Yep, the blank part is supposed to be there! You have to ask a fellow writer to describe a place in their world at a certain time of day. So for instance:
Describe a typical day in a bakery in Tevo:
It's dark outside still, and Bubb is up preparing fresh bread for the bakery. He's up at this time every morning, and by 6am the shop is open, and the smell of fresh bread is wafting across the green. A few mothers are making their way across almost immediately, to buy fresh bread for their soon awaking children. The baker, known as Bubb, is a short fellow, with a balding head; beady brown eyes stare across the counter, but it's his smile that draws attention; it brightens up the whole store in a moment, and his booming voice cracks with laughter. The door bell jingles loudly and a Dwarf enters. Bubb's smile disappears. Bubb does not like Dwarves, and happy though he is in general, he doesn't hide this fact. It's very unusual to see a Dwarf in the village, especially a lone one, and Bubb's frown deepens as the aforementioned walks out without purchasing one thing. This was definitely the gossip item for the day.
Question: Am I in the keeping to the right tense throughout this? 
It's just a bit of fun, but I thought it might also be great for some world development.
