At the moment at home, I never find a moments peace to actually have a couple of hours to write.
At the moment it's excusable, we've had plenty of ups and downs these past few months, two babies on the way (one now here) and work is manic. However, even when my life isn't such an upheaval of happenings, I can never find peace to write. You can be sure, the moment I settle down, whether in my bedroom, or in the front room, I will hear 'Stephanie!' or someone will just need something, or want to tell me a tale of woe, or need encouragement, or want me to go to the shops with them, or just want to talk. I find it very hard to find quiet space in our house. Don't get me wrong, I am fine lending a listening ear, helping out and so on; however I desperately want to find that quiet space to write, and I have yet to do so.
Where do you guys settle down to write? Do you have your own place where you are not disturbed, or do you find that, like me, it's hard to find a peaceful place.
I've taken to thinking that when I pass my driving test (hopefully in the next few weeks) I might even drive out and park up somewhere, so I can write without disturbance. Maybe even find a nice spot that I find somewhat inspiring. I don't know, I'm just getting desperate!
