I had this all written and then my browser crashed...
I just got this recording done yesterday. The song is inspired by the ending to Harpist in the Wind, which is the finale to the Riddle-Master trilogy, which I probably talk too much about as it is. :D

Can't attach a audio file so here's the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGh5PfoUk9Q

LYRICS: Wandering gently as a river
Then I turn and shape the wind
I am lost and I'm bewildered
I can't let you go again.

Sleep silent under rocky stone
The earth you loved is all around
From Wind-plain comes the gentle sound
Of my grief...

You were gentle as the spring time
And of the homeland which I loved
Your fierceness was that of the falcons
I was caught within your love.

When the Great War has been ended
And the land has been brought peace
Then I'm silent in your stillness
In your sleep...

Sleep silent under rocky Cairn
The earth that's yours is all around
From all my realm there comes the sound
Of my grief...

Of my love.

Wow, that sounds very good! Is that your voice or someone elses? :D

Thank you. :D

Playing harp isn't horribly complicated, although to play it well is probably very difficult. My fingers just don't want to move very fast. :? But it's like most instruments, they're incomprehensible until you learn them and then it's mostly just practice. ;)

Wow! Nice. I want to learn harp. I just finished the first Riddle-Master book and have requested the others. They're so good! Although I didn't like that it left you hanging in a bad, bad way. :?
Lovely song. I'm a bit teary-eyed. ;)

Cool! Someone else who has read Riddle-Master! And when you finish the trilogy you'll understand the obscure references in my song that no one else will see. :D

It does leave you hanging, but in such a way that it makes you think that if you think hard enough you might be able to figure it out... but you never do. ;)

Very nice Janin. I haven't listened yet because I'm at work and my associates wouldn't appreciate me disturbing their lunch hour with my fantasy obsession, but I'll listen tonight when I get home after my Grotto meeting.

Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

Nessa- She's given up the veil, the vows she'd sworn, abandoned every effort to conform. Without a word to anyone she's gone her way alone, a dove escaping back into the storm.

Nolan- And though I don't understand why this happened, I know that I will when I look back someday, and see how you've brought beauty from ashes, and made me as gold purified through the flames.

Azriel- And who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts, and tearing love apart? You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul, so don't come back to me. Don't come back at all...
