on my stories and all of her feedback has been very helpful and thought-provoking. :D

Those are the first two registered users that come to mind...but if I sat down and thought for a few minutes I'd probably be able to think of more. :D Your turn.

I'd like to thank Bethany for thanking me. ;) And I'd like to thank Whackem, Vanya, and Ardyth (and Justin) for critiquing my story. That was super helpful. Also I'd like to thank Airianna for welcoming me when I first got here. It made me feel warm inside. :)

What do you know...I thought of another thank you. Haha, can't believe I forgot this person. I'm appalled at my own forgetfullness. :O

Being off topic aside:

Lady Aris Lillylight: For her character's interactions with my characters in the character intro thread. They really helped me develop Brian, Gavin, and Emuna more and solved quite a few plotting problems as well. ;) So, thank you! :D

I'd like to thank Jay-- for all that he does and is, both on Holy worlds and off.

I am so very excited about what God has done with Holy Worlds, and thrilled that you followed His lead once it really got going and developed it into what we have now.

I know it isn't easy, leading something like this... in fact, I know it is very difficult. But we really appreciate it, and it is worth the trouble: you are changing the culture for Christ in a powerful way.

Thank you.

To my blue peoples: Thank you for all the work you do at keeping things looking neat and clean!! Thank you for being friendly to the users, for upholding the high standards we have here on Holy worlds... And thank you for being, well, blue! :D

I'd also like to thank each and everyone of you who have posted on this thank you thread: thankfulness is key in life (so much so that the Bible commands us to give thanks in everything!!), and so are strong, kind relationships. This contributes to both. Keep on going! :D

I'd like to thank Carissa for starting these thanking threads. Perhaps more than any other project on this site, these have shown the beautiful spirit that in this community, and God's blessing on us. They have drawn us together, and encouraged us to encourage and exhort each other. We are better Christians for them. Thank you, sister.

I also want to thank all of you, as a whole, for being the way you are. The culture and camaraderie here is incredible, and the way God has blessed in this family of friends is beyond belief. I don't know how many of you know exactly how anomalous this forum really is. It is quite literally one of a kind, not only in our peculiar variety of craziness, but in the spirit of Christ-likeness that pervades everything you do. It is gorgeous to behold. Thank you.

As for other individual people, I don't really know where to start and stop.

Thank you, Brendan/Inesdar, for being one of my best friends, always being there for me, cheering me up when I am depressed, challenging me to always keep on going, giving me a clear head when I need it, a willing ear when I need that, and a hard kick here and there when I need those. Thanks, man.

Thank you, Hannah Marie, for writing voluminously and keeping this forum running smoothly with your unflagging energy and consistent diligence. We wouldn't be here without you. Thanks.

Thank you, Katie/Vanya, for your refreshing spirit, your insights into the culture that makes up this forum, your leadership skills, your consistent efforts to improve yourself, and above all, your energy and infectious enthusiasm. Glad to have you on my projects. Thanks a million.

Thank you, Air, for being the wind at my back and the fresh breeze in my face that keeps me going, encouraging, exhorting, and supporting me and all those around you. Also for the absolutely staggering number of posts you have made and people you have connected with on here. Your personal style of leadership is a powerful force on this site. My gratitude is great.

Thank you, Tim[otheous], for your prayers, your steady resolve, your clear thinking, for stepping up to the plate, for filling in where you are needed, and for making HW a priority in your life. Your ministry here is not wasted, nor forgotten. God bless what you are doing here. Many thanks.

Thank you, Jordan/Seer, for catching the fire of the vision for what we are doing here, for coming up with new ideas, for being the quiet word of counsel, for your spirit and drive, and your great way of putting things. Thanks a zillion.

Thank you, Beth/Bethany Faith, for that quite enjoyable chat the other day, and for not being afraid of me.

Thank you, Dieki, for all the hard work you have put into this site, making the chat room what it is, and all your incredible artwork. Can't wait to do more things with you for the site.

And thank you, God, for bringing us all here, and for blessing us so tremendously. Thank you for being here throughout all our little turmoils and conflicts, and for answering our prayers for wisdom and guidance. Thank you for the ability to glorify you through our writing, and for the incredible gift of laughter and joy.

The things I do that warrant thank you's amaze me...excuse me while I go rant about the sentence where he mentioned me to my sister until she threatens to duct tape my mouth and steal my breakfast.

I thank you, Bethany Faith, for responding so sweetly to my prideful criticism of your grammar.
( :P The pride that was in my heart at the time still disgusts me.)

Thank you, Raven of the Wood, for letting your Devon fight with my Davien in the Character Introductions thread. That helped me develop Davien's grappling and wrestling technique. :D It was also fun.

And Thank You to all the people who came and welcomed me on my Introduction thread. That gave me such good feelings.

I am so thankful for each and every one of you. I’ve tried to think up a list of people that I could thank, but I’m having such a hard time. Each and every one of you are special to me in many different ways. You each have such unique giftings and talents. You encourage me in different ways, and some of you have to listen to me more than others, for which I am grateful ;)

If I were to thank each and every one of the people I’d like to, this would be the monster of all my monster posts :D But there are some of you who have become such a large part of my life, that I’d like to feebly express my gratefulness for you.

I’m so grateful for Jay, who led me to this site. For seeing something in me that he felt could bless others, and for challenging me, which is hard to do.

I love my fellow Council Members. They each contribute to HW in so many vastly different ways, but all together we create a strong force, ministering in the different ways that God has gifted us.

Lizzie (aka Shawn Henderson): You were the first HWer that I fell in love with! I hit a very hard spot in my life when I first joined HW. I was just establishing myself when this happened, and you were the first one to come alongside me. You linked yourself to me as a Sister in Christ, and you have remained near and dear to me ever since, always supporting and lifting me up.

Inesdar: Due to how we met and got to know each other, I saw the serious side of you, long before I saw the class clown side of you :D Thanks, Brendan, for everything.

Wren (aka Evening): I could fill a book with my thanks to you, kiddo. You have integrated yourself as a necessary part of my life, and I have been so blessed by our relationship. I can’t go a day without a Wren fix ;) I love your curious mind, and your endless questions. I love that you never get tired of me, and keep coming back for more.

Jonathan: Wow. We’ve had some vast conversations, haven’t we? Thanks for being one of those people who likes to listen. You once said “I like the fact that you can keep a conversation going, even when I don’t have a lot to say.” *chuckles * Thanks for countless long talks, and for always being encouraging.

The E brothers: *rolls eyes fondly * I’m not sure how you both got so entangled in my life, but you have. You are the virtual embodiment of my real brothers, who love hearing about you guys. What would I do without your constant teasing and chat pokes? I’m sure I make your lives more complicated, but I enjoy every minute of it. Thanks guys, for just being you.

Philli: You are one of those wonderfully difficult people who thinks so similarly, yet can disagree with me and still love me! We really did go from 0 to 60 in no time. Thanks for being My Little Elf, and looking over so many things for me! I’m so grateful that you are willing to get drug into projects, yet always remain afloat.

E! (aka Lady Eruwaedhiel): I love how contagious you are! I adore your writing style, and have loved developing our friendship since I’ve joined. You are known around the house as E, the girl whose book won’t hit the shelves fast enough for me!

Jenni and Amanda K: Jenni, you make my day and light up my face. I love looking at your projects and hearing about your Stargate experiences! Thanks for being one of the first people to really engage me early on in chat.
Amanda, you are a wonderful Chat Buddy! You’re always in there with a joke or something amusing for all of us. What would we do without you?

Dusting Daisy: A kindred spirit and a sweet soul. I’ve loved getting to know you over time. You are one of those people that puts other people ahead of you and doesn’t sweat the little things. You are also one of those people I love because you will deny every one of these things that I say, except being a kindred spirit. Don’t ever change, Carissa.

Aussie (aka BushMaid): Who could forget my little Aussie? I love you tremendously, for being a joy to be around, and for being so Un-American ;) I’ve enjoyed tremendous support from you, and have loved our deep, interesting conversations! You are a newer member, but you are one of my most active HRM. Thank you for taking your roles as my Sister in Christ so seriously, as well as taking your role of HRM seriously. It has been so refreshing to have you around to love and talk with me.

And to my Purple People Eaters (since I can’t embarrass them with the name I typically call them by): I love working with you guys! Thanks for being tolerant of me and all my desires for your group. Thanks for responding to pms, and for working alongside me to better the forum and its members. You guys are the often overlooked member group.

So many more to thank, but I will end now. Be prepared, I will end up with more thanks, because you all deserve so many more.

(I'm posting on here. )

I'm poking my head in to thank tsarhaf for posting more on HW! In the year I've been on here, he's been the silent brother of Sir Emeth who wrote an incredible thread about cobha and was seen no more. I sincerely enjoy everything you've been contributing lately. Thanks for putting forth that effort and blessing us all with your insight.

"Wonderfully difficult"... that describes us perfectly! Thank you so much for being willing to drag me into projects in the first place, for soliciting my opinion and entrusting me with duties, even when I am a less-than-functional "secretary." Love you, Airianna Valenshia!

Thanks, big sister, for being awesome and always being on GChat! :) Oh, and for editing stuff that I write, and for posting good input on my ideas, and for keeping me motivated, and a whole slew of other things :D

I'd like to thank everyone who has thanked me for something. You guys have no idea what a blessing that is for me! We are not called to live for man's praise, but validation can be such an encouragement. Thank you.

I'd also like to thank all the new writers here on HW for heartening me! I love seeing you all blossom on the forum. It makes me continue doing what I do. It is a wind in my sometimes tired sail.

I'd like to thank:

Jay: for instigating the flood of emails... even though it was mildly annoying, it also made me laugh. And I'm having fun with replying. Also thank you for reacting so splendidly to the Comic Sans one. And for letting me hack your blog, even though you didn't know that's what you were letting me do. hehehe.

Every single HWer who participated in the flood of emails: (I'm sorry, I can't name all of you. For one thing there were too many of you, and for another I am all confused about who was who...) your smiles made me smile (like so: :dieshappy: ) and your questions made me laugh ( ), think ( :? ) , or... say "why???" (  :P ). haha. Never fear, I shall reply. It just might take a "little" while...

Dieki: for making the Comic Sans prank happen for me. It was grand fun!!

Kaitlyn: for being amused with my statuses. haha.

I know there's more people I want to thank... I'll be back!

Thank you Jay, for Holy Worlds and all the work you've done. It must be a huge burden, and I'm grateful for your faithfulness to it all.

I want to thank the forum team for doing such an awesome job in helping run the forums (and for letting me be a part of it :)).

And thanks to all the Holy Worlds members, for being so much fun, and being good Christ-like examples. There are few, if any, other forums that feel so welcoming and loving, and who remember what our true focus is.

I'd like to thank tsahraf for posting in my world subforum, even though I haven't updated it in ages. :)

I'd also like to thank Jay for starting HW since it's the best forum in the world! (not even joking :D)

And I'd also like to thank Hannah and Jordan for pouring a lot of time into me, with instructions and tips and so on. :)

I'd like to thank Phili for cleaning out GD so nicely. I've been noticing it for a few weeks now gradually getting around to archiving a bunch of stuff and then she came looking for a modding job and it's down to 4 pages instead of 7! Awesome job. :D

I'd like to thank Seer, for really taking such a big part in HW. Seer, you've really helped me an awful lot understanding what a Marcher Lord does and how to do that. And you keep me busy with lots of cool projects, which is fun :dieshappy: Thanks for all your guidance!

I'd like to thank Seer and Jay for encouraging me with the Elf World. Thanks! I appreciate it. :)

I'd also like to thank Vili, Dieki, Bethy, Mel and anyone else who was on last night and prayed for me and encouraged me so much; God used you so much just then and I thank Him for you all. xxx

Thank you Brendan for listening to all my troubles today and giving me words of encouragement. :)

I'd like to thank Katie and Abby (Princessoftheking) for their recent cleaning efforts. It is the behind the scenes stuff that people do that really keeps the forum running smoothly for all of us, making HW as wonderfully clean and inviting as it is.

At the risk of sounding sappy...

I think we should all thank the council for being extremely helpful, kind, friendly, hardworking, easygoing (even when we get just a tad bit hyper... ;) ), and good examples for correct posting ethics, manners, and proper grammar on the forum. Holding up to the Christian and God-pleasing morals and rules of Holy Worlds as well as encouraging and uplifting their fellow members, they have earned their places above the rest in power, responsibility, and respect.
Certainly one of the many reasons Holy Worlds has become a thriving website is because of the members that watch over it with their strong faith in God and kind comments.

So, thank you council members. :D

(See? Warned you it would be sappy. Now I run off. )

I'd like to thank Timotheous. Tim has spent a lot of time and effort around here on HW that many of you do not see. Tim works on the vision and development of HW, alongside Jay, a job that often goes unnoticed. But without his work, HW would not be making the strides that it is.

One of the things that I particularly would like to thank him for is the amazing podcast work that he has been doing. I have one more podcast to listen to and I am all caught up. These podcasts are good, informative, and amazing. If you guys haven't listened to them yet, then do. It is worth the time. I've found the best way for me to listen to them is while I'm doing chores. You don't have to sit there and only listen. Turn it on while you are doing a task that doesn't require a lot of mental energy. It is worth the time.

Thank you Tim, for all your hard work.
