Plans to compete at the inter System championships are derailed when the team is captured by pirates. Each team member must dig deep and do "whatever it takes" to help the rest of the team escape. From one it may take all.

Tell me more!
This is a great premise, but it's more of a logline. It's bare-bones, so as a one-sentence pitch, it would work. For back cover copy, you need more detail. What are the games? Who's on the team? Pirates?? What's the setting, genre, era, etc.?

Agreed. What exactly do they need to do to escape? What happens if they don't escape? Are they under a time-crunch to escape in time to still make the championships?
