Greetings,

I'm new to HW. First impression: looks awesome.

You can call me Kenton. I'm a writer (of course) and I take it very seriously.

Erm . . . that pretty much sums me up.

Hello!

Just about. o.O

Favorite author? Brian Jacques and J.R.R. Tolkien are close. But probably Tolkien.

Still, I've reread the Chronicles of Narnia more than any other series ever so maybe I prefer C.S. Lewis.

Those are good.... Have you read much of Tolkien's work?

How long have you been writing? :)

Ooh, cake! :dieshappy:
My current story is a novel. I haven't begun writing it yet so I haven't thought of a title. But it's about two teenagers from our world getting transported to another fantasy world. Then they have to defeat an evil baddie; blablablah . . . though that premise doesn't give much of an idea as to what the story is really about. :P

What about you?

I've read the Silmarillion, the trilogy, the Hobbit, part of the Unfinished Tales, and most importantly . . . the CHILDREN OF HURIN! :0

Sorry for the outburst. :P It's just that the Children of Hurin is my favorite book ever and it's also what got me into writing. :P

I'm working on my third year being a writer. Not that I didn't write stories beforehand, but I wasn't serious about writing at the time. And how long have you been writing?

Fantasy and a flourish of historical fiction. I've also written a bit of modern day fiction, but only for one project. What about you? What do you write (if you write, which I assume you do)?

Hello and welcome! :) I'm new too, and I've had a lovely time so far.

I noticed that your profile says you're a published author - what have you gotten published?

Ah! Yes. The Children of Hurin is... masterful. And amazingly sad. I have not read it in a while, but I do not think I will ever forget the part about Beleg when he saved Turin from the orcs, and then... Turin... yeah. :| It's a painful story. And amazing.

Yes, I know how you mean. I've technically been writing fantasy since I was around six or something, but I only became serious around five years ago.
