Post subject:  My Sister Rocks!
I'm not sure if this post is okay, and I hope the editors of HW will just delete it if it isn't, but I wanted to try and help my little sister in something she is doing.

My little sister is an awesome drummer, and she has entered a contest. It is in the voting phase, and I am trying to do everything I can to help promote her video. It is pretty great. She makes the song sound better than it did before, which is pretty hard to do. You can check it out here.

Anyway, I'm sorry if we aren't supposed to post things like this. I just really want my sister to win that contest. She needs a new drum set badly. She had to use our church's drum set to make the video. If you wouldn't mind just spreading it around to people (maybe you could post it on Facebook or something). It only takes like 10 seconds to vote, and you can do it once a day.

Again, I'm sorry if it is inappropriate to post something like this on HW. Please just delete if it is. I won't do it again.

I voted for her! :D I was pretty chuffed to see another girl drummer. My little brother recently got an electric drumkit and I've hijacked it. :cool: Drumming is something I now want to get really good at, and I so enjoyed seeing how good your sister is at it. Thankyou for posting about it! :D

She just informed me that she needs to try and get into the 8,000 votes range in order to continue to the next round where they are judged by the official judges. The voting continues through the end of this month, so there is still a pretty good chance she can pull it off. She one time got 1,000 votes in a day, maybe it is possible to do it again.

Thanks for all of the help guys! There is still a long way to go, but it is looking like we are getting there. Remember you can post the link on your facebook or google+ pages. We have found that helps get a lot of votes.

I wouldn't have known that was the name of their drummer, but I love that band too. I haven't listened to them in a while though because all of my usual music is in the US and I am not...

That is so cool! I really need to learn to play the guitar. Actually, my sister (the same one) is pretty good on the guitar too; drums were her first though.

I'm in Uganda. I'll be heading home in May.
