Hello everyone. My real name is Geoff, but my username is Dorsidhion (pronounce that however you want, I'm not even sure how it's supposed to be pronounced). I found this forum through a link in someone's signature on another forum, and I think I'm going to like it here. I like writing, but I've never had anything published or even finished a story. Look forward to seeing everyone in the forums.

Hi and welcome, Geoff! Nice to 'meet' you. :)

Do you write fantasy? What are your favourite genres?

Welcome again! Looking forward to seeing you around here. :)

Hullo, and welcome, Dorsidhion! (It's dor-SID-hee-on.) Nice to meet you! And by the way, I like your real name too. :D I once read a sci-fi book that had a semi-main character named that. And I liked him. ;) So your name has good connotations attached to it. :dieshappy:

My favorite genres are probably fantasy and sci-fi, but I've only written fantasy. I might try writing sci-fi at some point. My favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Christopher Paolini, and Wayne Thomas Batson. I have one story that I started. Before I got very far I got stuck because there was no plot, but I'm now going back to salvage what I can from it. Thanks for all the welcomes everyone, and the cake.

Howdy, Geoff! Glad you followed my link!

And Kitra and Calista, the correct pronunciation is (dor-sith-i-on) where the "th" is voiced, as in the word "though", or "that", not as in the word "Sith" from Star Wars. Similar to Maedhros.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

Note: Ebed is Hebrew for bondsman, Eleutheros is Greek for unrestrained (not a slave).
